No thread for abilities but can we remove the cool-down from the grapple hook? Would be great to be able to properly swing from buildings Spider-Man style which isn’t really possible now.

I’ve never been unhappy to play a halo until infinite it a make or break until I go to ps5. The multiplayer is off I know it a tech preview whatever but this halo feels so off and slow… Guns on map idk how to feel about them… I feel like they’re should be more added on map and the sliding is just nasty I hate the sliding cause it seems to never do much but slow me down and it stops randomly like I sometimes can’t slide I just stand up right away… Some guns are just useless like the wall bounce one just take it out… Thank u

Melee Lunge: This feels extremely inconsistent. Feels as if it doesn’t activate half the time, and when it does it doesn’t feel right, as if the lunge isn’t far enough, and it’s distance to activate is way too short.

The BXR Melee combo: This should be downright removed in my personal opinion, Overshield is practically useless once someone does the combo on you.

Radar: I feel like this needs to be increased to 20 meters, 18 just feels too short.

The matchmaking: I do hope there’s some kind of SBMM at launch. As everyone already knows, it’s a complete sweat fest right now. Just takes the fun out of the game when you get back to back games with people who are much better at the game than you are.

Infinite Constructive Feedback:
In no order of importance:
Respawn Times should be cut to 8 seconds for the objective game modes like it is in slayer, 10 seconds is over the top. Myself as an example, I have a 0.95 K/D across MCC, and in Infinite I might die around 12 times in a match. So, in an 8-minute match, I might have to spend 1/4 of that dead, over 2 minutes! It also makes it tough to come back in CTF, since the enemy team can move a lot in those 10 seconds.SBMM from CoD making an appearance? Since the game is already a sweat-fest, and SBMM killed CoD for me. Though that’s likely because the Flight is locked down so only hardcore fans are playing, and lots of the comp. players are now in Socials since there isn’t a comp. option. But, if it does exist, take it out, please.Motion Tracker should be 25m like the old games, and it should show arrows if the players are above or below you. Right now it’s borderline useless, since half the time if you glance down the enemy is already directly in front of you because the range is so limited, and I can’t say how many times I’ve thought somebody was close by, but they were above me.AR Starts I prefer to BR starts, but the AR needs a nerf, it often outclasses the power weapons. (Don’t make it an H3 Pea Shooter, but make the BR and Commando viable). The best way to do that in my opinion would be to remove the headshot multiplier for it, so it becomes a lot less useful at long range where its hard to hit, but keeps it viable at close range.Speaking of which, the aiming seems quite off, stuff like the Commando and Sniper is borderline impossible for me to use personally (MkB player, and never have issues with the MCC Snipers) Though many other players have been reporting aiming issues.No player collision and friendly fire is a major turnoff, it’s always been there, and it forced you to be tactical. Now you can just rocket launcher into a crowd and not worry,
plus no fun head jumps and whatnot. Plus, it seems weird running through a friendly spartan. This change shouldn’t be too difficult to implement either.No grenade/rocket jumps, it seems like they removed this to give the repulsor more use, but these have always been around and added to the fun of the game, definitely need to come back. just don’t make them launch you as far as the repulsor.Gravity hammer… Doesn’t affect GRAVITY… It’s super lame not having it affect gravity, not to mention, RIP Grifball if they keep it this way. (No clue if it messes with vehicles.)

I’m loving it so far 343! There are very few problems with Infinite for me to grumble about, however, I can see many others and myself included very much dislike or even straight out despise some changes you guys have made about some very important aspects of the game.

  1. XP System - I can’t quite seem to understand as to why such a large shift in player progression was warranted. I do not like how the only way to progress is through challenges. I am a firm believer that the individual player is entitled to the appropriate amount of XP earned based on their performance in their completed match. If I had carried my team in Slayer I would like to be compensated for my performance! On the flip side, if I did poorly in a match, my reward for a victory I did not contribute should not be equal to the team MVP. In a way it just feels like I won a participation trophy, I want none of it.
    It would also seem that if I wanted to progress through my Battle Pass to unlock the next best helmet I would be constricted to only playing a certain type of game mode that a challenge requires, and I may not want to play or just don’t like that particular game mode needed to complete the challenge.
  • I only can think of one plus to challenge only progression as of right now. That is that SOME challenges would encourage me to play the objective, and thus increase my cooperation with my teammates.
  1. Player Collision - I have lost my opponent by having them run or jump right through me on multiple occasions in my 2 matches played as of typing this (I’ve been waiting in queue for awhile now). This is definitely a bigger problem than I am letting on right now but this is absolutely something that needs to change.

  2. WHERE ARE MY PRIMARY COLORS - removing primary color customization is absolutely abhorrent to me. I do not care how many armor coatings you make, there will not be as many possible combinations as you think, that is a fact! There is amazing potential for primary color customization with the current amount of customizable individual armor pieces in the game. I can already see me scrolling through the 117th page out of 343 full of armor coatings just to find the one I want for 2 hours. This needs to change. I have some great memories between my friends and I from Halo 3 and Reach that I can still recall their exact armor and color combinations to this day.

! IMPORTANT ! — My possible solution to this between Monetization and player customizability: Give the people what they want, return my primary colors and then in addition to that, you fellas over in 343 can monetize certain colors, (ex. in addition to the standard primary color choices, somebody could buy the color Gold, Chrome or Vantablack for a dollar or two.) This way 343 can squeeze a bit of money out of us, all the while everybody gets the color customization we want. :slight_smile:

After those big 3 I wanted to address here are some the the smaller gripes I have right now.

  1. Radar radius seems a bit small, I’ll see a red dot ready for destruction at the end of my radar, but then they are already on top of me.
  2. Heatwave is fun but feels a little underpowered, or its just my aim, not sure yet.
    Sniper zoom is too magnified to be spawned in these smaller CQC maps. maybe 4x/8x magnification instead of 5x/10x?
  3. Plasma pistol tracking seems a bit strong.

-Add player collision to strategize are awareness and approach to combat. Not having player collision has created an annoying way for teammates/players to grief other teammates/players.

-Give us the ability to increase the grenade blast percentage/radius or increases it more than what it is currently. This will be useful for grenade jumps and throwing them in tight angled areas in combat.

  1. On PC at least the game feels poorly optimized which i am hoping is just for the beta, its always choppy never maintains even 60 fps for not just myself but every pc player i have spoken too.
  2. Radar sucks compared to previous Halo games, for some reason this new radar dosen’t have the same range and for some reason was it made so only people sprinting can be seen on radar?
  3. To many grenades’ on Spawn for arena mode the game just turns into an explosive fest.
  4. The Sidekick does way to little damage or if not damage just for some reason has way to low of a kill time even at close range.

Otherwise great game :slight_smile:

  • Grenade spam is way too much. Should remove grenades from player loadout of respawning.

Fix respawns before you release this. Some matches are fine, but more than 50% of the matches I play, I am spawned with my back to an enemy, over and over. It is zero fun when you die over and over straight out of respawning.

Other than that, the gameplay is amazing and my favorite Halo since 3.

Some issue with game so far

  • The motion radar is completely suck: In halo 3 or higher motion radar can see if enemy location either on top or bottom from my position. But this motion radar don’t have one. The motion radar range sometime more smaller than previous game result enemy appear next to you while motion claim it far away. - Nvidia Graphic Card issue: (Make sure that it need at least 472.12 for this game to work) For older version that like last month is having issue with game lag and sometime pause menu not working and result game crash. The only to fix is update to latest graphic card. (Using RTX 2060 SUPER) - Battlepass and XP: Having a daily task and weekly task that can earn XP. But I don’t like that doesn’t include based on player score in complete match. When I beat a match with score, it need to have some XP like other games like COD and fornite based on kill and objective score earn. The higher the kill/score is, the higher XP earn. Without it and already complete all daily task and weekly task, it is impossible to level up XP and battlepass for a day. - Keyboard and controller connect at same time: When I play a match with keyboard and mouse. I notice my controller start vibration and I found that I had disable vibration in setting. This could be problem when I decide to play with keyboard and mouse only with controller still connect to my computer. I check the setting and there no way to turn set to keyboard and mouse only or controller only. - Some blind in keyboard and mouse are useless: I notice some keyblind like “zoom” and “zoom in and out” in different keyset that I am confused. It both function same way. - Playing too long result strange main menu and during customize - Well after play multiplayer too long and try to change AI voice and will not let me change when button have wheel spin. Plus it happen to all other customize. - No push to talk on mic controller PC - I don’t know if I miss that, but there are no option for push to talk when using controller unless you need to press on keyboard. - AI in social match is complete joke - My team AI shoot like aimbot while enemy AI cannot shoot straight when I stand in 6 feet distance without taking damage. - Dead player still show if alive - It is annoy that I see team nametag until I come virtual range in which it start mark dead already. - Assault rifle head shot?? - Somehow can do head shot me even with full shield. - Fast Grenade throw glitch - sometime I do fast grenade by rapid press or sometime it will delay animation which grenade appear out of nowhere.
    So far this game is good but it feel like it dull compare to previous halo games I played. There are more improved to make.

  • Have option so silent AI or voice - It is annoyance to hear that. - Some map have flicker or light texture issue. - Rapid punch glitch is fun but having over shield is useless when enemy use punch glitch.

  • The game needs some weapon balancing: AR is so powerful even at mid-to-long range. This makes using the pistol almost impossible at close and mid range unless you can somehow land straight headshots while being charged with an AR. - Why is it so difficult to consistently land shots with the sidekick while the BR and other rifles seem easy to shoot with even at close range? The sidekick seems to have little or inconsistent aim assist. - Grenade switching: can you implement the halo 3 UI for grenades? All your grenades are listed across the top of the screen and with one button you can switch and clearly see which one is selected - Melees feel janky. I guess it’s the animation that makes the movement feel slow and heavy. The worst part is inconsistent melees. Sometimes I’ll connect a melee to the side of an opponent and other times it feels like it doesn’t connect when it should. I don’t want to bring up halo 3 again but the melee in that game is clean and consistent. Maybe all the extra animation in infinite is the cause…not sure.

Headshots feel really off, I cant really tell if that’s just because most precision weapons have bloom, but even with the br I cant tell where I’m actually hitting the enemy ever. It may just be networking issues I’m not sure. many of the weapons really feel right. Especially the revenger, sometimes the first or last bullets don’t do any damage, or even the entire volley just doesn’t do damage sometimes.

Also the kill sound after you kill someone is offset like a 1s or 0.5s off of when you kill them. And I think there should be two different sounds for headshots vs. a regular kill.

None of the weapons feel like I’m doing significant damage. In any other halo there are a lot of different and clear signs that you broke the enemies shields etc. Maybe its just that I’m expecting the same cues as from past halo’s or maybe there just aren’t enough or aren’t clear enough.

Other halos focus around getting optimal ttk’s but I don’t see that many headshots in the kill feed. I think 343 might just want to separate the skill groups further apart so they can gather a new larger audience but that kind blows for anyone in the middle.

Also I think that only the same control inputs should play together.

Maps feel too small, and the spawning needs to be worked on cuz I’ve spawned many times just to be jumped by the enemy team.

The maps are absolutely awful. They are way too small and poorly designed. Why on earth you’d continue on with the map design of Halo 4 and 5 when they are by far the least popular is beyond me.

Can I say, I’m actually having a lot of fun. I didn’t enjoy Halo 5 very much, but in this one I’m having a lot of fun. There are a few annoying things, like the motion tracker radius being too small to let you see around corners and avoid getting swarmed in most cases, but I’ve been having a lot of fun with it so far. The holy trinity is definitely back and as strong as ever. it’s different, but I can tell I’m playing Halo.

Melee lunge range is actually ridiculous. I saw some pretty wacky stuff when my teammate got melee’d

Gotta say I’m disappointed. I know they’re tech tests but I have completed one game as the rest kept crashing and had to end in task manager on PC. Now I’m banned for some reason? Kind of a mess. I hope these flights improve before release.

Instant double melee needs to be patched out of the game.
