Hey 343, will there be a distinction or a possibility of changing the -Yoink!- of our male and female spartan? or it just boils down to body type, I think most Halo fans would like them to be distinguished in a similar way as in halo reach or halo 5.

pc performance NEEDS some work im on a 3070 and on low settings i was getting 50-60 fps. this is almost unplayable for an arena shooter. makes me worried for the campaign.

343 I have enjoyed it as I do not have an idea having a 1050ti I saw how the game looked beautiful in every detail I do not know how they did it but I can tell you that their game has __enormous potentia__l that they must take advantage of at all costs.
The graphics with the card that I handle that is not the best in the market ran the game very well, the loading points I can say that they were very slow to the point that sometimes I had to wait 5 minutes or more, the union with other friends the Most of the time it was impossible to join the game, I don’t know if it’s because of the crossplay, when looking for a game it took a long time to join or I just didn’t join many times.

Loves what you guys are doing with the game. I wish the flight wasn’t just fighting bots though.

Wish yall would go back to a 1 - 50 ranking system instead of the Bronze through diamond ranking system. It doesn’t feel like your working for anything through that ranking system.

I personally think that there need to be some changes for KB/M to be viable in multiplayer vs Controllers.

My suggestion would be to atleast TRY to make the pistol play like halo 5s pistol(maybe next flight) and see how that compares to right now, since the pistol inaccuracy, firerate all hugely favour controllers.

I believe that a slower firerate, higher damage pistol will make gunfights more fair and skilled for both controllers and KB/M.

I’m a semi pro CSGO player and have been a Halo fan for all my life, I can bring my experience to you guys and help make the game more balanced for both inputs

Had settings on High and struggled to hit 60FPS on pre-patch while post patch had me around 65-70FPS. Game definitely has its optimization issues that I’m assuming is due to the older build. Also, settings and FOV always seemed to reset every time I launched it… was this intentional?

Only complaint I had with the flight was my settings being reset once I closed the game out, outside of that I had a smooth experience!

After playing through the course of the flight i had moments where it felt butter smooth and moments where i was struggling to stay above 30fps.

The gameplay felt fantastic it was honestly a breath of fresh air after only playing the older halo titles on the 360 and pc MCC, taking what was fun with the originals and modernizing it. I personally only played the halo 5 beta but wasn’t to impressed with it so i ended up playing reach, 4 and 3 for ages.

The gun play felt great in the infinite flight and was personally worried about the equipment system, i like the fact that most of the equipment’s aren’t too over powered compared to some of the others in previous tittles, however i feel like there should be a cooldown so you aren’t able to use a active camo for instance and be able to instantly pick up another equipment and use that straight after.

I was worried about the addition of the grapple hook like many others, but after using it quite a few times i have become to love it, never knew i needed this in a halo game.

The map designs were great and ran decently but i’m sure you guys have been working on optimization since.

My only issues during the flight was i had some major fps issues to start with which lowering settings from Ultra/High to Medium/Low had hardly no effect to fps maybe a 2-3 and lowering Res scale helped a bit but all was fixed once you guys released a patch and was able to play on Ultra/High on 56-60fps with out many frame drops for the rest of the flight.

Thanks for listening to the community with our complaints and feedback i honestly feel like you guys have killed it with infinite so far! Can’t wait for future flights and to finally get my hands on infinite during release later this year!

Absolutely loved the flight overall, tons of fun, and I’m now even more hyped for Infinite!

The weapon drills were great, and were a great place to get the hang of new weapons.

The sprint felt very weird at first, but once I understood that it’s less for actually getting somewhere faster, and more for sliding and schmovement, I liked it!
The grappling hook was also VERY fun.

And everything sounded absolutely incredible, 10/10.

The UI is very clean overall, though it would be nice to be able to rotate your spartan with your mouse on every page of the customization menu.
Also, it having the battle pass and challenges be viewable without having to leave the matchmaking section post-game would be another great feature.

For Pc the game for where it is in development ran extremely impressive! Gameplay felt smooth, there few to none when it came to stutters. Very rarely experienced anything that messed up the smoothness the game had provided to me. Very well done guys! Only complaint I have has to do with the FPS. I have a 2070 super ( I know, it’s an older GPU) But only being able to get 85-90 fps on the lowest settings feels a bit wrong. I feel like I should be able to get more, but hey maybe my GPU is getting outdated. Impressive job!

In terms of PC specific things:

  • I struggled to maintain 70+ FPS for most of the flight on a Ryzen 9 3900x with a 2080 Super, and 32GB of RAM regardless of settings. Near the end I could get about 100, but it was still less than I probably should be getting. - There is no option to remove a keybind. With triple keybinds I would expect to be able to “Delete” one that I don’t need. - Game Volume would reset upon restartingGeneral Feedback:

  • Gravity Hammer needs to actually affect players physics wise - Players should have collision - I think that the mulitkill medals should change to be more like the old medals - Player Outlines were either too strong or too weak.

After participating in the technical preview, this is a list of the things that I noticed aside from performance issues:

  • Constantly removed from queue or sent back to the playlist menu - Stuck on loading screen and end up getting kicked from game due to inactivity - Fireteam list popping in and out of the menu - Crashing after changing binds - Battle pass and store not showing item previews - Selection does not apply when customizing - Marines in the background of the customize menu - BUTLR AI missing skin - FOV resetting after exiting to desktop - Spawning away from usual point/rest of the team at the start of the game - Drop wall blocks pings - Spartan poses - Camera issues while sliding - Spartan chatter falls behind actual player’s location - Bots will freeze up but continue to shoot in the direction they are facing, happens a lot after they pick up a weapon - No bots spawned in game - Area of affect from the gravity hammer seems a bit off (not sure if it is intended). Might be due to hit-reg problems with meleeI understand this is only a technical preview and there will be problems of course. Overall, my experience with it was great. I had a lot of fun and the sounds have to be my favorite part of the game so far. Definitely looking forward to the next flight and checking out BTB if that is included!

First of all, thank you for including me on this flight. It was an enjoyable experience and honestly an honour to be a part of the future of Halo. This game has revived faith in the franchise and that is something great to see.
Here is my feedback regarding my experience in the flight:
PRIMARY PC ISSUES
-Poor optimization for PCs. Depending on my settings FPS would drop to 10/18-30FPS when my window size was 1920x1080 and resolution 1075x605. I am using a RTX 3060 with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600.
-Had a bug where I would load into a game and my Assault Rifle would automatically fire and deplete its clip, and switching to the sidekick would fire off one round then would not allow you to fire but both can be reloaded and then repeats the process.
WEAPON FEEDBACK
-Grav Hammer melee is really clunky and slow, which makes it pointless to use if you are out of ammo.
-Gravity effects from the hammer should be worked on.
-Bring grenade jumps back.
-Plasma pistol bolt tracking should be improved as it was rare I ever hit a player to drop their shields.
-Lower shield wall deployment time and buff its defences.
-Ravager secondary fire did not seem to do anything and therefore making it pointless? Perhaps make it so that it can gradually deplete shields when a player is standing in it or damage their health.
GAMEPLAY FEEDBACK
-Slide distance up slightly.
-Sprint speed slightly up, just by a few percent adjustments to make it a worthwhile option for movement instead of walking everywhere at essentially the same speed.
-Spartan bots were less of a challenge than ODST.
-There should be collision between players.
UI FEEDBACK
-Display the number of task swaps left in inventory for daily challenges.
-Test audio option for AI voices.
-Display scoreboard after matches on the team lineup.
OTHER
-Make an elite AI voice that audibly says “Blargh, Wort, etc.,” but has subtitles for “Active camo up”. Would be a hilarious homage to RVB.

I played on PC, steam
First thing I want to mention was a cross platform (PC to Xbox) party which felt really wonky
-VOICE CHAT! Being enabled by default kinda sucked but I was in a game and me and a friend of mine were in a party together, not realising I had an open mic in game and was speaking both in my party and in game at the same time, only reason I noticed was someone responded to me in text.
And in the game after, I’m pretty sure if you’re in a party it doesn’t always keep you in one when you start the game, since I could hear them while in my own party, had no way to mute them that I could find, and they could not hear me (after re enabling my microphone). But I could hear every word of their very private conversation

-Out of game, there are so many issues, I get error messages doing literally anything, none of the images worked almost at all, only a few coatings. The rest were just blank boxes, same for playera you recently played with, the UI is just kinda ugly, and it felt awkward to navigate though I’m not sure if it was just me. Using exp boosters showed me a time but the second I left the screen it disappeared and couldn’t get it back so I had no idea how long I had left on my boost. Also finding a match and actually putting me in one had a 50% chance to fail and boot me solo or with a friend, they were on Xbox and rarely had the issue.

To be honest despite some of the issues and i really enjoyed the gameplay, and hopefully get into the next flight too!

I usually play apex legends on my rx570, getting 75 fps while streaming and if i play in arenas mode i get over 144 i know this is a 2 years old game but get 30/45 fps in halo infinite is really so sad, i been waiting for this game for 3 years and is so sad that i can play as i should be played

First off I just wanna say that I loved flighting infinite on PC, I am running a RTX 3070, i7 9700k, and 32GB ram. I couple things that I did not get a chance to make a ticket for, 1st is that I had multiple times where after restarting the game all my custom keyboard mappings would be reset to default, then second is on the last day of flighting the Tab button stopped bringing up the scoreboard during a match, I checked the key mappings and it was still properly mapped to Tab as I never changed it, then I tried changing to something else and back to Tab for the mapping, and everytime re-mapping the Tab key to the scoreboard would completely crash the game. Other than those it was great, I averaged around 70 - 90 fps.

> Playing controller on PC, it feels a little clunky and slow. The screen shake slider doesn’t eliminate screen shake completely, I know you are going for the feeling that we are actually sprinting but it’s just distracting. Most of the guns feel a little off and need slight accuracy changes in my opinion. The default AR needs a slight damage increase to make up for the bloom it has. A huge thing that needs to change before the game goes live is the boosts to xp ticking even when you are in lobby. Other games do this and honestly it’s just toxic. The player shouldn’t be penalized for slow matchmaking times. if you feel that makes the double xp too powerful make them for less time but run only during a match. Shows you care about balance and the player. Right now the only gun that feels good is the pistol and I’m sure you will be able to tell that’s what most of us are using. This absolutely does not mean it needs nerfed it just means that the other guns need balanced around the pistol. It feels like classic Halo gunplay. This is only my first impressions after 2.5 hours of gameplay I’ll update my feedback throughout my flight. Hopefully you take these things into consideration. Also in case my bug report gets lost in the sauce I’ll put it here as well, when you tab out and come back the audio bugs out and some things end up muffled.

Did you increase your FoV? Screen shake was eliminated for me; however, the Headbob while sprinting was not and was very aggressive at lower FoV as it isn’t scaled. Increased FoV suppressed the headbob/sway that was dizzying at base FoV

My only other real PC specific problem was just some issues with key binds and settings resetting.

  • Some key binds just wouldn’t work at all like trying to bind T to text chat.

  • Custom binds would sometimes reset after exiting the game.

  • You are unable to delete a key bind without replacing it with something else.

  • FOV resets everytime after restarting the game. This only happens on PC

  • Weapon offsets reset after restarting the game most of the time. Pretty sure this only happens on PC as well but i may be wrong.

  • Trying to rebind scoreboard crashes the game
