Im sort of confused of what INFINITY will be like. If you are on the ship Infinity, does that mean that you walk around the ship freely and choose between lobbys freely on the ship as if the ship itself was acting like the main menu or is it just on the main menu called Infinity multiplayer.

Infinity is where your multiplayer will take place in halo 4. Its the sparts IV’s training place. The ship simulates real- life areas. kind of like The hunger games. if you have seen it.
Im just a bit confused because they put a story in multiplayer and they also named the frigate after the multiplayer so it is kinda something to think over.

Infinity is what Multiplayer is going to be called because it takes place on the ship of that name. The Multiplayer is going to be Spartan IVs vs. Spartan IVs in what are pretty much training simulations. The Infinity has a room that can change into different environments(aka different maps).
That’s what Infinity is, but you don’t get to walk around in it unless maybe in some Spartan Ops missions. =)

Yes, they are naming the new multiplayer (Infinity) after the ship. so basically thats where your spartsn will be training (multiplayer) spartan ops will be kind of filling those shoes too. except think spartan ops are ACTUAL missions you will have to encounter.
