Progression on battlepass was limited to challenges. Whis is unfortunate. Every game should give us xp for battle pass.
when we unlock something than it should appear 1st in there respectively customisation category or you can put some mark to identify whis one is recently unlocked.
please add …weapon skins not just different colours, intro and outro Moves, catwomen kind of armour with tale something like that kind of crossover will boost the sale.
*UI
It’s wonderful, Amazing. overall UI of multiplayer is awesome. It’s so new just wonderful job don’t change anything just improve upon please.
Please allow to customise the character during the matchmaking screem time. For quick changes.
I didn’t had many issues with the UI, but I had some weird stuff happening there (On Xbox One S)
Sometimes when change screen too quickly, the last section visited gets stuck and becomes the main menu’s background (EX: Getting the Battle Pass page as the Menu Background) - The Weapon Drills lacked a menu background at all. Only when you finished the drill and wants to test another (but not quitting), that background appears, but when you are navigating through it, it flashes constantly - I don’t know if this falls here, but sometimes the armors lose graphic quality when get close (ex: choosing a helmet or a chest) - The game doesn’t explain how to change grenade types in-game - Sometimes, pictures on the menu gets missing, especially on the multiplayer screen - The “Menu/Customization/Store” options aren’t too visible in the Menu screen
I think the user interface is fine, but the main menu, settings and all of that is somewhat confusing. At times it was very difficult for me to find what I needed, I think there is a lack of clarity when it comes to pointing out what each thing is. I also think it would be an excellent addition to be able to rotate your spartan in the customization section. Halo 5 I think it does excellently well in that regard.
Battlepass: Its a little difficult to progress, challenges are good enough for the flight but not good enough for the real thing. In MCC its also really difficult to progress, but at least its rewarding every game, because all the medals you earn are use to Level up. So it would be smoother if there were more ways to earn xp, the medals are one of the best ways to do it. Also, maybe an xp multiplier for playing with friends.
Store: Quite generic but I had no trouble going there.
Customization: I think its a bit clunky, sometimes it takes time to show what you are trying to see, and seeing that while waiting for a game its complicated (from all the jumpin menu to menu) and buggy, most of the times it takes you off the next match or you cant even play and need to reestart.
Extras
-there is no way to silence other players
the screen where you see all the medals you won feels uninteresting
Listen, the battle pass system is the best , but for those who bought campaign, we should be able to get those points to a fair amount instead of paying necessarily always for the battlepass or points in general , like the xbox controller app , we should be able to make our own armor coatings
Please don’t have challenges as the only way to gain progress for the Battlepass. It would be wonderful to have a combination of challenges and XP like in MCC.
They should give free credits in the battle pass, games like fortnite or warzone give you credits in the battle pass, this for people who do not like to invest. Please add that free credits option
I don’t like the horizontal menus. With the proposed ongoing support of the game as a live service, having menus that will not be cluttered will be important.
My main issue with progression is that we can only progress through challenges. Only progressing through the battle pass by doing challenges is a big mistake as it essentially limits how much you can progress through it in one day. You should be able to get XP by completing matches, getting kills and rarer medals, it will keep me and many others hooked on the game if there isn’t a softlock on how much you can level up in one day or week.
Esp que agreguen desafíos donde motiven al jugador a jugar la campaña aún después de terminarla
También podrian agregar desafíos que el jugador pueda escoger que sean más complicados de conseguir en un límite de tiempo y por una recompensa mayor
Hi, first of all, love your game, you absolutely nailed it.
But there’s some things that’s been giving me an eternal itchy feeling:
The HUD positioning: I feel that the decision in putting everything in the lower side of the screen is off, it was better when the nades were on the top left side, weapons on the right and the radar on the bottom left, you knew where to look for each of them.
crosshair: I think we should have a customization option for it, like center or lowered, size and color, I do not like it being that small and in the middle of the screen.
The new UI system: it looks kinda off for me, there’s too much lights and not enough information, why having hitmarkers if the shields already gives that info? And changing the UI colors being the same as the shields is also not good imo, having the classic blue or yellow shields confuses me because the crosshair also turns blue, I could get used to it but it looks ugly.
There’s some small details that can be fixed with customization options just more options for us to be comfortable with our own style; for example: I would love to have a yellow UI, enemies on blue shields but having the crosshair red when pointing at them. and friends with blue shields with the same concept but turn my crosshair green. also separate colors from outlines and shields.
honestly I don’t get the decision of changing shields colors.
Thanks for everything, this game looks really great!
Thank you for the flight! The experience was overall very encouraging.
One thing that really stood out to me was that controller vibration when using the plasma pistol is too low, both in the single shot and charge up modes. If you compare the infinite plasma pistol controller vibration to the plasma pistol vibration from other halo games such as halo reach the other plasma pistols feel more immersive and responsive to use due to the increased vibration
I didn’t notice any issues with vibration for the other weapons in the infinite tech preview. It was only when using the plasma pistol when the vibration being too low on controller stood out to me. It felt unresponsive to use and I hope this is something the team can take a look at for controller users.
While increasing the controller vibration for the plasma pistol to match that of other Halo titles would be great, a setting to customize controller vibration in the UI for each weapon could be really useful as an accessibility feature.
Other feedback areas:
Please add lowered crosshair support. Lowered crosshair was in all Halo games from Halo CE to Halo 4 (Halo CE had lowered crosshair support added by 343 in MCC). In Halo 5 it was changed to the center of the screen which made the aiming feel very different and harder on controller/console compared to other Halo games. Halo Infinite has the same issue. Lowered crosshair support would help infinite feel more connected to the other halo games in MCC. Making Infinite feel at home to Halo players is one of 343’s stated design goals as mentioned in the Inside Infinite’s when approaching the large amount of settings options the player has. For example the 4:3 aspect ratio support that has been mentioned. Lowered crosshair support fits with these design objectives. Plus, if 343 added lowered crosshair support to Halo CE in MCC, they know that players want it and it would make sense to add it in Infinite as well?
Sniper feels very “heavy” to use on controller. It is very difficult to get kills with the weapon compared to other halo games. The scope on other precision weapons such as the battle riffle and commando also feel heavy but the sniper scope seems almost too difficult to use with controller
The new HUD in gameplay means if you have picked up two types of grenades, it is impossible to see the second type of grenade you have equipped without switching the grenade type using the D pad. This means that the player has less information easily available compared to other halo games which showed the different types of grenades you have equipped and how many you have.
It would be very appreciated if you could update the HUD to improve visibility on both sets of grenades you have and/or including a classic HUD option which moves HUD elements to the top left and right of the screen to mirror Halo 3’s HUD for example. Then, with the extra space, show all grenade types and how many grenades of each type the player has. With the classic HUD option you could also change the ammo counter to be bullet icons like the earlier halo games instead of the numbers for the ammo used in infinite so far
Adding the Halo 3 flame grenade into the sandbox (future DLC?) would also be a very welcome addition. It is a very fun grenade to use and is something I feel would be a great addition after seeing the spike grenade in the infinite flight
The skewer weapon doesn’t reload after killing an enemy when scoped in. Once you get kill with the skewer you are stuck in scope unable to fire. You to leave the scope for the weapon to reload. This only seems to happen with the skewer and it was confusing during the flight. In other halo games once you use all the ammo scoped in on a weapon like a sniper you will automatically descope and the weapon will reload
Remaining in the menu too long and not using mouse and keyboard/controller causes the menu music to cut out
The player AI is really good! However, all the player AI in the flight felt purposely over the top and very hyped all of the time. I hope in the final game there are player AI options which overly praise the player less and demand more in order for the player to impress them. For example a player AI like Morphius from the Matrix film series would be really good. Some example voice lines of the more relaxed AI could be “that’s pretty good” “is that all you got?” “impressive” “not bad”. Player AI’s which are less over the top would be great alongside the existing ones so the player has more choice to find an AI which suits them.
When choosing a player AI in the customization screen please let the player hear a small preview of the player AI voice first. In the flight you had to start a multiplayer match to hear what different player AI voices sounded like.
In parts of customization such as the prosthetics screen you are not fully able to rotate the player model to see how different prosthetics look. This makes it hard to see some of the prosthetic options on their right arm and right leg
The black loading screens with the three white dots in the top left corner could be improved. Something more like the the loading screens of Halo CE, 2 and 3 would look a lot better and less boring to players having to wait for matches to load. Example of the Halo 3 loading screen: - YouTube
Please add the Halo beeping sound on the match timer before entering a multiplayer game. Currently no sound plays and all the other Halo games including Halo 5 and Halo MCC have this sound. The sound is as iconic as the Halo shield charge or plasma pistol charge sound. The sound: Halo: Beeping sound - YouTube
Customizable crosshair color options to change the white crosshairs to light blue like the crosshairs in other Halo games would be a great option
Adding an option to disable hitmarkers would be appreciated
The drop wall takes too long to activate and the shield squares themselves are too weak, making the equipment currently very underpowered.
Adding more team based equipment such as the bubble shield, regeneration field and power drain would be great as currently the equipment seems to be very individual focused (such as being able to shoot through the drop wall, grappling hook) etc.
The needler sounds more like an SMG than a needler? I hope it is changed to sound more like the halo 3/reach needler. Also the plasma pistol single shots are very high pitched. It would sound better if it was deeper like the older games (CE-reach).Thanks 343 for the flight and I hope this feedback helps you improve the game to make Infinite the best Halo game it can be
I think the in game UI is great lot of weapons have visual indicators to tell you how much ammo you have in a clip such as the needier having numbered dots on the back, commando showing the rounds on the side. My only dislike is the changes to the motion tracker instead of it showing all movement unless crouch walking it only shows enemies if they are sprinting or firing a weapon. Kinda defeats the purpose of a motion tracker if it only shows sprinting and not all motion besides crouch walking.
Like many have said the transparency of the icons and UI is pretty bad, battlepass UI and how to get to certain things like challenges can be confusing. Not being able to see the scoreboard is another annoynce during the match and after (this is a transparency issue and colour clashes) Progression is also confusing I don’t know what I should be doing to level up and there is no actual level system which I’m assuming is coming later on.
My feedback:
Cons and Bugs:
-Matchmaking randomly interrupts and sends back to main menu.
-Sometimes the main menu glitches out and nothing but a gray background is seen behind the UI.
-Battle Pass only progressing with challenges is bad.
-Sometimes your character model won’t be visible and you’re not able to preview customization options.
Pros:
-Loved the Battle Pass content.
-Liked the challenges.
-UI is beautiful when working.
-Main menu music is fantastic.
-Character model presentation and customization menus are top notch.
Battle Pass: Advancing in the battle pass during the flight felt a bit empty since when you completed the challenges you could no longer continue advancing your progress of the battle pass I would like you to implement a system similar to Mcc in which Even if you finish challenges, you can continue to progress in your rank rise, which at the same time grants you a season point or another option, it could be that the battle pass can be completed through EXP as such, since the player will feel that he continues to advance although already you have finished your challenges and it can be a good synergy when combined with the exp boost tokens to advance fast during the battle pass.
Customization should be more easily accessible when looking for matches, like in halo 5 when you pressed the menu button anywhere you could access everything that wasnt game modes
