Everything on mouse and keyboard just feels bad.
I think the first flight had a better radar for the social playlists.
That’s the only complaint I have. The game is great.
Maybe it’s just me, but I have yet to be matched with any semi decent team mates yet the other team is full of Halo gods. Not fun when your basically the only one getting kills on your team and your team is just getting smashed. Havent had a decent game yet. Can smash bots on spartan all day long but the mp matchmaking needs alot of work
The radar is terrible
Here is my feedback through my experience of Halo Infinite’s second flight. It overall feels great! Though one huge thing that bothers me about the gameplay is it feels like there’s not enough feedback when dealing or taking damage, or mainly when taking. When you take damage. at very least with mouse and keyboard. it feels like it’s hard to tell. It feels like the enemies gunshots are too quiet or overall is hard to tell when you’re being shot. On the side of dealing damage, it just feels like it has less umph than other halos or fps in general.
I noticed that you can’t grapple and have plasma pistol charged at same time. Is this a bug?
The game so far has been great fun, in general terms I’m really enjoying it. Here are some of the flaws I’ve found:
- I feel the radar size could improve, most of the time it’s hard to notice enemies nearby.
- When entering a match it sometimes takes a long time to load, it has even kicked me out of the servers because of that.
- Sometimes the match (not the game) freezes for a while, but that might just be my internet, I point it here just in case.
- Also another thing to mention is that there are certain moments when I’m shooting and the sound of the weapon suddenly disappears.
- The pistol doesn’t have as much power as it should.
- Aim assist still feels broken in most guns.
As for matchmaking, I’m getting hammered in one match, do well in the next, then get hammered after. Is it skill based? It would be neat to also have input based matchmaking like in MCC to even it out. Playing with a controller and I feel like the game was intentional made for Mouse/Keyboard due to how small the reticles are and how precise you need to be, which is difficult on a controller that has less aim assist to previous titles.
As for maps, I am mostly getting Bazaar and Live Fire while rarely getting Recharge and Behemoth based on my experience. Would be nice to play on a new map if I keep getting one more often than the others.
Really like that the motion sensor is back detecting motion! Gives more info for more people instead of having to rely on sound instead. The outlines of everyone is much better! Easier to tell friend from foe.
does anyone else feel like the sound of getting fragged sounds like you were meleed even when killed by any weapon? its like a thwack and i always think i was meleed. i think there should be better sounds for getting fragged by each weapon
I enjoyed the flight. I have a few bits of feedback:

The radar range is too short. The tightness of the radar and the need to crouch to not appear encouraged camping once power weapons are obtained. Maybe a wider radius or the combat tracker from the original flight. I also noticed there is no way to determine what floor the enemy is on. The maps have a ton of verticality, but the radars have no way of showing this.

XP after matches and an overall ranking systems is needed. Challenges should be an addition to your season pass and overall rank, not the main source. The challenge system increases in difficulty and time requirement, but the xp yield has a diminishing return the longer you play. The complete 1 pvp match and complete 4 pvp matches reward the same xp. There is not much reason to complete the challenges after the first few.

The commando and BR should be a bit more effective at longer ranges. The weapons felt great to use, but I never found myself at an advantage when facing against the AR or sidekick. I felt the damage of the AR and pistol were reasonable. It feels almost as if damage output for all these guns felt the same, but the firing mode differences provided a bit assistance at longer ranges so they felt more effective. But in reality, if someone could effectively burst fire the AR at longer ranges, they were just as effective as the BR and Commando.
Overall, I really enjoyed the game. I’m sure there will be more tweaks and maybe my suggestions have already been addressed or discussed. It’s great to see the community so positive and excited for halo!
So here are my thoughts. Battle pass being the only form of xp? Will there be playlist ranks like in Halo3?
footsteps are very quiet. Not sure if that’s intended or not.
great feel to the game though. Hoping to have time tested modes such as swat and shotty snipes in Full release.

When playing CTF, I noticed it was possible to push the flag with vehicles. Not sure if this is a bug or intended but its weird and shouldn’t be in the game.
Regarding gun play:
So far the gameplay feels great. The game feels crisp and smooth and matches seem to flow really well. However, the gun play does not feel sticky at all. The guns feel super balanced which is amazing but I am finding it hard to use precision weapons such as the br, commando, and the sidekick. They do not feel sticky at all making them too much of a challenge to use. I’m not necessarily asking for a ridiculous amount of aim assist, just enough that it feels like the reticle sticks to targets more.
I thought this was specifically a console problem but even my friend playing on PC felt there was not enough stick to the weapons. I think adding a little more aim assist will make a huge difference.
I also love that the game is going to be crossplay. But as we console players all know, we have a slight disadvantage against PC players regarding aim (I specifically notice this in APEX legends as I normally play crossolay and do average but when I switch to console only I pop off). The usual solution to this unbalance is aim assist. I think adding a little more (please not call of duty level of aim assist that is way too much) will not only level out the playing field but also make gunplay feel smoother and more satisfying.
To reiterate, I think precision weapons are in a good place balance wise, I am just having a hard time sticking to my targets (even at close to mid range) with my reticle.

Warthog crosshair and handling is all wrong and very uncomfortable. I require the option to have the turrets rotation depenant or independent of the pilots steering. Some people like either but I need independence. Issue with other peoples AI showing up in Strongholds instead of my own when I arrived at the stronghold first. Ghost is able to push flags of both teams very very quickly, and even push them off of the edge of the map, this will lead to insane strats, the Ghost is very powerful in CTF in this regard. Having an issue right now atow where I cannot equip the Estate Gold Coating I have just unlocked. I still hate the changes made to sliding since I can’t maintain momentum anymore like flight 1, and the sliding meta has been ruined as a result imo. I absolutely adore the Ghost, that being said it has hijacking delay/desync issues with the prompt to hijack appearing on the screen. It is especially critical that this prompt shows up when you are directly behind or at the side of the Ghost.
A few things.
I shouldn’t be getting shot from far with an AR and every bullet hitting me faster than I can shoot with a BR perfectly aimed.
the score menu should automatically disappear after I let go of the button. Many times I’ll check score after dying then when I respawn it’s still up and I need to push the button again effectively stopping whatever action I’m in the middle of
the gravity hammer works too far away as well. You had to be pretty close in the last game to hit. I would make the swing faster and have to be pretty close to the person you wanna hit
another thing, all the special equip items are nice but there should be one that lets you thrust . Why is there one that’ll thrust the player in front of you but not one that’ll thrust your direction.

I think it should be. Pushing your teams flag off of the map can save time. It’s a great feature for thinkers and another example of combat evolving. It had to have absolutely been an intended feature by 343i atleast for the flights to see our reactions.
I have enjoyed both previews, but have a few bits of feedback:

Teammates shouldn’t be able to move through each other. This causes two problems. When my teammate walks through me and stops me from shooting the other team, and when I am killing an opponent only for their teammate to walk through them and start absorbing the damage. The solution would be making players on the same team collide with each other in the same way opponents can collide.

I used the consumable level up to get to level 30 on the premium pass. After this XP and challenges became worthless. Also there should still be a level system like old Halo games. It provides a nice way to measure xp gained from my whole time playing, not just the current season.

The in game scoreboard should have a way to quickly point out where you are. There is a small triangle next to your name, but that kinda blends in with the symbols for muted/unmuted. Maybe if your row was bolded or a different colour. This should make it quicker to see your own stats.

The challenge system should be supplementary to earning XP the traditional ways of playing matches, winning matches and preforming well.
Overall, I really have enjoyed playing and look forward to playing again next weekend and when the game launches!
While the warthog is in the air the physics are a little off and choppy. Otherwise the handling feels fun
Love the bot lobby !! Good way to practice, would like to be able to get rewards and experience from it as well to keep it interesting.
social arena pvp I think the power weapons should spawn a little faster because if you are going against a good team they can gain the advantage really quickly if they beat you to the power weapon. 2nd remark I have concerns with is I hope this will be skilled based match making matches , I know it’s just a beta but there was so many times I wanted to throw my controller threw my tv because I was match up with amateurs that look like they never played a shooter in their life let alone halo against what it seems like full MLG teams and that’s not fun .
Love the new weapons !! I think the battle rifle need a power up and Assault rifle just a little.
hope in the final release the challenges are better and more rewarding but I know we are in beta stage so not to worried about it but please make it more fun , don’t want to feel like it’s a 9-5 job with little pay out .
last but not least bugs , bugs , bugs …. A lot of them but you know that and everyone here has had something to say about them so will leave this like that.
overall love the directions the game is heading but still needs lot of work , thanks for the opportunity to test this future master piece Can’t wait till the next flight for more testing !
