Consumables should be accessed from the main screen, instead of having to go into the battle pass and then find consumables. Too many layers inside layers. UI is clunky and bulky, needs to be simpler.

> There is a lot of excess lines that fill up the screen and serve no purpose. When it comes to most UIs in all things, regardless of hobby, I tend to like minimalism. It makes the game feel more responsive, optimized, and modern. Destiny has a UI that’s much like this and I think nails it.
>
> The quickness/consistency of the UI is important as well. Having a unifying menu system somewhere while in the menu screen that is present at all levels except for the most specific innards of the selection trees is key. This allows for quick navigation to areas of the game. Nobody likes wasting a bunch of time slogging through deep menu trees to do an action, then navigating all the way back out to a main menu, then back in to whatever activity you’d like to do next.
>
> *Have the Play, Customize, Shop menu bar in the top be available at all times. The tree level it should disappear at is the socket portion of the Armor Hall/Weapons Bench/Vehicle Bay. For the Body AI menu, it should disappear when you click on an option within (eg. Prostheses, AI Model, Etc.)
>
> This saves the player from hitting multiple back buttons when going between menus and holding up that illusion of ease of access rather than deep menu diving every time you want to customize your spartan.
>
> The Season Progress button in the bottom left of the main menu is pointless and adds more clutter to the screen.
>
> *Combine the Battle Pass banner in the top right with the functionality of the Season Progress button. One dedicated way to view all season related items/progress/battle pass.
>
> *Swap the Player information tab in the bottom right (Emblem, Player Card, Friends/Party) and swap it with the Battle pass banner. Then have that player information tab look and function exactly like the fireteam banned within the multiplayer tab. Having your name and customized identifiers atop/next to your customized spartan makes sense and would flow better visually.
>
> *Add the options button as a main menu tab. (Apart of the Play, Customize, Shop) The insides of the Options Menu performs exactly like the menus inside each of the Play, Customize, and Shop tabs, good consistency there, so it should be a primary main menu tab.
>
> *The entire bottom darkened banner space should be a dedicated space to showing matchmaking/countdown/level loading/progress bars. That being said when none of those things are going on that bar should completely disappear. Less is more. I feel removing this bottom bar would actually clean up the main menu and make it feel way less cluttered.
>
> *The fine lines language you’re using with the UI design is almost there. I would say take out the “breaks/shade changes” of the lining you’ve used and make them full. An example of what I mean to better explain this is on the Plus button to add more fireteam members within the multiplayer menu page. Just make it one solid white line going around the button without any breaks. These lines are already small enough that adding excess design of similar scale appears messy. Same with the line above the Player banner/below Fireteam #/28. I probably could’ve explained this one better so I apologize in advanced.
>
> Really not a fan of it not showing your teammates/what their spartan looks like in the lobby before loading into the match. That feature should definitely be brought back.
>
> Empty space is Ok! It’s not a bad thing! Minimalism is in! I like what I’m seeing so far so keep up the hard work! <3
I agree with all of this, and add that the progress of the challenges should be underlined, not upperlined
Absolutely loved every second I’ve spent in the tech preview so far! Hope this is the kind of feedback you’re looking for:
I thought the “new unlock” feature most games have was annoying…until I didn’t have it. I didn’t know if I had something new waiting or what item it was. I can’t believe I actually wrote that sentence.
Outside of that, most of the UI seems great though there are a couple things I think will be resolved soon like what EXP looks like and is it separate from BP EXP.
Thank you again for this and I believe the future is INCREDIBLE for this game!
Add a button to mute the music on the main menu, dont get me wrong i love the music but sometimes i wanna have the infinite screen on one of my two monitors and watch youtube on the other one while the music isn’t blasting through without turning down the slider in the settings
It would be nice if the xp boosts only counted down while in a match and not when you are in the menus.

> It would be nice if the xp boosts only counted down while in a match and not when you are in the menus.
I agree. I would rather have it active for one or more matches, pretty much like in H5.
When switching they main menu tab then hitting Y for battlepass then opening the battlepass then backing to the main menu the wrong background will appear. I.E if you were on armory screen then hit battlepass then went back to main it will still show armory background while it will still let you search for matches.
I’ve managed to get into the NEW Waypoint through the website both on mobile and my laptop but I can’t download the new app. I’ve downloaded the Flight Test app but don’t know how to redeem the code to get Wapoint access on it.

Honestly how do we earn xp other than challenges? Because my xp meter has not increased in a whole day, hence finishing all the challenges. Has this just bugged for me?

Challenegs are the only way to gain XP for this flight maybe when the game launches i feel like just playing the game u can earn XP. Use ur credits to by lvls in the battle pass to progress if u want.
I personally don’t like many of the changes to the hud. It’s almost the opposite to other halos and I find myself looking around for my weapons and equipment. I also don’t like how the radar behaves. It should detect base movement in social. In competitive radar should stay as it is now or either turn it off. My biggest gripe of the UI though is definitely how the medals are displayed in-game. Display them like they always have with larger and more pronounced medals in the lower middle of the screen. I didn’t even notice that the medals were displayed in-game yet until my second game. I also don’t like the color changes to some of the medals like the perfection medal.
On Xbox Series S:
When selecting a prosthesis, more often than not the initial visual change is incorrect i.e I select left arm transhumoral, and the right leg will be the one to change. If I back out and go back in, it corrects itself and the proper prosthetic is selected. It does that for any prosthetic option, and the incorrect change could be any of the others. It seems to occur when changing your second prosthetic, so the first one will change fine but then the second or third will be incorrect. Sometimes it’s the first selection that’s wrong though.
Would like to see some changes to the way daily/weekly challenges are shown on the screen. Feel like access to them is a journey having to always go to the Battle Pass page.
Halo Infinite UI Feedback:
Overall i think the UI is one of the weaker points of the game at this point. The menu UI feels too generic and it’s hard to find things that i would like. From a gameplay perspective I really wish the UI made it more obvious what equipment i had.
Halowaypoint Beta (Web*):
My main feedback here is under the Service Record for MCC. The service record on the old waypoint site was by FAR the easiest and best way to track achievement progress in the game. With the absurd achievement count in that game it was a god send. I went through my service record for MCC on the new beta site and i could not find this information which was EXTREMELY disappointing.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE TEAMS FOR THE OUTSTANDING WORK GOING INTO A FRANCHISE THAT I LOVE. I’M VERY EXCITED FOR THIS GAME!!
The lack of XP for usual Gameplay Achievements is concerning. There should not be a challenge cap per day. This means I hit a progression wall which is a big no-no for me.
You’re shooting yourself in the foot not providing the ability to reach the end of the Battle Pass swiftly, and other edge-case achievements because those elements of the flight test will not be tested.
Some big issues here, some can be attributed to the server issues, but I think some are issues with MCC as well from time to time:
UI elements breaking, not loading, and not resolving with time when they do break.
-The maps & modes image when searching ODST slayer
-the images representing your unlocks after a match and in customization
-Your character model at times outside of matches, such as in customization
-Models in the store,
-Images in the store
honestly just anything to do with out of match models and images. Animations seem to come and go ok, other things not so much.

Update #3
Bugs
UI
-
It is possible for each of the Faction icons to not show within the Red or Blue shapes at the end of a match.Sound
-
Joining a mulitplayer match in-progress has a chance to disable some audio. The disabled audio seems to be ambient audio, movement audio such as foot steps, clambering, jumping, out of breath etc.,
Ok, over the past few days i have had time to review and get an idea of how everything in the menu looks and feels, this is my huge text dump for all of this
-lack of display options
no option for complete full screen, only borderless and windowed, my computer tends to handle games better in full screen
-Depth of Field
no option to turn depth of field completely off, i prefer to see everything with no blur
-setting confusion
-there are a LOT of settings, it can be overwhelming and you might not know what you want to turn on or off, and when settings say things like “toggle Async Compute” i had to look up what that meant, along with Parallax, Chromatic aberration, and CAS sharpening, the only description it has is “Set Contrast adaptive sharpening level”, for settings it would be nice (if like other games) it had a preview of what low quality vs ultra quality was like, there’s a lot of empty space in the settings menu that could be used for things like this, whether its just a picture or a gif, it will allow for people to adjust things better
-Vram
-no Vram usage bar, this one is a nitpick, but i enjoy knowing what my vram usage is like so i can see what kind of load I’m putting on my graphics card, along with an in-game temperature for the GPU (though this is just a personal one, i like to see what kind of load I’m putting on my gpu)
-UI size and customization
I feel with the ability to customize team colors we should have the ability to change our UI color as well, along with its size and placement, it feels a bit out of the way and i find myself out of ammo before i realize it, the UI has changed to feel more like apex legends, or CoD, or even Overwatch, if you only change one thing, put the ammo counter back in the top right and add back the bullets
-armor hall
the way the menu is set up for the armor hall is rather bad in my opinion, the horizontal menu makes it so you have to scroll, ALL the way through the coatings to get the one you want to look at, not to mention the 11 different things that CAN be changed don’t even fit on the one screen, this makes the customization tool itself feel like an unlock system and a hassle to navigate, what could be done instead, is have a full body preview of the spartan on the right half of the screen, and on the left having everything listed out vertically in text only, helmet, visor, chest, coating etc. in whatever order you want, from what i can gather it lets you work your way down your spartan, for the actual items, this is what i suggest, a 4 by column and row system, with the icons being a bit smaller to allow more on the screen, the only issue i run into here is how to categorize the coatings, however, you already have a rarity system so what i would recommend is sorting by name/primary color, cadet red next to recruit red, or just going by whatever system the default is, as i cant really seems to identify it, this will allow people to scroll through the coatings faster along with allowing people to see their entire spartan and how the coatings changes and affect all of their armor at once, i ran into issues where hovering over the coating the legs were blocked by the menu, if you wish to only show a 4 by 4 column and row system you can have underneath it show the lore, and details this way you can have the armor coating preview, and wont have to do an awkward, click the coating, and then click the little tiny check box, and this can be said for all customization, this feels horrible to navigate through and feels like I’m supposed to play on the controller and not at all native to keyboard and mouse (more on this later), when it comes to items with attachments, it should bring up a pop-up menu underneath/above (depending on where it is on the list) to show off all attachments that scroll left or right, i suggest the horizontal menu here because there’s usually only a few different attachments for each helmet
-weapons bench and vehicle bay
I’m not able to provide as much feed back as above as there are only two things we can change about vehicles, coatings and kits. However, i would say coatings should function the same as above. When it comes to the buttons to change between what vehicle and weapons are being looked at, i believe the arrows should be bigger, while A and D can be used to quickly navigate between them, most people will be looking for something to click, and the arrow box is extremely small
-shop menu
when looking at bundles the shop menu suffers from a similar issue as mentioned in the armor hall, when you click on an item it brings you to a separate menu that shows the lore, leading to the requirement of using A and D to scroll between the items in the menu as if the game was built specifically for controller and the keyboard and mouse have been slapped in as input emulators, there’s no reason i should be able to either hover my mouse over each of the coatings to see what the 3 items look like, or click on them individually and stay at the initial bundle area to see what item it is and how the coating looks
-better controller support through menu’s
it seems as if the menu was specifically designed around the controller and as stated above it feels like the keyboard and mouse are just and input emulator rather than their own settings, the functionality of the menu’s for Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC are perfect, there’s no reason why the way the menu functions there can not be said for halo infinite, when on keyboard and mouse i recommend get rid of white menu highlight, the boarder is fine, but if you’re not keyboard and mouse, i tend to see it as a header instead of a setting, leading me to having trouble finding the settings menu, when clicking on on it should flash white to let you know what you selected, but should not stay highlighted white, and variety should be added to the menu’s, the control panel looks too similar to the customization menu everything is very basic, this leads me to pressing esc a few times to try and get back to the play menu before realizing “oh, I’m just bringing up the control panel and need to click here”
This last bit it just a bunch of Quality of life changes that i think would be better
Quality of Life
-customize idling
the fade to black and cut to next scene for the customization when just idle in the customize menu seems rather strange to watch, i personally would prefer a fade out fade in, instead of fade out cut in
-basic menu
the menu seems rather basic with black and white, this isn’t so much an objective technical fact as it is a visual preference, it should feel more halo-y, maybe throw in some blue? orange? something to help make it seem less out-sourced
-fade outs
there are so many fade out’s and fade in’s in the menu it seems like a plague, I’m unsure if this is by design or not, while i can understand, ok, lets fade from the shop scene to the weapons bench to show off the colors, however, it shouldn’t need to fade out and back in between the different weapons in the shop that are under the same bundle, as it doesn’t do this when looking at them in the weapons bench, and the same can be said for armor pieces when looking at the bundle for enigma helmet and attachment, there is no reason for it to fade out from the helmet, to fade in and show the same helmet with the attachment as it doesn’t do this in the armor hall, again, I’m unsure if this is is by design or not, but removing the amount of fading would make it just a bit less annoying to look at

Truth be told I’d be okay with this as long as there are more rewarding challenges, and if there’s a different ranking system that tracks your overall level like most other games have.
My guess is that it’s planned but not in this flight.
