I don’t know for you guys but it seems to me that there is to much powerweapon everywhere, I mean wow… everyone can have a powerweapon spawning to you after 5-6 kills, that is way too easy to get ordonance… after you get your first Sniper Riffle and you easily get 4 kills with it and you make 2 more kills and yay! another weapon drop… I’ve seen some infinity slayer on haven and everyone seems to have a powerweapon in their hand, its sniper vs rocket vs sticky detonator vs SAW vs sword vs neddler etc… I love the concept of infinity slayer but everything is just too much.

Ordinance drops won’t get you top-tier power weapons (rockets, Sword, etc.), only mid-tier (Needler, SAW, etc.), grenades, and powerups.

You don’t get ordinance for kills, you get it for medals/points. If you just keep getting AR kills and dying, you will never get ordinance.

the amount of medals/points it takes to get ordinance increases with each ordinance. the 1st one might be easy, but it will get harder and harder as you go.

you will not always get a power weapon. In fact, the power weapons are much more rare than the SAW, Needler, or powerups.
4.As said above, Infinity slayer isn’t the only slayer variant. Hell, its not even the default variant, and will probably show up just as often as the default slayer in matchmaking. There will be very simplified classic playlists, so you can play with a completey halo 3 feel if you wish.
I have the same impression as OP after having watched some game play videos available on YouTube. Although so far I have not seen a drop of Rocket Launcher, I did see drops of Incinerator Cannon.
I believe that “Infinity Slayer” is designed to be part of the “social” playlists. It is definitely not the “standard” slayer, in which the ordinance drops are random.
I don’t see any problems of having game modes for both “casual fun” and “competitive fun”. 1) they can be used to please different audience; 2) even for “competitive” spirited players, it is cool to have the “casual fun” options to go to when they want to take a break from the intensities of competitive play.

that doesn’t confirm whether or not we can play it in matchmaking, it just says a classic gametype will be in the game

Then it would be named just “Team Slayer”. They also showed a gametype called “Team Slayer” that did not have Ordinance Drops in it at E3.
This will not be a good playlist, this will be the bad kid playlist becuase it has too many power weapons and all they think of is “BOOM” and also for the great players that will just stat on these kids. It will be a bad playlist stick to regular slayer.
