Halo Infinite will be the best Halo yet.
With the power of next gen computing and a whole new game engine (finally) this Halo already has a huge advantage over games past. The physics in Infinite should be the biggest standout making the world more immersive than ever. The Halo universe has deep and interesting lore to build on, and being set on zeta halo makes the possibility of exploration and discovery very exciting. There has been years of research for online multiplayer via the MCC and loads of community feedback to learn. The open section world that style game seems perfect for campaign and what they showed us looked fantastic gameplay and concept wise.
Drop the X1 version.
Don’t rush it. Polish, polish,polish.
For us old school Halo lovers we still have MCC. Infinite will hook the new generation and give us older fans the next and best halo ever.
What I expect:
It will be the BoTW for Halo. Maybe not the best, but an open-world, giant, fun, and task-oriented Halo. I don’t expect too many Side quests, but the way you play will hopefully be amazing. I also want a way to unlock by playing the campaign, so certain unlockables can only be earned by playing the Campaign. Plus, you should be able to earn unlock points or REQ whatevers through single-player gameplay.
That’s what I want, but I don’t know what to expect. I want to know what Multiplayer will look like because right now, I don’t know what to expect. Please add a single-system Co-op. It makes playing so much more fun.

I absolutely agree with the in campaign only unlockables. Earn it. Dont buy it. I never liked req packs. Of course purchasable fun items or skins are fine, but there should be those items that you have to earn so when players see it they know you earned it.
4 player split screen would be great. Lots of great memories with family and friends there.
I doubt it will be the best Halo. I do believe it will be better than Halo 4 and Halo 5 at the very least.
LOL, is OP applying for a marketing rep job at 343i next week?
Us older schoolers don’t want to only get MCC and nothing else, we want to enjoy the new game too you know.
Well i sure hope so. I waited 5 (now almost 6) years for this game. Id be pretty disappointed if this game didnt have substance.
I do believe that halo infinite will definitely be a much better improvement from halo 4 and 5. But being the best halo game really depends on the player’s preferences, bungies and 343 games gameplay both play pretty differently.

It won’t be anything like that. For starter, yeah, the Series X and the story have the potential to make this Halo the best one, but that isn’t guaranteed. Infact the demo prooved already that Halo Infinite is worse than Halo 3 on X360. There are screenshots highlighting how Halo 3 visuals are more dynamic than the H:I, water phisics are better in H3, plants move in H3, mean while they disappear in H:I, AI stand almost still in H:I and the story is about another random Banished brute.
There’s been plenty of research for MP, but 343 keeps screwing up at launch every single game they release, after H4, HMCC, H5, H:R on PC, H:CE on PC, H2 on PC and H3 on PC, why in the world would you ever think H:I is going to be the one they’re gonna nail? From the state of the demo, H:I looks faaar far behind the development schedule, it looks just a bit more than a concept of a game, so I’m not sure if they’re gonna have enough time to polish it enough till the end of 2021. The MP is so far behind they can’t even show it and that’s why they said they posticipate the release.
Most importantly, H:I looks like H3, new generations are never even going to consider playing H:I, heck that demo even turned off a huge amount of old fans who previously were very excited.
With the complete lack of innovation and a worst version of a 2006 game (Halo 3), I’d say H:I is the best candidate to become the worst Halo game.
From what they’ve shown, it may not even be the best Halo title 343 has made thus far. That said, I am optimistic and will wait for the multiplayer reveal.
Will prob be the best 343 Halo game. Idk about best overall I guess we’ll see first how the campaign goes as well as the free multiplayer. So far Halo Wars 2 is the best of the new gen titles. I like the Banished a lot.
Do old school basketball fans stop watching new basketball games because they have tapes of the old game? No.
So don’t think old school halo fans want to play the old games.
We want GOOD & NEW games too. Not UNNECESSARILY CHANGED games.
I think it’s wayyyyy too soon to say it will be the best Halo aside from the fact that such a title is inherently subjective. It could be delayed to 2022, have the Xbox one edition dropped or not- that just goes to show how uncertain the state of the game is right now. We’re way out from calling it the best or even good yet.

Yeah, but they still watch basketball. They again just want a player of his caliber to watch again. All I’m saying is people can’t keep saying you have this game that came out in 2007 so you should be satisfied.
Especially when the people who like 343s games say things like OP just did. Cause he pretty much said this is the best halo ever. Never played it. Its months to more than likely a year from being finished. If not 2 years from being finished. AANNDD the only gameplay shown after all these years looked like plastic and ran poorly on next gen hardware. If he’s going to like the game regardless it might as well be a classic game because clearly 343 fanboys don’t care what the game 343 puts out is.

No, it is exactly the last part that almost kill the Halo franchise. There is no “The old fans have the old games”, “Let them go grab the new gen”. Just stop with that mentality, Halo is Halo, it is not a one time only game, it had 4 main games before 343i take over and did… well we all know. This doesnt mean that the Halo fan base (that “Old” fans is wrong, the “new” fans are playing warzone and they are not gonna change a CoD with a fast ttk and overpowered guns in their load outs for Halo) want Halo 3 all over again. As i have said it many times: 343 should evolve Halo with the fans (the ones that are gonna buy the game and play it for years) in mind. If they try again to be something that Halo it is not, they may fail again as they did with Halo 4, the CoD wanna be.
If the game is good, if the game have its own appeal or “identity” (many people use this word wrong) then they can succed, but they need to try to be Halo. Just look at how much time it took them to accept that their art style wasnt “Halo”. And they only did it because Halo Wars 2 did and we love it (sad if you look at it, we just wanted something that looks and sound like Halo)

Apples and oranges. I absolutely want to play the bn older games over the new ones. They are better. I wish they would remaster all of Halo 2 mp maps and add new ones. Best shooter to ever touch xbox live

The rumors of Infinite releasing in 2022 and Xbox One being dropped have been proven false by Unyshek

The entire industry has progressed so much its almost impossible to not be better. Nostalgia is strong though. Halo ce came out on my 18th birthday and spent the next 14 years playing halo. Sometimes up to 18 hours a day online grinding. But all the pieces are in place and hopefully this younger generation will feel about Infinite the way the older generation felt back then.
no

along with everyone else. But so many people talk about how great the old halos are… well they are still there. By the way I used to hear people screaming f*** Bungie every match back in the day. Infinite will be a far superior game but the nostalgia of being blown away by the early halos is almost impossible to repeat at this point. Infinite will be Halo evolved.
