Lol wish so bad I go a invite weekend off and birthday weekend was hoping to play so bad! Game looks amazing!

Tons of bugs in TM, but I’m submitting tickets as we speak, so I digress.

In terms of feedback for TM that isn’t about bugs: Yeah, it’s something to mess around in, not much else I can say. Has most of the important settings you’d want. Only thing I can suggest is more friendly and enemy bots.

Gameplay wise : Slide are still to slugish and are not responsive enough …

Performances wise : Performance degrade very quickly also went from 150+ FPS to low 80 with very bad stutter , this game still feel really bad on PC and performances degrade very quickly and feel stuttery and not fluid even at 80+ fps

https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/halo-insider/profile just go there LINK in " MY FLIGHT " and see in your Insider if you have access . I didnt receive the Email to confirm i had it but i had it in my insider page on https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/halo-insider/profile so give it a try

Hi, I am getting horrible framerates and stuttering on the lowest settings. I have an RTX 2060, Ryzen 5 5600X, and 16gb Ram. It seems like no matter what settings I try, it hovers around 45 fps with drops down to 18.

I’ve played a couple hours so far. It’s much better than the last flight. Some negative things first:

  • The bots are still cross mapping with Assault Rifles and Sidekicks. This issue probably needs to be solved on the AI side and the weapon balance side. For example: The rate of fire is just ridiculous on the Sidekick, and should be noticeably reduced. But the bots (AI) have perfect aim at extreme distances and they’re also able to perfectly manage any recoil instantly. Combine these two issues, and you get pistol sniped across maps.

  • The bots will preemptively micro-strafe just out of your aim when you use the Sniper, Skewer, and Shock Rifle, causing you to miss shots you would normally hit on players. Even when they shouldn’t know where you are, they know exactly where you are, they know exactly what weapon you’re holding no matter the distance, they know exactly where you’re aiming, and exactly when you pull the trigger, and they react to your inputs nearly instantaneously by moving just a tiny bit out of your reticle, and controller aim assist just doesn’t cut it unless you crank it up to crazy levels. This issue is extremely apparent on Spartan and ODST difficulties.

Now for some positive things:

  • It’s nice to see less grenade spam.

  • Bot behavior feels more natural than before, if a bit chaotic. Like new players still learning a map at times.

I know the bots should be difficult, but like the grenade accuracy in the first flight, some of the things they do feel like blatant cheating. They need to be a touch more ignorant of where the player is, what weapon the player is holding, and where the player is aiming. But don’t get me wrong, the bots really are great. They just need some work to make them feel a little more human. More flawed.

Still pretty unsure about weapon balance overall, because many things don’t feel quite right. The overall weapon balance feels good, but a bit unsatisfying. But that’s a discussion for the weapon drills thread (I think) after I’ve got a better feeling for things.

This feedback goes for Training Mode aswell as every other mode. If you have your controller plugged in while using MNK you get AIM ASSIST on MNK. Needs to be fixed ASAP

I just tried testing this out, as soon as I touch the mouse, the aim assist stops. You can however use the keyboard for movement and aim assist is still present. But I don’t think this is really an issue, they could lock you to your chosen control scheme before a match like in MCC if need be.

I’ll star off by saying this has been a pretty good experience for me on the Series X. There was some good and bad, but that’s why we’re here.

Training mode:
Definitely a fan of the training mode. Spent the last few hours there. It gives a great opportunity to really get familiar with a weapon, especially with being able to have infinite ammo and being deathless. No need to respawn or find ammo while mastering any given weapon, and all while at your own pace and without repercussions of trying to do it in multi-player.

Training mode options:
I do have some flickering when at the menu, and just like everyone else, pausing causes the sound effects to get stuck. Sometimes when changing loadouts everything reverts to the standard configuration. Fortunately, the bot weapons do not reflect my own loadout. I think it would be a good addition to be able to change the bots to different characters/races. As I said above, very useful being able to choose and master a loadout.

Training mode settings:
Similar as to what I stated above. When I scroll up/down through settings quickly it is like a strobe light. Controls feel natural for the most part, and have default layouts for now. I think we can all agree that the method to switch grenades is a hindrance. I keep trying to switch and end up scanning with AI. When changing sensitivities and deadzones I have noticed they will display zero, but still move to where I want them. I just back out, go back into the settings, and the values reappear. Otherwise the menu feels very fluid and well organized.

hi ive been invited on my email and everything but cant download the game or anything

Damn i got the invite but not my steam key

First of all congrats to the peeps that got in! Secondly though, this rollout for the flight has seemed to be nothing short of a disaster. I’ve waited all day for an email, for an enrolled flight line on my profile, for a message saying I’ve gotten my Steam code and I haven’t gotten anything despite being enrolled and meeting spec requirements. Now if/when I do get my code, I have to be worried about if the code is said to have already been used. Seeing a lot of people having the same issue, and it’s the radio silence that’s bothersome. Even a simple “Hey, we know theres an issue right now but we’re looking into it.” or just an update of some sort that they are looking into things would really help a lot. I don’t mean to sound whiny and did my best to make this constructive because I very much look forward to fragging out in some Halo goodness.

I like it a lot, play’s smooth on my series s on 4k upscaling 60hz.
things I noticed:
-screen flickering

  • no voice/announcer (could be by design)
  • after I picked up/used a Shield my grappling hook doesn’t work anymore.

Training Mode needs to have a custom game option so that you can play with or against your friends

Y Button doesn’t working in the game. Doesn’t change a weapon. I played on Xbox Series X.

Do you have the Input Lag on Xbox One X too?
its a little bit better as Halo 5 but in my Opinion not good enough. What do you think?

Add a timer to training mode, say 5 mins/10/30 mins practice timer. I’d also like to see how many kills I get within that certain amount of time using two set weapons

THANK YOU.

I’ve identified some aspects of the game that are below average or completely lacking. This being on PC technical preview with the training mode.

For example the below:

  1. Shoot a monitor mounted on the wall, electronic panel, vehicle windscreen and no glass cracks will appear. Shoot the plastics bottles lying around in Bazaar and nothing will happen. They barely even move. (They should get a bullet puncture and start leaking water or deflate). The fruit physics is like physics from the very early 2000s. There’s no blood decals whatsoever. Bullet decals are the same bullet decal no matter the different calibre of bullet. And the exact same when shooting a puddle of water. Explosion decals are underwhelming.

  2. Why is there no collision physics? Even the first Halo game had this…

  3. The 'body type options for Spartan customisation seems completely pointless. There’s not enough ‘options’ nor difference. They all look androgynous.

  4. Not enough ammunition carriage. Only 216 rounds max for the assault rifle. Seriously?? And only 72 for the Sidekick? Even real life soldiers can carry more ammunition then that into battle depending on what soldier combat ensemble they are utilising. And this is supposed to be a fictional game that’s not a simulator so we should be able to carry more ammunition then real life soldiers.

  5. Some bots get stuck and start flickering in place on some points of the MP maps. I saw a bot get stuck at a wall and start clipping in place on the Bazaar map.

  6. Loading screens are still quite long even with an M.2 SSD.

  7. Shadow pop in and flickering is prevalent on Bazaar.

  8. The Spike weapon should impale enemies onto walls and the like. Again this is a “attention to detail” aspect that is overlooked.

  9. RTX 2080 Ti, i9 9900KS, 32GB DDR4 Ram @ 3733 Mhz, 2TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 SSD, Windows 10 Pro (latest update) at 3440x1440p resolution and capped at 60 FPS. Still getting the occasional FPS drop. And even when it’s stable sadly the game itself feels wrong. Like there’s some kind of framepacing issue happening in the background. AND this is performance issues only with the very small maps. Imagine how much worse the performance may be with the open campaign and BTB maps with vehicles…

Conclusion. The lack of attention to detail is very perturbing for a game in development for 6 whole years. And when it’s lacking good tech that has existed for over a decade and more and yet has performance issues. Something is amiss.

Xbox matchmaking is really slow,Been searching for a multiplayer match for over 45min is there just not enough people testing?
