Has anyone run into an issue where you aim and all of a sudden it unaims?
SANDBOX
- The AR is way, way too strong. Either the per-bullet damage needs to be reduced, or the accuracy needs to be reigned in. As it stands the AR is dominant at almost every range in these maps, and combining that with the reduced range of radar (touched on later) means that you can sprint around the map CoD style and rush zones while spraying with the AR and succeed. Defeats any point of map/zone control. - Weapon balance overall needs tuning. Beyond the AR just being overpower, the Sidekick can outclass the BR and Commando in most situations unless you nail every single shot. TTK’s should be adjusted upwards to be more inline with BR/Commando (~1.5 and above). Otherwise the meta will be AR/Sidekick and the importance of map pickups will be sidelined. - Radar range is far too narrow. It’s nice that movement shows up normally now, but the reduction of range from 20m to 18m has all but nullified that change. Far too often you check the radar and see its clear only to have someone assassinate you a second later because they were just outside the range. With the increased movement possibilities (sprint, slides, grappleshot, repulsor boosts, thrusters) the radar needs to be put back to the Reach level of 25m with movement tracking. Also go back to the dot/arrow way of showing Z position instead of this weird “bright red” way of showing position. - Explosion physics need to return. Currently there’s no way to grenade/rocket jump because the explosions do not cause much knockback at all. Bring back the traditional Halo explosion physics (150% setting).
Is progress in halo infinite insider kept in our account when the game will be released?
Largely quite pleased with the experience after my first day with Social Arena yesterday.
At the beginning of the morning, it was fairly choppy, with enough latency issues to make using precision weapons with the default sensitivity settings a struggle, but the lag steadily seemed to clear and was running pretty steadily by the fourth hour of the first session. The evening play session started running off about as smoothly as the morning session ended, and managed to stay that way with only a few latency hiccups.
The basic weapon loadout feels well-rounded, with the Sidekick properly supplementing the Assault Rifle rather than overshadowing it, and together feeling like enough to still put up a fight against better weapons at close-to-mid range.
Love the loading bars on the weapon spawners, they definitely help facilitate getting a handle on map awareness, especially when joining a game mid-match.
With the lowered bullet magnetism and aim-assist, and the body-part-specific shield flaring upon landing a hit I appreciate how much more satisfying the general shooting and landing headshots are.
Really not a fan of the lack of allied player collision, friendly fire, or the severely reduced acceleration physics from explosions/gravity hammer pulses/etcetera, which feels particularly strange given that they already exist in-game in the form of the Repulsor. These are easily the most egregious things as far as game feel is concerned.
Wasn’t part of the first flight so I can’t say how the “motion tracker” radar compared to the previous “threat tracker” radar, but I think its inception in this flight is just about spot on, though some slight indicators for elevation probably wouldn’t go amiss. A game mode toggle for swapping between the motion-based and threat-based modes would also be cool.
The IFF outlines could use some opacity tuning and maybe be more contextual in regards to distance and objects or lack thereof in the line-of-sight.
The melee combo glitch is a fun nod back to Halo 2, but ultimately something I hope is patched out.
Will need to see what my thoughts are after today’s sessions.
when i press on the multiplayer it never laods
Last night (9/24) matchmaking was perfect, no issues. However, it is impossible to find a social game, I am stuck on an infinite loading UNSC symbol.
Currently on an Xbox One X, this issue just appeared today (9/25) hopefully this can be resolved quickly as I have been loving the game so far.
- Biggest concerns so far is the random connection issue when mantling a ledge, I sometimes get a lag spike and teleport either up or down from the ledge.
- No performance based XP doesn’t fee right either, especially when most challenges currently can’t be completed due to the game modes available currently.
- SENSITIVITY!!! I can’t stress this enough, controller needs a higher sensitivity cap, especially with cross play now. It’s hard to compete against someone doing 360s when I am at max sensitivity and acceleration yet still cant keep up. Either an adjustment to controller sense options or a bump in the increments.
Other than those few things it’s been amazing and I cant wait for more!
Enjoyed playing the beta last night too. Fairly smooth.
I know it’s probably too late to code for now but would love to be able to somehow filter by latency. Turned on the network stats last night and noticed a lot of the games were over 80ms. I know it would take longer to get into a match if we limited latency but would be willing to wait a bit longer to get a lower pinging games if possible please.
Shotgun seems a bit useless from the couple of times I used it. You can melee someone a lot quicker then putting a couple shots into them with the shotty. Didn’t have a ton of time with it to fully vet though.

It’s something that applies to all gametypes available, but player identification is a real problem for new players to the franchise.
I’m not sure what game language I grasped here, but I found enemies to largely be easy to identify, if a but harder than average. But my wife gave it a try, with some solid gaming expertise, but less on Halo than me.
She regularly approaches enemies without realizing they are hostile, often even assuming they are friendly.
The red outline glow needs to be a bit more visible on enemies. There is only a space at about 5 metres away that the outline is clearly defined. Any closer, and it vanishes so you can see custom armour. Any farther, and it drops down to what looks like 1 pixel wide, on a 65inch 4k tv.
I know customization is a big deal, and we want to show that flair in game. Personally, I love the fact Spartans are unique and not sharing unified colours, but there needs to be a way to more easily identify targets, as new players can’t differentiate friend and foe

awesome thanks for the information
Hey friends,
So first off I’m loving the preview thus far. Bringing back lots of memories from the early days of halo 2 and halo 3 and the excitement of those releases!
I have a question out of curiosity for people who run xbox with mouse and keyboard.
Is anyone else having lag issues using mouse and keyboard? My keyboard and binds all work great but my mouse doesn’t seem to be able to aim(using Logitech 502 hero wired mouse). As soon as I switch to a controller it works flawlessly.
Let me know if anyone else had encountered this bug.
See you out there
so far everything feels good. The AR feels a little overpowered but all I have been able to play is with bots because of not being able to get into a game even at the times it’s open. hope I get to play it sometime this weekend. Is anyone having the same issue?

Seems like a lot of people, on console at least, are having server issues and can’t connect to arena at all.
However, I did see someone say it should be resolved within the next hour if that helps.
Series X 9-24-21
thank you to 343 for allowing me to beta test this technical flight.
Pros
- Everything runs rather smoothly no issues yet. - great job 343 with the slayer social arena. Cons
<ul class=“ul1”> - Location of grapple shot on recharge is a sneaky place to move it too. - Issues with server connections[/list]
I believe that the bazaar map could use some reworks. There are sides that are only accessible from one side making it very difficult to take. Maybe adding the grapple hook to the map would allow you to reach the window on the side making the the spot having more entrances.

Try now, I’m getting into a game within a minute of searching.
I was on a match yesterday, and it seems under certain circumstances, when you reload the MA40, the reload animation plays twice. Not sure how to trigger it yet, but I think it can happen if I immediately sprint right at the end of the first reload, but I don’t think it’s a reload cancel, because it’ll replay the animation while I’m sprinting.
Opening intros in matchmaking are useless, please remove them

Thank you! I figured out that for some reason switching weapons wasn’t bound to a button
Please remove AR start on BAZAR. The games are not fun when playing on a map that is clearly designed to use longer-range weapons.
The only good news was Bazar felt amazing playing CTF despite having an AR start. As the whole dynamic of the map changes, the play style when around a clear objective instead of a camp festival holding high ground with limited Rifle spawns.
