could the infinity be the ship in the background of halo reach’s ending? to me it looked just like it. im probably wrong but why wud they show a ship in the background if not for a reason. it wudnt surprise me if at the end of halo 6 you go back to reach and you can see noble 6 helmet on the floor lol. what do u guys think?
During Halsey’s narrative? The one landing in the background?
Nah, can’t be. Much too small. Much to silver, Forerunner looking.
Plus, that takes place in 2589. I highly doubt the Infinity will last that long. Not many ships the Chief sets foot on survives very long…
Everything that JSA343 said, plus that it doesn’t look much like the Infinity either to be honest.
That ship is much too small. Do you realise the UNSC Infinity is over three kilometres long? That ship didn’t look a metre over six hundred.
Way too small.
Besides, it would need a massive docking platform to “land”.
Too small to be Infinity.

I doubt ships that big ever land. If they needed to, a platform would have to specially designed for that specific ship.

Then they couldn’t get off the ground without heavy thrusters.
The Infinity would crash land without a dock, and wouldn’t get up without the thrusters from a dock. It would be awesome if it had built in thrusters, though.
I want to see what happens, because it appears that the Infinity does make it into the air again sometime.

Why land when you can crash? That seems to be the way of thinking of every UNSC starship and Pelican in every Halo game…
Ok, OP, I want you to look back the first mission that you’re on the Ark, where the FOD lands, think about the size of that ship. Now, lets take the Live action trailer from E3, If you pause the trailer, right where I linked you give or take 2 seconds, you’ll see two ships of the same class, one on the fore left, and one in the back ground, bottom left cornor, now look at the size of the Infinity compared to those two FOD sized ships. the UNSC Infinity is not made to land on the surface of a planet, it’s way too big. Hell in Star Trek, most ships the size of the Galaxy class don’t even land on the surface of the planets, not only are they not designed for such a task, but also they’re too big, and heavy. If the Infinity was to be that ship, the Infinity would first had to be destroyed, and then a smaller ship given the name of Infinity, which I don’t see happening, or the ship you see, wouldn’t be landing, but landing crafts would be coming down, from the ship, and the bottom of the Infinity most likely wouldn’t go past the top of the ship that’s in the back ground in Reach’s Ending.
reach takes place before halo ce infinity is built after halo 3 so no
I always thought it was a colony ship, like the Spirit of Fire.
> reach takes place before halo ce infinity is built after halo 3 so no
Shows how much you pay attention… The ending of Halo Reach takes place far after Halo 3. So the Reach ending takes place either during or after the current trilogy.
I can’t remember the exact year or I would tell you. I think it’s somewhere around 2589? or something like that. Halo CE - Halo 3 take place in the 2550’s.
To get back on topic the ship looks too small. Looks more like some of the ships seen in concept art. I’ll link them when I find em.
AND
THIS is the ship at the end of Reach.

Yeah, my theory is that they some how got some forerunner tech to give them a little bit of a helping hand, or the Forerunners get the ship back into the sky, and then the Humans over took the Forerunners and got their ship back.

Yeah, DARKandtheLIGHT, you need to pay attention a little more. Reach was Glassed, at the end, in that scene with the ship, there was grass, flowers, and life, something that wouldn’t happen in the amount of time between the events of Reach, and Halo 4.

Wait…what?! Reach happens WHEN again?
Ok. Reach is a prequel to the events of Halo CE: always has been. can’t think of a sarcastic or rudely humorous way to show you. I have no idea how you possibly came up with that theory that it happens after H3… Smh.

All of the events in Reach, up until, the scene with the star ship in the back ground behind your helmet, takes place before Halo CE, the scene with the star ship in the back ground behind your helmet, takes places YEARS after the events in Halo CE, 2, 3, and 4. When you watch it, look around, you’ll see plant life, something that wouldn’t happen in the few days time that was Halo Reach to Halo CE, on a planet being glassed.

Another person that just doesn’t pay attention. THE END…OF…HALO REACH… TAKES PLACE… AFTER HALO 3.
While that is not the infinity it is possible with in this new trilogy of games we may go back to reach, so the ship could be something relevant. Though the second visit on reach after its glassed may be that date in the ending the question is how long and where will this trilogy take place in halos time line. Will it span like the first trilogy close together or will it take a different approach?

Doesn’t mean it isn’t the Infinity…

No, the size and shape of the Infinity doesn’t match the ship at the end of Reach. NOT infinity, read my other post explaining the size difference.
