Hey so im in Australia and registered for the Challenge on the 4th of December.
The email for registration says the Challenge commences on the 17th of December.
Its currently the 9pm on the 18th of December and was wondering what is happening with the Leader boards?
I have read through both the Halo Waypoint and -Yoink!- Gaming info on the event and haven’t found anything to answer the question.
The Daily Challenges end and reset at around 7:40pm then continues on until the same time the next day. which means for me im into my second day of the Challenge already.
As far as I understand the Challenge is the weekly challenge (kill 250 players) and only the first 20 people to do that win something for sure. The leaderboards for Infinity Slayer are separate and just based on who has the most free time as you get 1 point per game played and 1 extra per win.
So because of the timezone you might have as good a chance as anywhere in Australia to get the weekly ones each Monday but still, unless you are exceptionally lucky or have some collusion you won’t be one of the first 20 just because of how many ppl play.
So the Leaderboards for Wargames and Spartan Ops will be refreshed and updated weekly also along with the Waypoint Challenges?
I am more concerned with how the Wargames Leaderboards will be updated and when it will be.

The leaderboards will be updated every 24 hours. So, it should be updated some time this morning I think.
I am more interested in what it is calculating. I was under the impression that it was your in-game score that was calculated for War Games. I have no idea what it would be for Spartan Ops.
The first 20 people. It does not say the achieve the 250 kills. It’s very ambiguious
From the webpage with leader boards:
"Complete the Weekly Challenge for the corresponding week. The top 20 winners who complete the weekly challenge and are registered for the tournament will get the prize pack. Remember you can always track your progress in the weekly challenge through Halo® Waypoint.
Check out the prizing page to see what you are competing for.
"
I am being careful and making sure my KD is better than normal.
I’m just curious on how they’re ranking things. Is it based on most kills, K/D, wins, or what?
I kinda hope they do it similar to Arena, where they take your best few games and average them out for a daily score, that would make it a lot more fair than most kills or wins to the people that can’t play all day.

Yeah that’s what makes it ambiguous. We don’t know and I can’t find that info anywhere. I doubt it would be first to 250 kills as that is unfair. I don’t know much about US laws but if players in some states can’t take part then something in law must stop them.
This could be because it will, in the end, just be some type of lottery. Need somebody in the “not allowed” states to tell us what gambling restrictions they have ie for lottery, raffles etc…
Good luck to everyone who takes part and remember it’s the taking part and having fun that counts. By having fun you win anyway.
