I personally do not like the store’s layout, as it seems to suggest “time” exclusive cosmetics (with the daily marker over an armor coating + helmet module) + encourage “time savers” in the form of purchasable xp boosts.
I lay out all of my thoughts in this Video, if you need some more context. Thanks

Maybe a bit unrelated but the customization in particular seems really buggy. Images not showing up, not being able to confirm choices (or the model still showing unchecked options) and more of that. New Waypoint is even worse, as it permanently doesn’t let me make and confirm customization options.
when selecting an AI butlr doesn’t have any eyes.
also when loading the game the background is untextured and loads in after a while i hope this is because there’s no 343 industries logo at the start like mcc.
when looking at the credits on the shop they don’t appear but I can buy things.
NO LOADING SCREEN
music however is fantastic please give the composer(s) a raise.
A bigger grenade and equipment bar would definitely be nice, it’s hard to notice sometimes that you have some things. And a more classic ammo counter would also be great.
Weapons (Strictly opinion based but this is what I’ve thought of each weapon I’ve used so far as of current)
Battle Rifle (BR75)
Handles great - Time to kill is good and not OP - Can be out gunned but is still very reliableMA40 Assault Rifle
Handles well both zoomed in and out - Time to kill and range are both greatMK50 Sidekick
Bullets don’t always land where they’re supposed to, reticle can be red but shots occasionally won’t land (rarely happens but when it does, it can cause you to lose the gunfight) - In close quarters combat, this weapon does greatCQS48 Bulldog
Great fast-firing 2 shot weapon - Has good range and allows you to recover if you miss a shot - Great handling with hip fire and zoomed inCommando
When scoped, moving the reticle is way too sensitive. (Even when adjusting sensitivity) - Performs better with hip fire over being scoped in - The recoil combined with the zoom makes this weapon better off with just using hip fire (no scope)Skewer
Too difficult to hit moving targets (scoped and not scoped) - It’s powerful which is good but should have a slight adjustment to how much you need to lead a shot to hit your target. (Would need to test with vehicles)Needler
Tracking is only good with shooting someone head on or in the back. - Good that it has recoil so it’s not as OP as previous Halo needlersHeatwave
Takes too many shots to kill close range. - Have to lead shots to hit enemy’s at longer ranges (same applies with this weapons second firing mode) - Reloading takes a very long timeS7 Sniper Rifle
The sight throws some players off when using this weapon - Have to lead shots even at fairly close distances. (Make this sniper closer to Halo 5’s sniper then it may be better liked and used more)Ravager
Takes 3 bursts to kill but fires slower than the pulse carbine which takes the same amount of shots to kill an enemy even though this weapon feels more powerfulPulse Carbine
Plasma carbine is good at distance but is too difficult to use at close range.
I have two pieces of feedback, one concerning the game’s menus, the other a request for the HUD:
The menu’s aesthetic looks nice, but it’s lacking in a Halo" feel. I think the biggest reason is a lack of the lighter, glowey blues and beautiful, fluid animation that gave it a “sci-fi” vibe, and in general just expertly captured the general setting of Halo, as well as each respective game (You guys did a great job with Halo 4’s UI in this regard). I understand it might be a bit late for this, but at least some tweaks to the color palette to evoke that vibe, as well as rounding out some of the more square assets, would help Halo lovers feel more at home.
Concerning the HUD, something I really, really miss from Halo 4, was the little aesthetic bits, lines and brackets and such, especially for Master Chief’s HUD, the little mini text readout fluff. It’d be wonderful to have an option to turn on this kind of stuff for your HUD in Infinite, it really adds to that “futuristic soldier in a supersuit” feel, at least for me. As I said, an option, so that people who don’t care for the clutter are able to turn it off.
Another thing I have noticed is the academy never properly tracks or records the stars I get on each challenge. I have done about half, but they all show 0 stars as my best.
I (accidentally) found a leak on the new version of waypoint that we are testing. Its on the customization page. A small picture of cortana in the fetal position sitting. Might want to remove that.
When I press the menu button while playing (or after a drill), if I press the menu button. The background flickers whenever I select a different option. This is happening on Xbox series x
I tried to change the margins for the UI display (I have UW monitor). I set them to 25 and 25 and at this point the visor disappeared…
The main menu is a bit messy imo. Possible to make something simple but clearer. There are too many things to clic everywhere like the battle pass etc…
I am ok with 3 menu on top but then settings and the battle pass could be there as well.
Physical team colors at user’s settings. Other team is always “x” color and your team is always “y” color. The outlines are nice, but cause some hesitation when first meeting another player in combat.
Lowered reticle, this has been a staple of Halo and helps quite a bit when playing split-screen co-op by opening up the top of the screen.
Customizable HUD elements: individual component color, location, opacity, etc.
Menu navigation needs multi-level cleanup, I don’t want to have to scroll forever to left/right to see the unlocks
AI Voice Preview, I don’t want to have to find out in-match what the AI voice would sound like.

Bouncing off this, one thing I was hoping would make a return was the “In the Helmet” feel; having the helmet’s physical elements on the edges of the screen.
One additional thing to give feedback on is that the HUD effect for shields recharging is much less intrusive than what we saw at E3 last year. Looks good!
It would be good to earn a little xp from matches so that your always making progress to the pass. Having challenges is a good start but having other ways to progress would make it easier and feel like your always making progress. Even 50xp a match makes it so you still need around 15 games for one rank up to balance it out.
Not a fan of getting only 100 XP and the end of challenge. There is literally no incentive to play the game after you have run out of your challenges except to just play. Challenge only XP needs go or implemented in way that challenge XP add to the overall XP.
Overall I am enjoying the game but the ui still seems a little disjointed to me. Two things I would like changes are the following:
Certain aspects of the ui seem to be locked away from eachother. For example, I would like to have the ability to customize my spartan even while waiting in the lobby. At the moment it seems the only way to use it is to go all the way back to the main menu and tab over to it.
On the customization screen, I’m sure this has been looked at but I think it would look much cleaner if the options were vertical rather than horizontal. Maybe have the options on the left and a picture on the right when it is highlighted?
In game, the medals are quite small. It would be nice to have them pop a bit more.
werid bug happend 7/31/21.
i changed my sensitivity pregame. got in game found to high. went to menu adjusted it, left the menu, scoreboard was up couldnt move… couldnt dismiss the scoreboard. bot killed me, and when respawned , was able to move and close the scoreboard.
Please add best spree as a stat on the post game carnage report. That is a stat from previous Halos I was looking for after a good match and couldn’t find it.
