Check the in game controller settings. My “Y” button got unbound for some reason for weapon swap and I had to re-bind it.

Training mode seems to be hogging my cpu and dropping frames, cant be the bots I scaled it down and had settings on low and still 100% usage. Despite this the game is amazing. Audio for gun sounds and shield recharge are crisp as are the visuals.
Since the waypoint beta isnt up ill put my comments here for now.
•Training mode doesnt have the new map “behemoth” like it was shown on the live stream. Idk if it was supposed to or not.
•Cannot switch weapons in training mode
•This build doesnt feel like the first flight very much at all

The new grenade change user interface widget is significantly more difficult to use in the heat of combat than systems in prior Halo titles. Needing to press a button to bring up a grenade UI then press a second button to select a grenade takes longer to perform in the middle of a fight than a toggle does. Furthermore, you cannot shoot while the grenade menu is up with default controller bindings. This will be an issue for competitive play, but it’s also just unnecessary. Only two grenades can be held at a time in Infinite MP, so there is no need for anything more than a simple toggle. This new system is more complicated and takes more time to navigate than the old one and offers no advantages in multiplayer combat so long as players can only hold two grenade types at once.

I recommend checking your controller bindings. Y was not bound to swap weapons for me by default.
I had a question, the game is running about 30 FPS for me, I’m on the Xbox one S console, is this a normal frame rate to have? Or is it gonna be fixed and optimized for the final release.
First time playing Halo Infinite, I noticed that you can do Melee reload Melee, making where you can Melee really fast, it’s very OP, and feel like it will probably need fixed

I have a question 343, why go through all this trouble sending out countless invites 2 times when I imagine theres probably the option to just automatically allow access to the flight through the insider app to eveyone who has already been invited to participate once the flight is up and running. I say this because the 2 step process seems unnecessary and has been very frustrating waiting for myself and from what I have seen on various other platforms as well for others wishing to participate in the flight. I’d be participating currently if this second step wasn’t in place. Now I’m to going to bed frustrated after waiting 12 hours, all I wanted was to hopefully play just a few minutes.

Same here. 2080RTX , i9-9900K with 32GB of memory.
Way worse performance than the last build. Playing on lowest settings and have to use minimal fps setting at 140 fps.
If it launches like this it will be not be well received from the PC community. Honestly, I have played alpha tests with better performance than this flight. Terrible stutters and mouse input feels terrible (way worse than last build).
Overall the core game play is fun but I am worried that this plays so bad on a pretty decent build. There is also no difference in performance on low vs high.
Hello all. The weapon drills feel great, although I believe the ravager 1 weapon drills high score is not set proper, as it says I need 140,000 score to unlock star 2. I could be wrong, but it certainly doesn’t seem possible to me.

i have the same issue. I am playing on xbox FYI. I rebooted my xbox and the halo infinite insider app finally allowed me access before the website officially recognized I had an email sent to me notifying me I have been invited to play in the technical preview. As long as you have the infinite insider downloaded you maybe ok to play. Hope this helps

Bots and gameplay bugs:
Grenade selection is still bad. No way I can manage this during gunfights. We need to go back to original toggle, and something like press + hold to swap current grenade. All one button, no fiddling around
I’m playing on the xbox series x and while going through the different weapons at the range, the bots seem to be a bit glitchy. I’m getting proper hit markers from the weapons but the bots seem to be phasing in and out as they run across the arena. Anyone else notice this?
