> I have tested 5120x1440p at fullscreen and at windowed 2560x1440p, as well as low and ultra. The difference is maybe 8 FPS and am sitting at approximately 35FPS with a AMD 6800 XT Using the newest drivers.
Game isn’t even running in proper full screen. Gpu not getting anywhere near 100% usage on my 3090 getting 40fps lol
Sometimes when joining a game in progress there is a bug where the hud and crosshair are disabled the entire game. Also the game audio is a bit quieter and hollow when this happens.
Just for reference, I’m running a 3700x, 16GB of RAM, a 3080, installed on a NVMe drive with Windows 11 Insider. I am using the latest drivers.
I’m having fun getting an early look at the game and this thread is already full of similar performance issues, but I figure I might as well add another experience and configuration to the pot.
I’ve been seeing long and very inconsistent load times both on startup and entering matches.
Also seeing very strange in game performance. On 1080p Low, I was maintaining about 65-70fps. That’s not great, but what’s extra not great is that switching to 1440p Ultra later got me 75-80 (and still looked pretty fuzzy)? In the training range I had a smooth 100+fps experience… once? Moving on to the next weapon it went back down to 65-70. General performance regardless of fps has had the ‘feel’ of low fps with mouse response.
I’m seeing wild fluctuations in GPU utilization, spiking to 90% and crashing down to 25% rapidly the whole time. CPU utilization seems pretty consistent at about 45-50%. Hopeful that we’ll see some hefty optimizations made before any future PvP flight, as it would be hard to be competitive with this performance.
Getting a few bugs in the customization menus, mainly armor colors or prosthetics being mis-selected, and the battle pass gave me the option to buy after already buying. Joining a match seems to lock up in loading and kick me back to the menu about 25% of the time. Had a handful of matches where the tab button wasn’t pulling up the scoreboard.
All said, I expect optimization and Nvidia driver support to remedy 90% of this, and am looking forward to seeing more.
The screen goes blurry sometime when zooming in with magnum
Being forced to unscope when shot feels really bad IMO
Sometimes enemy and friendly gun sounds seem to be suppressed/quiet even when close by
Im sure its because the game is still being made and its an older build but he optimisation needs work. With a 3070ti on 1440p I was getting 40-60 fps on lowest settings. Where as even on more visually demanding games id get 100+
Very much enjoying the preview. Not noticing any performance issues with a Ge force RTX 2060 super, i5-9600k and 16 GB ram (in 1080P- Medium).
Only experienced crashes twice, and that was with a very specific instance. When sprinting (Hold- shift) if I try to slide (Hold- CTRL) or swap grenades (Alt) this changes my computers language, instantly causing the game to CTD. This is repeatable, even in the menus.
Had some games where shots weren’t connecting where they should, or clear misses were hitting, as well as some laggy bits with the bots. But overall vast majority of games were positive over a 4 hours span
A couple bugs I have found so far, not sure if these are already known. When I quit out of the game and go back in, my settings are completely different. Almost default but not quite. I noticed that FOV was set at 70 and I think default is 78 but I play at 110. Also, sometimes when loading into a match, gun sound volume is reduced, even though no settings were changed.
Bugs -
Settings regularly reset when relaunching the game. In my experience so far only Keybinds and sensitivity are effected.
Some Gameplay audio volume reduced when joined a game in progress
Quality of Life / Accessibility Improvements -
Uniform Aiming:
Zoom Sensitivities of 1.0 should match standard mouse sensitivity. Instead zoom sensitivity feels slower even though I have 1.0 Mouse and 1.0 zoom sensitivity.
Having tons of fun with the game! My only gripes so far is that the resolution setting of 1920x1080 looks really blurry, despite running it on a 1080p monitor. Game is a bit framey, running at most at 80 fps on low everything. It also tats several retries to find a game, however I assume it was just because of how overloaded the servers were last night.
Before I start, I’m playing on steam, also delete if this is posted in the wrong place.
I just joined a match, started to print(I have it so I hold it not toggled) I then pressed tab as I am in the habbit in most games of checking who I am playing with. Doing this brought up steam’s overlay. When I closed this and went back to game I then had no in game HUD, no reticle, health bar, map nothing. Also then unable to see the scoreboard as well.
I tried to replicate this to get the HUD back but nothing worked, was stuck like that for the rest of the match. I then tried it again the next match and it was fine, I would have filled out a support ticket, but it happened the once. So if I encounter it again I will fill one out.
Anyone else had any issues similar to this and losing their HUD?
In regards to UI, I found playing around with customizations is that the picture for items would be inaccurate or pop in and out as I moved about the UI. An example was I went to change armor color and I viewed the blue color and then went to the next one and instead of loading red or whatever it was, it would still show the blue pallet at the top left despite showing my armor in the selected color. Or the pallet picture wouldn’t be there.
Another item I noticed while playing with prosthetics customizations, I selected the leg prosthetics to see what it looked like, then went back to standard and even though the setting was showing none/standard, the spartan was still showing the prosthetic legs.
I was invited and received this notification:

I have not seen halo infinite on my Xbox Insider Hub on pc. I will see if its actually on xbox instead but I dont know why that would be because it says pc right there. the links on the invite are broken and I do not know why it says halo 2 haha. If anyone can help me or at least explain any problems I would appreciate it.
I play on a SuperUltrawide monitor (32:9 at 5120x1440) and I have noticed that the game is not set up for ultrawides in menus in customization along with the beginning of matches where it shows all of the players in the game. During these things the top of the screen gets cut off to the point where I can’t see helmets. Minor issue considering nothing seems to be cut off in game
