Halo infinites grenade art style is weak compared to classic halo’s. Infinite’s grenades lack that punch there’s not a big smoke cloud and no dirt particles go flying. It look likes a cute ball of fire not an explosion.
I didn’t like the grenade explosions last year, and I like them even less now. Even for Halo, it’s too cartoony/stylized.
I thought the plasma nades were a little large too. Felt like you were throwing softballs or grapefruits.
I felt the plasma grenades were not sticking because the throw was off. Bots were throwing the nades with precision though.
I honestly think they are fine. I love how you can shoot them in the ground and spawn point though. It creates creative moments.

The plasma grenades actually quite big in the lore. If I recall correctly they weigh about 1kg and measure about 15cm in diameter, it would be similar to throwing a small honeydew melon or bag of sugar. Same with Halo frag grenades, I always thought they were far too big, but the spartan variant is a fair bit bigger than the average frag. Maybe 343i are just trying to stick to the lore where possible.
I actually loved the grenade explosion effects (although we need some sort of black crater-like stains).
However, what I didn’t like is that they are way too big.
And I’ve never been a fan of the frag grenade bright trails that appear when thrown. Like why?
I think we need to see em with more polish tbh.
