So i was just reading up on the infinity challenge and i came across this “excluding residents of AZ, CT, MD, TN, VT, QUEBEC AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW”
Sooo You guys are excluding 5 US states why?
Because certain states have stricter rules for contests, and its just easier and cheaper to avoid those states than trying to comply with their rules or change the entire contest.
I don’t know why but i signed up and i would like to say Good luck to the players whom also signed up.
So I’m in AZ so i don’t get to participate? That is stupid. I have never seen a US based national contest that excludes some of its own states. And it also let me signup.
Bump want answers please.
Yeah, I’m in TN, and it let me sign up, and play…
Don’t want to waste my time on it if there is zero chance of collecting on prize, even if it is a smaller one.
Answers would be nice… I sent an email to support@virgingaming.com, which is the email given at the bottom of the FAQ page if you have more questions, and it reads as such:

I was reading through the details of the rules on the challenge, and came across this sentence…:
The Tournament is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations and is VOID IN AZ, CT, MD, TN, VT, and QUEBEC AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
So does this specifically mean anyone living in those states cannot win any of the prizes at all, and should not bother participating?
Thank you for your response.
If I get a response, I will post it here.
Got an answer really quickly…

Your request (#907510) has been deemed solved.
Jason, Dec 22 23:25 (EST):
Hey Aaron,
Those states are not eligible to participate in this promotion and therefore will not be able to win prizes. I apologize cor the inconvenience.
Thank you,
Jason

I suppose the next question I should be asking is … what specific reason prohibited these states? sigh
Too bad I’m in TN.
… although I might still play their game just for fun to see how good I can do, as I am already registered and on the rankings board.
> Too bad I’m in TN.
Because some states like to say Don’t tread on me.
