Watching the IGN preview gameplay, she states that the map is nothing like an Assassin’s Creed map size in fact, “far from that”.
I assume they aren’t talking about the latest iterations like Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla but just all their map sizes in general. Maybe the map size for Infinite is the size of Batman Arkham Knight. Not too big but big enough to explore? Maybe a little bigger?
Just a forum to heads up on what the expect when exploring…

Impossible to predict. Even if we knew the size of the overworld, it could still have tons of stuff happening in caves/dungeons.
Original Assassins Creed was extremely small, she was likely comparing it to recent AC games, which is expected as AC games are absurdly large (think like 2 or 3 times the size of Skyrim large)

I think they do mean Odyssey or Valhalla. I wouldn’t even have called earlier AC games open world. Which is fine since most of that is water and it probably doesn’t include the single player “Dungeon” areas they talked about.
Sure, we re not getting an entire ring. But it looks very impressive to me compared to say Gears 5.

this honestly means so little to me. If I was to guess though, id prob say something comparable to Arkham city/knight. Maybe slightly bigger
Halo Infinite is a live service game. Regardless of how big or small the map is at launch it’s possible that we get new environments and missions down the line, similar to Destiny.

Based on the minimap we saw it seems, not gigantic, but sizeable enough to have a lot of fun things to do. Which is good I think, cause too much space just leads to repetitive stuff in the game which gets boring; nearly every big open-world game has that issues (except BotW because that game is a godsend and has fun unique stuff literally everywhere).
It looks a decent size to me, having it too big can cause issues, same as too small.
343 said it was 7 times larger than h4 & 5 put together, and the way they seem to of addressed it looks like a good balance and avoided certain things in normal open world maps that feel repetitive.
I haven’t played assassins creed or batman. Got a really good feeling about Infinite
So, is it safe to say the map on the latest previews is indeed the whole map? With some extra underground caves and bases.
BotW is repetitive trash, I said what I said
I respect that you have your own opinion… but nonetheless, I choose to reject it as heathen blasphemy lol
I assume they are referring to the more recent AC games which have massive maps. I would assume that the Halo Infinite map is at least as large as some of the older AC Maps like Unity and Syndicate.
