INFINITE TECH PREVIEW – Vehicles: Slayer v BTB

So assuming most of us have played through Week 1 of this month’s flight there’s something I wanted to bring up that I’m sure many others have, The Vehicles. Now as of writing this topic its the Sunday before Big Team Battle goes live on the Infinite Flight and while one of the maps this week did have SOME vehicles (Mongoose, Warthog, Ghost) it just so happen to also be my favorite map as of the time of writing this topic on the forums. There are a few things I noticed and decided to bring up a week before BTB comes out, while the warthog felt surprisingly balanced for being in a 4v4 slayer match since slowing down or stopping made anyone in the Hog an fairly easy target if they didn’t get out. The Mongoose was fun to NASCAR around the map and drive by enemy Spartans but sometimes just spun out of control, though this might have been due to lag. Now the ghost, the ghost felt over tuned… I am not saying that if a Spartan got the ghost they would become unkillable but for slayer the ghost just felt like the best vehicle since trying to hit the enemy Spartan in the ghost wasn’t easy with the ghost’s speed and the frame of the ghost made it difficult but the grapple shot, repulsor, shock grenades, skewer, and commando rifle did make dealing with the ghost forgiving.
Now this is were the main part of this topic really starts as I did feel like the vehicles might have been a little over tuned for 4v4 slayer in their current starts, however when BTB does come around this next weekend that is where I think I could get a better grasp on whether or not the vehicles are over tuned in Infinite’s multiplayer or if dealing with 3 Spartan’s in a military grade motor vehicle with a rotating machine gun mounted on it is while you are on your own is the reason the vehicles felt strong. Again I don’t want to make my stance on Infinite’s vehicles concreate yet since I really only got to play on the map that had them 2 times but as of right now I do feel like the vehicles and the ways/tools we have to deal with them are there for us to use with the role of these Anti-vehicle weapons and tools being there when there are vehicles available on the map. I will do a follow up on this once I do get to play BTB this next weekend and will continue my thoughts on this topic when I get the chance to afterwards, if you happen to have an opinion, voice it so that I can see it and more importantly so that the devs can get some feedback.
