As someone that considers Halo 5 to be vile heresy:
I simply do not recall it being broken at launch. I recall not liking it, I recall it being feature incomplete, but I don’t recall persistent crashing issues, or network issues akin to MCC or Infinite.
If we’re talking about “does it work?”, then 5 was objectively more functional than Infinite it it’s initial 3 months.
Please don’t forget that Halo Infinite is one game and took 6 years to make. Irrespective on what happened in those 6 years… they had 6 years to make this game and it launched with less content than Halo 3 which came out in 2007. Make excuses all you want but this game is embarrassing.
5 had the same number of maps and didn’t have btb or ranked modes. Most of 5’s maps are just reskins if each other or forged variants of prior halo maps
Infinite has one of the best, most balanced weapon sandboxes in halo history. Nothing is overpowered and only a couple of weapons need changing at all to catch up to the rest.
The alternative versions of the same weapons are not a good addition to the games, and for what it’s worth Infinite has them as well. The boss weapons are mostly broken in campaign and would be in matchmaking, but so were the ones in 5
On top of that, Halo 5 also had co-op campaign available at launch with 8 different playable characters! Halo (In)finite doesn’t even have that, and I wouldn’t even get my hopes up for it being added anyway.
the boss weapons are in halo infinite, what are you having trouble understanding? The named iterations of the halo 5 weapons and the halo infinite boss weapons are the same thing
this is not only untrue, Warzone really shouldn’t count in this discussion as we’re talking about actual multiplayer. Warzone was a weird side game mode that they put in place so people would spend a fortune on req packs.
no it did not, it was a big deal that 5’s split screen was taken away for the first time in a Halo title.
this is untrue as bosses in h5 warzone didn’t have unique weapons
it was a multiplayer mode therefore the maps count, you can’t have your cake and eat it too, so dont cherry pick the facts.
i mainly played warzone/ warzone assault for the first year and a half of H5 and never spent a dime on it
no it didn’t have split screen, but it did have a 4 player co-op though it was over XBL, Inf dosen’t even have that. once again you are cherry picking.
