What really buged me in Halo 2 was that even though you were on earth there we mostly more covies than Humans.
So i was wondering, there are 12.000 (or more) crew members on the infinity so i think we are going to see loads of marines. (or did they all die on impact?)
They better not make it so, that when the chief finally arrives at the infinity ship that he encounters prometheans and covies. Because they are trained soldiers on there and even spartans! Secure the perimeter.
After the crash i expect at least about 11.500 to survive and start organizing the remaining survivors
So what do you think, the all magical died? or are they going to help for a change?
hmm, would be cool. Also would be nice for larger scale battles. Not that scene in Reach at Tip of The Spear where all we can do is watch, I wanna actually participate in that.
i expect alot less to survive, but i would love for more marines to be present, reach made a massive point of having 40 AI on screen at once but they never did once…
The Live-Action Trailer said 17,000. But remember, not all of are battle-hardened marines who love shooting things. Many are navy personel, operating the ship, engineers, for repairs, and probably scientists and civilians, because this ship was repurposed for peace.
Also from the gameplay, the Infinity is immedietly surrounded and boarded. Evident by the large amounts of Covies around it and the unknown officer calling for assistance after strange enemies attempt to enter the bridge.
With the size of the ship and the amount of people on it, I assume there’ll be a large UNSC presence in the Halo 4 campaign. I don’t think they’ll be wiped out but remember it was a vessel functioned for exploration according to the live action trailer.

> There* They’re*

> Sorry, it bothered me to no end. (Not trying to be an -Yoink!-, i swear.)

> But anywho, not seeing many humans on Earth during your playtime as Chief can probably be chalked up to civilians being evacuated from hazard zones.
Yeah if you play ODST it’s revealed that New Mombassa was evacuated as the Covenant landed.
But yeah I do hope there are more marines etc. in H4. I’m one of those people who like keeping their marine allies alive throughout the mission.
The other day I was playing Halo 2 and had a single female marine with a beam rilfe with me all the way across the lake and helped me kill Regret, it was awesome.
We’ve all been told that these new Spartan 4’s will be people of military exception who show signs of the gentic markers Dr Halsey predetermined made subjects perfect candidate for augmentation right ?
Well we all know that Johnson was a subject of the original spartan augmention program ’ Orion ’ ( not the Spartan 2 programme that the chief was part of * for noobs ) because he had these genetic markers .
Well , my pitch is this … One of these Spartan 4’s in the squad that we will be a part of in Spartan Ops ( and I’m hoping will be cast into the campaign as well ) could be J118 .
Now imagine this - * Cutscene aboard the infinity after Chief boards * J118 - " Chief " .
Masterchief turns and faces a spartan 4 determined to introduce himself . J118. - " I’m J… 118 , " .
Chief - " J … "
Interrupting Swiftly J118 says - " yes sir son of Avery Johnson service tag … " .
Chief interupts - " Your father was a friend , a hero , and an inspiration . Be proud son " .
Entirely possible as Johnson always did ’ know what the ladies like ’ .
There are 17,000 people aboard.
During the Demo the box pops up to the left with the UNSC Captain saying how the Covenant or Prometheans are braking into the hull. So when you combine this with the large forces Chief sees moving in on the Infinity you know a lot will die in fighting.
Also you see the Mammoth out in the desert area, plus the Demo also says “All recon teams fall back to the Infinity” so you know there are forces out and about.
