In the battlepass rewards, some icons don’t show? Not sure if this is on purpose, but it feels broken and confusing, and I dont like it.
The ability to crouch in this Halo seems rather pointless given the Radar ping disappears now when you aren’t sprinting. I think it should be oldschool where crouching hides your radar ping. Crouch will almost never be used now.
On Xbox Series X with controller. I noticed that sprint and zoom level are bound to the same button (left stick click on controller). When I tried to rebind zoom level to a different button, it wouldn’t let me rebind it without unbinding another action. This makes it so there’s no way to rebind change zoom level without unbinding another action and leaving too many actions for the number of buttons available. Even if I try to rebind it to the the same button as sprint again, it makes me unbind sprint. By default, sprint and zoom level are bound to the same button so we should be able to do the same when making a custom layout (ideally while still being able to bind them separately without unbinding another action if we want).
We don’t want the spoken language on Xbox to be dependent on the game console.
This one is being played in Japanese, but the audio is not recorded, so it is being played in silence!
OK… THIS is a growing list.
Here you go… for now
UI Feedback (Battle Pass, Challenges, and Store): WaypointXBSX | Steam
-
Pelican on main menu, flickers into existence, graphics looks glitch but appears in a few seconds.
-
Prostheses switching to anything other than " None " seems glitched, changing from one type to another
dosent change visually on the Spartan model. Changin any back to " None " works fine.
Also some the drop- down menu list for protheses types overlap, acts transparent, showing the lower text of
" Select a prothesis for your Spartan’s insert limb through the drop- down protheses list
I suggest having the lists appear to the right, between the main choice for each limb and the Spartan model,
while also scale the drop down list to be a bit smaller. -
Change the " Rare " color coding from Blue to Green. Just to set Halo Infinite apart from other games near identical
color coding for content. Also make the magenta ( purple-pink ) to a more clear and deeper Purple. Make Legendary more Orange aswell.
Again a small thing but a thing that can break the mold and be more different from other service based games, rpg etc. -
The screen itself started flickering after entering the menu and existing to change controls etc,
in my first weapon drill, for the Needler to be precise.
Its intervals of flickering is a bit random. Started to happen outside the Weapon drill too. -
The weapon model acted jagged, stuttering in its animation while moving after I picked up the Needler in Weapon Drill
and hit the menu for then to restart the drill. Goes for ALL weapon models as far as I can see. -
Love that you can turn down to OFF regarding hitmarker sounds. Keep that!
-
With the weapon offsets, it maked me think.
Could you later on make us LEFT handers make max use of the Southpaw controls by having weapon models and animations
For both First person and Third person animations? Mirroring and nonmirror details on say weapons etc could be a solution
Around 12- 20 % of worlds population are left handed. And alot are located in the " western " world.
And quite alot are located in either billion parts of the world aswell. Not least, alot of them are gamers
regarding those factors. All this talk about inclusion, yet rarily does any dev seems to give us Lefties any attention. -
I love the horde of options you do have in settings, the more the better.
I LOVE that you can set the colors of your enemies, friendlies, fireteam as you please!
The outlines are a NON issue, but would be nice to have Outlines intensity to even none at all.
And at the same time add symbol shapes and color choices to appear OVER players heads, shown in our HUD.
Besides or in combination with Gamertag/ Service Tag.
So you can have both Outlines and Markers if you want or none at all if you so please and want MINIMAL clutter.
-Love that you can turn off Hitmarker sounds!
-
After a quite along session of Weapon drilling at the Academy. When I get back to main screen and enter the Shop.
Several of the purchaseable showcase screen in the center and at the right side of screen are NOT showing a preview
of what you can buy. The left hand side with " Champion Series Store " and Seson pass, " View Battle Pass " are just fine. -
Love that your Friendly color choice decides the color of your energy shielding! Keep it! Or maybe add options like classic etc.
-
Some Battlepass items dosent show up inside their squares for each numbered tier.
-
The Epic Chest: UA/ Relikt Cuirass have NO noticable differences from the standard/ basic UTIL/ Enav Beacon.
Possibly not UI related but after completing the weekly challenges there seems to be no way to earn xp, getting some for actually completing games would feel much better.

What I propose is a compromise. I think the mid-game scoreboard displaying deaths is perfectly acceptable in ranked play, but in social it should be removed or at least only display your own deaths to you.

Yeah I did. I guess that comes down to preference. If you can see your teammates K/D you can see if someone is having a particularly hard time and try to help them out
- lowered crosshair option needed
- hitmatkers not toggleable
I don’t know if it is intentional or not but I feel like the drop shields should activate sooner after you throw them down. Most often I see them come up too late for myself as well as the bots lol

That is correct, I apologize for my tone and misunderstand your perspective. I think that is a great position to take, and hope that people do not use a player’s deaths as a way to harass them in-game if they are having a bad game, as many of them will be very new to Halo.
Am I mistaken here, or does the “Advanced Battle Pass” level up option in the consumables menu mean people can buy their progress through the battle pass? Are you kidding me? Pay to win?
The menu navigation needs a lot of work.
I don’t want to sound ungrateful, because I love everything else so far, but the UI is quite annoying to scroll through.
I hate how little options it shows at once. If there is a list of a few dozen items, please show more than ten items at a time. I do not want to scroll through dozens of coatings or armor pieces to find what I am looking for. I just want to scan a list of a sizeable amount of options with my eyes. The scrolling makes it incredibly tedious to find what I am looking for. The preview images can be smaller (at least on PC) or removed entirely. I do not like when I am selecting an armor slot to customize, I need to scroll to see all of the options. I do not think this was ever the case before including in 343’s games.
Also, I HATE horizontal scrolling. I hated it in Halo 4, I hate it in MCC and I hate it here too. Please stop it with this. PLEASE. (Sorry for being blunt) Typically, I do not think about the UI in games, but horizontal scrolling is the biggest exception.
Some solutions:
1.) Instead of having incredibly large icons to represent each armor slot lining across the bottom of the screen, have the slots in a simple vertical list to the left of the Spartan appear like so:
- Kit - Helmet | Attachment - Visor - Coating - Chest - Left Shoulder - Right Shoulder - Forearm - Writs - Thigh - KneesHaving to scroll to get to the last few options is too annoying. Having icons for the helmet and visor is also confusing at first glance, because they both look very simular.
2.) When a slot is selected, having icons to represent each armor piece makes more sense here. However, they are still too big and there is too much scrolling. So it would be best if it was also a vertical list to the left of the screen adjacent to the Spartan model with smaller icons and maybe 2 or 3 columns of options. Similar to Halo 5’s menu, but vertical. If there are going to be hundreds of coatings, this is a necessity, even if there is a filter.
3.) I do not see why, when I select a armor piece, it brings me to a sub menu that gives me lore about it. I do not mind the existence of lore, but if I click on an armor piece, it should be equipped right then and there. The lore can be put on a the selection menu. If it really needs to be it’s own sub menu because of features we have not seen yet, then I would at least like a separate button prompt to open it. Also, why do I need to press “F” to equip the item? Why can’t I just click it? Clicking it does nothing. That should equip it.
4.) I hate having to rapidly clicking to scroll through all the weapons and vehicles in the customization menu. Once again, simple vertical list of all options would work just fine.
5.) For selecting weapons in the academy, I am happy to see a straightforward vertical list, but the box it is in is too small. I do not see why the information about the weapon cannot be moved to the side and increase the size of the viable list.
6.) Similar to point 3, I do not know why I need to select a playlist and then select play? Why can’t I just select a playlist and start match making? Or have the “Play” button on the same menu? The map and gametype details can be a separate button prompt.
7.) Like with Halo 5, I think it is unintuitive to have the fireteam/lobby section be a separate menu. It should be on all menus at all times. I would also like to see the players come in like previous games.
I have a lot more complaints, such as the seeming inability to go directly from one player to the other when browsing post-game metals, but I want to leave it at that for now.
I really do like the game, but my goodness, there is just no reason to need to reinvent the wheel. There is way more clicking in and out of menus and way more scrolling than there needs to be.
I changed the horizontal sensitivity setting to 7.0, then went to change it again and the number said 0.0 no matter where I moved the slider. Closed screen and reopened, and it was fine. Thx
VoiceChat settings does not work as intended.
when attempting to change key bind for push to talk the game crashes.
“caps locked” , “home” & “number 7” were used as examples.
I repeated this process to ensure this was not a fluke.
When searching for a game, if you go idle it will return you to main menu.
When buying weapon skin on the store and trying to put them on at that time, it will not mark that you have equiped it yet, although you have done it.

At first, I found the UI for the customization to be quite confusing, especially when I wanted to equip a new shader or armor permutation. As it stands, I have to Inspect the item before pressing F to equip it.
Personally, I would prefer being able to equip the item just as I view it from the selection as I feel that would be more efficient.
In regards to the customization menu, I would also would prefer scrolling down vertically instead of horizontally, I feel there would be more space to show more customization options and I’d be able to see my Spartan in full view (akin to the menus of Halo Reach).
<ul class=“ul1”> - Prosthetics (Arms) ~ Once chosen one of the 3 options, cannot see the other selections on model Spartan unless choosing none again first. Should be able to freely see the updated model with each toggle. - AI Model ~ Cannot equip other AI besides BUTLR (default) can equip another AI, however resets to BUTLR when backing out of each AI Lore menu. - AI Color ~ same as above except color always defaults back to green.[/list]
I am sure this is just a tech preview build thing/already mentioned, but: every time you search for a game and access the battle pass (pressing the “Y” button on Xbox Series X), it kicks you from the queue.
— After buying a battle pass boost, all battle pass item icons disappeared.
At 1080p resolution it can be difficult to read the UI elements associated with equipment and grenades in game. The blue/white text can be a bit hard to discern. I’d recommend maybe adding a black border to things like text the grenade/equipment count or increasing it’s default size on 1080p screens.
Really enjoying the beta! Great work!
