INFINITE TECH PREVIEW – UI FEEDBACK Mouse and Keyboard Zoom categories, please add descriptions to (1x 5x 10x and so on,) provide lists of weapons that have those zoom levels because some weapons don’t actually provide/tell you the level of zoom that your using so you kind of need to guess when adjusting.
It’s preferred to have grenade count indicators and ammo counters in top left and right hand corners of the HUD. The readability is low with all that info bunched up in the bottom corner.
For the waypoint app beta, I chose the blue team emblem, but it always comes up as the flaming coffee mug instead on the actual beta. This is the only emblem with that problem. Anyone else have a similar issue?
You guys have the halo 5 customization menu icons again fix that (no one wants to scroll for ever when they get lots of armor)
smaller icons for everything customization wise (perhaps giving players a option to change to name of items or small icons)
transparent menu can be hard to see a lot of the time
Store page is to bright and colorful compared to other menus (I cant believe u have a store with items u cant unlock via game but ok hope its just testing)
Pink non texture name plate
All backgrounds and menus seem super dark
Make armor coats and were they paint the spartan more clear without showing a preview (people wont like this armor coat stuff btw)
Menu seems to horizontal themed and need grids and some verticality
idk were to put this but frag icon needs to be added when next to frag or maybe its a audio problem cause u cant hear travel or sound impacts of the frags (basically you go boom with no warning or sound)
Weapon spawn UI
One small addition I would like to see would be either a timer, a progress bar type effect or faster and faster pulses on weapon spawns.
The simple fact is we have a RED icon and a BLUE icon. even when it’s blue it isn’t always out and available.
If I know there are 5 seconds until I can get more ammo vs 10 seconds then it will help with my gameplay decisions.
I’m sure someone has said it already, but Battle Pass needs passive increases for playing the game. Only through challenges is not good. I’m not sure if a bug or game design but it’s relatively easy to get capped out on xp daily.

Game Modes affected - Slayer - bots, Slayer - ODST Bots
Map - Live Fire & Recharge
Affect - Crash
Steps:
- Load Live Fire in Bots
- Move to a grenade spawn location
- Pick up the grenades, then immediately press “alt” (this swaps grenade types)
- the game will then become unresponsive and later crash
Edit - May be related to Nvidia GPU’s. (tested using 1080 TI & 3080TI
Both maps affected. wider issue
Customisation changes won’t untoggle until the menu has been left.
Did have an issue when searching for a match the hold left toggle to leave cancels the search and opens the last match report.
Not obvious what’s body type changes are made of male or female.
When scrolling in the settings during a game the setting background jitters
Not sure if this is the best place but ran into an issue with challenges. Can’t level my battle pass out of level 6 as completed all the weekly challenges and my daily one is to play PvP matches which I can’t too? So my matches aren’t counting towards my pass.

Weapon - Ravenger
Able to “spam” reload/vent while shooting. this causes the weapon to fire faster than initially planned. by spamming vent, i am able to shot faster than when normally waiting for the next firing opportunity.
Does anyone know how people are accessing the “Personalization” tab in the technical preview? I see some players who managed to changed their emblem and service tag but my friends and I can’t seem to do the same.
UI should have an indicator when you are looking at a surface that’s close enough to grapple onto (either near the crosshair or near the equipment graphic when the grapple is equipped).
Aside from the UI bugs we all know will be cleaned up by release, one UI issue I have is the lack of ability to customize my Spartan while matchmaking. It would be nice if you could access the customization menu from the “start” menu like in previous games as opposed to tabbing over to it.
The layout of the customization menu could also use a little work I think. Instead of needing to tab through all the options in a single row, maybe having two columns on the left to move through, that don’t require scrolling for category, but will require it for options within the categories would feel better, then the Spartan/Weapon/Vehicle display would be on the right.
Not earning XP for completing matches and only for completing challenges is a huge problem for me.
Exhausted the challenges pretty quickly and it feels a bit of a waste to carry on playing while waiting for the challenges to reset.
Maybe it’s just because it’s the flight, maybe it’s a dirty way to extend the life of the battle pass… Either way, I feel it’s something that needs to be addressed.
I’m stuck on the battle pass. Not getting any EXP simply for playing in a game, and the only challenge I have left is a PvP one. Surely there should be some base EXP for completing a game?

Through the Halo Waypoint beta app
After all the challenges are complete there’s now way to rank up the battle pass so now I’m stuck as far as progression. Not a fan of not getting xp after every game based on performance. Also I see under consumables you can purchase battle pass progression. I sincerely hope that’s not in the final game. It cheapens the work others put in to complete it. Menus are a little clunky navigating but I assume that’s just the build. Gameplay is tip top. Loving it

It feels VERY limiting having XP only come from challenges and nothing coming from playing matches

Its cool that you are doing unlimited lifetimes on your Battlepasses, but a big problem in MCC is that if you fall behind on the weeklies for any reason, you can NOT make that up at all, so lets say you didnt get through the Halo 1 Season before the next came out, you can either finish the first and be horribly behind on all future seasons, or move on to the next and just never get to finish. I know that the modern BP system has an extremely toxic relationship with completionism. Especially with your stated interest in trying to make playing Infinite not feel like you 2nd/3rd/or 4th job, i hope as time marches on, Older battlepasses either get reduced XP requirements to progress, or multiple tiers start getting compressed together with very minor increases to the xp cost. MCC without this sort of catch-up mechanic has transformed from fun with friends into a list of weekly chores that i just cant have fun with anymore.(sorry about the essay, but imo the inability of catching up still instills the same FOMO as just having the pass be limited time. If i cant outpace/catch up with the passes, you still have the problem of the release of the next season being a deadline to finish the current.)

On the Stream for the Technical preview, armor kits where touch on but left very vague. they said (speaking from memory) that in Season 1 you can get most of the Noble Teams armors as kits. To me this implies that the Noble armors will be standalone set sets of armor with little to no customization and, for example, you cant unlock Emile’s special carved EVA as a helmet and its only tied to the armor kit. IF this is the case that will be quite disheartening…

I agree with the whole XP thing but i think not 100% but i think its just for the beta as it doesnt make much sense expecially with the XP boosters which i wasted 2 of them because i didnt have challenegs at the time. a good amount of games allow you to buy LVLS within the battle pass i agree it takes away the hard work but especially with the battles passes NOT expiring in Infinite it seems okay to do anyways. IMO
XP Boost Feedback
The past 30 minutes, which is great. However, they tick down in real-time.
I just applied one via the beta app and now it’s ticking away whilst I’m out.
Idea
It lasts for a finite number of matches instead. This way, it can be applied without the risk of losing out due to various reasons.
