Um…how? Sure they will last six months, but they managed to survive 30+ years against a vastly superior foe, ie the Covenant. We don’t know the extent or spread of the Ancient Evil and it’s forces. We don’t even know what the Ancient Evil really is.

Because if it only takes place a FEW MONTHES after h4, and the infinity is still around 6 monthes after that, then we already know that master chief wins and humanity is saved
It is funny because the 6 month period is longer than the Halo trilogy (excluding Halo 3 Memorial)
Just because the Infinity survives doesn’t mean that the Chief is with it.

So the FIRST game is slightly spoiled…doesn’t mean much for the rest of the trilogy. What about Cortana’s fate? DO we know THAT?

No one is saying Master Chief won, for all we know, he could die in Halo 4, not likely, but plausible, we know the Infinity escapes from Requiem, but does it actually escape the same time Chief does, it could escape five months after the end of Halo 4 which is when Halo 6 could be set, to rescue the Infinity and get it back to human controlled space.
