Infinity Challenge is not worth it IMO

Only the players that sink in constant games either playing for 20+ hours straight or having friends rotate on one account are going to have any shot at actually winning anything, which completely defeats the purpose of any regular player possibly having a shot at winning a prize, let alone the grand prize.

I registered but I honestly don’t see any point in trying for either challenge. I may have plenty of free time since I’m on holidays, but I’m not going to put myself at harm physically and mentally from over-exhaustion from trying to win a challenge I have no hope of winning.

Just my 2 cents on the matter.

you have a fair point and completely agree with you to me the whole point of this Infinity Challenge was for everybody to have a chance of winning but people are just going to team up and your going to have no chance what so ever

This is why I never participate in challenges/competitions such as these. There’s always going to be a few people that can dedicate an ungodly amount of time to it or team up to beat the system. It’s just pointless.

thats what tier 2 and tier 3 are for, The top 10% (the real hard workers who rotate controllers will most likely be in top 10%) and then tier two is where we will have a small shot, and tier 3 is if u are casual

I would like to see them decide who gets to make a cameo in the game then.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the rules of Account ownership was reinforced here?

You should never let anyone else use your account.

Anyhow, I haven’t even started and I’ve allready given up hope because I’m not even going to get anywhere, simply because of controller rotation and people doing a lot of time infornt of the TV.

Even if I would win the Cameo appearnace. I’d have to pay for the trip myself, thus I instantly lose some motivation to actually try. It feels like this challenge is mainly aimed at America, but out of goodwill, they’ve made it available elsewhere.

well you gotta earn it to win it, i see no fault in that. they are giving out a halo-themed car after all. but there’s only 1 prize I think?, they should announce tons of other smaller prizes for participation so ppl dont give up after seeing the top of leaderboards has like 500+hrs over them.

My exact thoughts when I read about it.

Agreed, to an extent. It’s certainly weighted in the favor of the types of players you mentioned. Also within about 90 minutes of the Waypoint weekly challenge going up (where the first 20 people to complete it get a prize pack) I heard a party of four bragging about how they just got done boosting the challenge. Come to think of it though, the prize pack challenge might be an entirely different thing that’s only posted on the site. Not particularly sure, but I’ve pretty much lost any interest in chasing prizes. I’d rather make money and buy my own stuff, and keep my free time to myself since there are plenty of other great games to be played right now.

Anyways, rewards like this seem to attract the worst kind of people.

Yep, great “tournament” (term used very loosely) for people that can just sit in front of their tv’s all day. Instead of calling it the Infinity Challenge, they might as well have named it what it actually is…the “Who Can Avoid In-Person Social Interaction The Most Challenge”.

Frankly, I’m rather happy that I work and have family obligations which keep me from participating in this…it reduces my exposure to many of the types of players that exploit everything they can in order to “win” these events.
