Go to custom setup and make sure the swap/drop mechanism is programmed to a button or key.

It’d be nice to see player collision incorporated at this point.
As this is a thread for training mode, going to give some feedback about the training mode. Currently enjoy it a lot.
As some pointed out, would like a little more customization with the bots (mixing up difficulties), and of course, would really like it if I could bring friends in with me. (I mean if it really is a training ground, training with a friend is important to training).
I am not sure if this is just something limited and on release we could create custom games with friends where enemies are bots or something. I hope on launch we will have more options to play against bots with friends that are not limited to just matchmaking.
Anyone else having trouble loading training mode? here it loads but doesn’t start, I’ve tried several times
Loving how you can customise weapon loadouts, bot difficulty etc just from the pause menu. A big problem after a couple of games/loadout swaps is that I can’t switch between my primary and secondary weapons. It’s like the Y button doesn’t work (series X)
EDIT: I’ve seen a few people with the same problem for training and PvP. Go to settings and put the button layout to default. I don’t know why but it was set to custom and basically made Y none existent haha
Re: the swap button not working - My account had a “custom” setting for the button mapping auto applied when I started up. Change it to your choice a few times and it should stick.
Spartan Bots - Holy crap they are aggressive, and they can see through camo! When I play on ODST the bots are a little challenging, but not impossible. Spartans start shooting at you before you come around a corner, can see me when I’m in camo, and can make cross map shots with the AR while I’m shooting back with a BR - and win.
Also re: the AR - right now, the weapon sandbox against Spartans makes it nearly impossible to use anything but the AR. The lack of any appreciable bloom means I can put way more bullets in a target than any other gun - and as such its’ a long time to kill, but far more impactful. I hate to say it, because I love how it’s much more viable - but I think it needs a nerf. No way should an AR beat a BR 9/10 times.
Just tried to join my first game and it errored me but then repeatedly threw the message in my face until I quit and restarted so ill try again but not the greatest of starts
The graphics are fine on my new Xbox. The problem I have is the sights open and close. The unsc pistol is complete trash. You need to beef it up and it needs to impact and take down shields faster. Maybe a 5 shot pistol. The plasma pistol is horrible, no charging? The needler fires and looks like little pink nails coming out. The hammer takes too long to swing. The hammer only kills 1 bot when there are 2 side by side. Feels like they really haven’t been working on it at all the past few years. There is a new COD every year, why cant 343 keep up? Very disappointed in the training with the bots. I did turn the bots up to spartan level and finally had a fight. I still felt the weapons were weak all around. I’m really frustrated with the pistol! I mean come on how do you make it so weak? The multiplayer doesn’t work. Anyways I am done with my rant.
Entrei ontem no modo treinamento de tiros com armas, e hoje diz que a minha conta não é aceita.
Estava tão feliz, enfim sou jogador desde o inicio do Halo em 2006 são 14 anos jogando todos os Halos do 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 e agora este novo chega travando tirando nossa maior alegria de todos os tempos.
