Even though the game might be god awful, the art style of Infinite Warfare just screamed Halo to me. The gritty Reach-vibe combined with militaristic design of the soldiers and ships (which were almost exact copies of Bungie’s frigates) really made it seem like it actually could be a Halo game. Halo now is just too much (uninspiring) fantasy instead of the excellent balance between gritty sci-fi and fantasy that it used to have.
It’s kind of embarrassing to know that the currently most hated game has something that 343 can learn from… They could actually use some of those art-designers at Infinity Ward.
CoD IW doesn’t really look like Halo to me.
It does look like a bad game though, but that CoD 4 though… Ill be seeing you soon (:
OMG 343, will you please just put some more dirt on the armor already so we can stop with all this “grit” business all the time? Just put some dirt and grit on there because obviously in the military cleanliness is frowned upon. You’re ruining Halo because someone decided to take a sponge to their Mark V.

Thanks for the good laugh, but seriously I never saw halo ever that gritty, it was just straight up scifi alien genocide no grit, grit was in reach maybe at most but honestly that took out a halo feel to it it felt more like 50 shades of brown.

Was just about to point this out. To many, Reach wasn’t Halo because it lacked the bright and diverse color spectrum present in Halo: CE.
Don’t know how many need this point reiterated: Halo means many things to many people, and those things often stand in contradiction to each other among the population. OP, your post proves exactly that point.
But I has sprint and that would piss off the minority no sprint folks.
IT looks like Halo because COD copies something from other games every year, This year’s COD will be no different and will be undoubtedly worse that the last game. Probably worse than ghosts. It will be generic crap with a campaign you will wish you had not wasted your time with.

You’re crazy… looked like Space CoD to me. I don’t understand all of these Halo comparisons.
I liked the original trilogy the best. The colors were very bright and the environments looked amazing. Halo 5 is on the right track. I have a feeling that halo 6 will be the best halo

Reach looked like Halo and it was a good Halo game.
Why should our armor look dirty? We have an armor bay that constantly waxes our armor and repairs it.
I’m pretty sure Reach is the only Halo i would describe as “gritty”
Im kinda tired of people comparing to Reach as their baseline for what Halo is supposed to be like. There were what? three halo games before that?
Actually, its really just a problem with lighting. Often times your armor just glows but if your in a dark spot then at least some of the armor looks scratched up, the Reach armor for sure.
I think making the under suits black would fix most of the problem with looks.
