I ran out of characters on my original post, lol. More things I wanted to add was:

Matchmaking:
The silent matchmaking is inconvenient in today’s way of life. In a world where everybody is checking their phone or looking at something when there’s a loading screen, not having the iconic Halo “beeps” when a match is starting, has caught me by surprise more than once. This is a more prominent problem if you’re backfilled into a match that’s on going as you don’t even get the “Team Slaaayer” announcer bark with the music playing. You’re just loaded into silence until you hear the gun fire or you happen to look up.

The beeping from previous games when a match is found and is starting is pretty essential as it benefits nobody having it cut.

Challenges:
The battle pass progression and challenge completion being silent makes for a rather non-exciting experience. I’m not saying it needs to be loud and bombastic like Call of Duty and TitanFall 2 but there should be some sound effects for the animations to give players a primal sensory response to when progression is made. Even the MCC “thunk!” sound when a challenge is completed would be good enough.

Navigating the menu feels horrible.
Why do I have to wait 3 seconds between starting matchmaking and doing anything else? Why is there no direct path from matchmaking to customization? Alot of buttons feel unintuitive and awkward.

For PC:
In the Text chat area, a circle icon just keeps circling after every match. SKIP to :43 in UI FEEDBACK VIDEO

Setting my push to talk button to CAPS LOCK crashes the game, lol.

Have had a few instances where the battle pass is empty. I can see the boxes for the 20 tiers but there’s no pictures of actual items in them.

In the daily store bundle for the Enigma helmet and attachment, the attachment for the Enigma is rendered on the Cavallino helmet instead.

Similarly, When previewing the battlepass cosmetics, the coatings, visors, etc. Are all also rendered on a basic Cavallino Spartan, making it difficult to judge how a skin will look on your preferred armor variants, And occasionally, the screen may remain black without displaying anything when navigating cosmetics.

As a follow up to that, 3 of the 5 chest pieces look to be exactly the same with no change whatsoever, possibly a rendering issue as well?

  • No way to mute from the scoreboard - Several settings don’t seem to work. Battle chatter and screenshake options don’t seem to work. - In battlepass and armor customization menus having to press “X” to equip things instead of “A” was not intuitive for me. More clearly labeling things that are locked would also help. - I would love an option to not have player outlines and force friendly and enemy team colors. I find it really hard to spot enemies that don’t have shields and it is harder for me to even tell friend from foe just off of outlines. Shield pops are clear with the flash of outline color over the enemy but there’s no indicator I can see for the enemy being shieldless or mid-recharging. I know you’re trying to sell armor coatings but this is making the game harder to play.

For PC.
If you adjust the horizontal HUD offset (didn’t have time to test vertical offset) the crosshairs disappear.

Setting p2t to ANYTHING crashes the game

Customisation menu is mostly fine. Spartan rotation would be handy, as would the ability to customise your spartan while matchmaking. Have seen issues with the rendering of items on the character model, specifically when attempting to view some items which have yet to be unlocked it fails to appear on the character.

Battlepass is easy to navigate through and easy to read what each item is. Having to unlock both shoulder pads is a little much, would love to see them bundled instead of being separate unlocks though I could see that maybe some sets have different left and right shoulders.

Store is nice and simple, you get a clear idea of what each item is before clicking on it and I have no problems navigating it.

Challenges all seem good - some are game mode specific but all seem easy enough to accomplish, with the capstone challenge requiring a longer time. But most weekly seem doable in a few games if you focus them. Increasing the kills from 5 to 10 for loadout weapons like the assault rifle may help, but keeping it low for map pick ups feels really nice. Not having to rush a map pick up each time you spawn and stress over getting a kill with it is really nice. I would like if challenges could be tracked or tagged to be tracked in the scoreboard when in game. I lost count during my assault rifle kill challenge (I apparently cannot count to 5) and would’ve liked to see in game that I did it. A pop up isn’t needed, just letting my open my scoreboard to see its finished would be nice.

I receive a daily battle pass challenge that requires 6 pvp matches played. If this is the case there is no way I’ll reach battle pass 20 with all my weekly challenges already completed.

Battle pass system doesn’t count XP sometimes and also doesn’t add double XP l, when enabled. And every game should give us the XP for battle pass depending on our performance so we have a consistent growth on battle pass with match XP, daily challenges, weekly challenges. And when we unlock something it should appear very first on respectively category of customisation. And also 2*XP should be on matchmaking area so we activate it directly from there.

  • Please add intro moves and champion moves as a category so we can show our own unique way of introducing ourselves during the matches.
    *And you can add these on battlepasses and bundles. Trust me lot of people are gonna buy this :slight_smile:

I don’t think challenges should be the only way to progress the battle pass, we should be rewarded for completing games, winning games, rare medals, top 3 in the entire match (not just of your team), etc. If this is already planned and it’s not happening because its bot play, great! If not I think this should be taken into consideration,
If the idea of MP is you can just jump in and play with your friends at any time, having to focus on completing challenges is not fun, what if you run out? what if you don’t want to play a certain game type? what if you don’t like a certain gun and/or are dying because you are using it in situations where it’s not the right tool for the job? Yes, there seems to be a swap system, but if those are in the BP then how do you get them if the point is to swap them so you can get BP progress?

UI in game needs to be bigger for kill/score or moved to top left of screen as well as the UI for Ammo and Nades needs to be bigger as well and have an option to turn off the red outline around the bots/players

When viewing the battle pass rewards on an ultrawide monitor (PC), the placements of the rewards are too far up on the screen (spartan helmets heads’ are cut off). Also, for PC, I had trouble equipping recently acquired armor coatings with mouse and keyboard. For controller, it is working fine.

See challenge completion like MCC would be a good addition, unless challenges are not fully completed until the match completes in order to encourage match completion and avoid quitting.

Maybe a compromise where completion is tracked, but only awarded when the match is completed.

Not a fan of the side-scrolling UI, once there are more cosmetics in the game, it will get too clustered and claustrophobic. I really think it should be smaller and vertical. Also getting to the battlepass was a bit confusing at first, there should be a specific tab at the top for the battlepass.

UI issues with the Armory weapon drills; completing the first stage of the drill will award the 3 stars like normal but once you complete the 2nd weapon drill it just shows a high score and no stars for completion.

I’d like to be able to rotate my character when viewing things like the Prostheses
