So, I have seen many posts here already of people cheating in the matchmaking side of Infinity challenge. But the Spartan OPS side has gone unknowticed.
So we started to play with my friend as soon as the finals started on the 12th day and continued to play through the night almost continuously. We both had a pretty good feeling about the result. Oh how wrong we were…
As the first results came in after 24 hours after the finals started, we had about 40 games completed. The problem was the leaderboard #1 had 218 games completed. I simply cannot even begin to comprehend how it is possible. Sure, we did not always play the shortest chapter and sure we had breaks and all, but the difference between us and the #1 was a complete surprise.
We began to think how much time it usually takes to complete a game. The actual game being a minimum of 5 minutes plus the loading and game searching which usually takes at least 3 - 5 minutes.
So the #1 should have played a match in 6 minutes. And all this completely without ANY breaks. That doesn’t seem possible to me. I can somehow understand how someone could play for 24 hours straight, but the pace has been the same ever since the beginning. NO ONE is able to play continuously that long.
On top of that, I checked one of the leaders’ stats on waypoint today. This [redacted] has played Spartan OPS (and this is a new gamertag, he has only player Spartan OPS and nothing else) 1 D 13 H 36M and he has completed 502 games. That equals to 4½ minutes per game. That’s very nice I think.
I’d really like to know if someone had a good explanation to how on earth they are able to score so many points without cheating. Currently it looks like tier 3 is the only cheatfree tier. Go casuals!
I have a small hope that -Yoink!- takes action with these kind of people. They completely ruin the game for the real gamers who play it fair.
