Okay, so with the challenge over now, we would get a mail on the result… right? To quote:
> WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winners will be notified by email within twenty-four (24) hours of the conclusion of the Challenge Week. In the event of any dispute concerning the operation of any element of the Promotion, the decision of Sponsor will be final.
I’m on spot 191 of Tier 1. So I should have gotten a mail I’d have won the UNSC Dogtags… right? Well, nothing came in my mail. No messages on xbox, Waypoint or any email adress I use. Has anyone else have had this? Or are all mails still going to be sent? There isn’t exaclt much info on the prizes…
Its coming soon i bet, and im guessing with today being MOnday theres a chance that its today, so just keep checking threw out th eday and keep in mind on where you live in realation to where the offices are for 343, time differnce can be a factor as allways
okay true… Since I’m in Holland there’s about 9 hour difference. I thought they were meant to send them at the 20th though… right when the challenge finished? But I suppose they could’ve meant to do it on monday. I’ll wait for some more then and just go LASO on campaign in the meanwhile

Im sure htey are also making sure those who broke any rules during the challange dont earn anything, meaning the score board will be changing moving those who didnt cheat around,
I believe they are still working on clearing out all the cheaters and stat-padders first, which may take some time. I also have not received any email yet.
their probably booting half of the top 30 tier 1 for being the biggest stat padding, playing with only second account friends, cheating cheaters!! The top guy had matches of over 1,000 pts…that’s total crap. You can also tell when he let his crappy friends play so he could sleep. scores go from 700 - 800 points a game to a string of 250 - 350 pts a game. I hope they really look into at least the person who is going to win the truck.
> It was a complete waste of time. I even beat the weekly challenge in just over an hour soon it came out. Yet I get beaten by 20 people? Really?
yeah I didn’t get that either… just didn’t go for those anymore…

o.o really? then I’m more awesome then I thought! ;D
Thanks for posting this. I have not yet received an email regarding prizes either so hearing that many other people have also not is reassuring. The problem is people have different perspectives on what is cheating. Hopefully in future tournaments the rules will be more clear/specific on what is/isn’t considered cheating. If something can be done in game without any modification of data, I can see why it could be hard to label as cheating. As far as people getting others to play on their accounts 24/7, yes it sucks but unfortunately the structuring of the tournament was set up to allow it. There was no direct statement in the rules to regard it as cheating. Also, everyone had the same amount of time as well as ample amounts of time to make some sort of similar arrangement.
I’m trying to view this cheating debate as objectively as possible. Just before anyone comments saying I’m defending this issue, I didn’t have such an arrangement either.

glad I’m not the only one either…
the cheating is indeed vague as mist… you can AFK in spartan ops with ease, go with guests in matchmaking or even let someone else play all day for you.
And besides, here in europe the “weekly challenge” starts at 11 am. seeing how everyone is at school or work then, we don’t have a shot at it. not exactly fair at all if you ask me.
if they ever go do such a tournament again, they have to make it about skill. not time…
I really wanted the Ford Raptor. You know off roading around the neighborhood like the warthog, bumping in the neighborhoods fences and doing donuts around their backyards and more importantly, splattering people.
I fully agree. I didn’t like the time aspect at all. Ideally everyone should have the exact same chance at doing well on their own power. Wow 11 am. I’m sorry that must have sucked. lol
Yes I also sent -Yoink!- an email regarding the notification process. If you read, it says that you must sign and return a release within 5 days to be a valid prize contender.
I asked how exactly countries outside their area would achieve this.
I don’t know if it’s for the minor prizes, or just the $100+ ones, but still something to consider.
I won a Die-cast Warthog. Pretty happy with that!
Although, I will partly be annoyed if the score boards change, because if they get rid of cheaters I’ll move up into the next tier, which is a book of sketches… Not my style. lol
Nice! With any luck since so many people are examining the rules and speaking up about their concerns we won’t have too many issues. Thanks to having to work I ended up with the Halo 4 Series 1 Action Figure 5-Pack which is actually still pretty cool, and I managed to somehow just barely nab a weekly challenge prize pack so I’m just eagerly awaiting the emails. lol

I got one of those warthogs for christmas. The McFarlane halo master chiefs fit in it. I bought the Master Chief Evolution 3 Pack and placed all three in the warthog Halo 3 MC Driving. Halo 2 MC Passenger. Halo 3 MC Gunner. Awesome, and I hope you still get one after all this fiasco is over. I just want my dog tags and I will be happy.
Hopefully that won’t be an issue. If it’s coordinated with 343, it’s possible they may be able to view recorded videos of matches, but I’m not entirely sure if they have that capability for Spartan Ops or not.

They already did. Strongside has been winning these competitions since Halo 3. He is also one of the most winningest players in MLG history as well. The person before him got DQ’d for cheating though.
