Today’s update improved performance a bit on my hardware. AMD Ryzen 5 2600x, 16GB of DDR4 ram, GTX 1650 4GB VRAM. Latest NVIDIA Drivers, Windows update, etc.
Yesterday I was maintaining 35-45 FPS on medium, even in the shooting range, but todays update has improved it and I am maintaining 60 FPS. Even with a lot of activity with bots, it didn’t do much to my performance. So good job y’all! <3
I’ve experienced a hard-lock after completing a shooting range challenge, needing to close the game via task manager.
UI is still flickering, I’m assuming it’s not via the length of playtime, but alt-tabbing out of the game. That or potential problems with screen sharing via Discord.
Overall everything is feeling better, I do hope with further optimization I can at least play the game at high settings.
Again, good work 343! This flight is outstandingly good, even with the bumps in the way. I haven’t experienced much problems other than iffy performance and the occasional hard-crashes. Guess I’m lucky, lol.
Pros
Guns feels impactful, everything’s unique and doesn’t feel like a reskin over the other.
Gunplay is fun, solid, and you feel excited to end up in combat when someone starts shooting at you.
Movement is fast and smooth, though it’s a Halo game, I love this aspect and it works.
Customization is awesome!
Bots offers you a challenge and aren’t a total pushover.
Assault Rifle actually feels viable and isn’t absolutely useless anymore Issues I’ve encoutered
Poor performance and crashes occur often.
Not able to inspect items in store or customization by hovering over with Mouse
Not able to rotate Spartan in the “Body & AI” menu.
Occasional graphical glitches, flickering and stuttering.
In Spartan Hall’s customization menu if you scroll far enough, the different armor piece tabs start to flicker with graphical artifacts.

Has anyone else noticed that when they get de-scoped in combat that their in scope sensitivity carries over outside of the scope action for a moment? Sometimes when using a br or sniper for instance, what would normally be a small cursor adjustment in scope turns into a 45 degree turn upon being de-scoped. feels really bad. My mouse dpi is 800 and in game sensitivity is 1.6, all zoom sensitivity at 1 and all aim assist is toggled off for me in case that has something to do with it

Poor hit reg or “ghost hitmarkers” in bot matchmaking with at least the sidekick. In drills it takes 9 bodyshots to kill with sidekick then multiplayer its like 11. Almost like I’m getting hitmarkers but no actual hits.

FPS may show as ~80-90, but my 99% is consistently showing 20-40FPS.
Again, no issues yesterday, have restarting computer since as well.

So far, the game has run better than most people have said FPS-wise. I have set the minimum FPS to 144 and max to 144 to see what I could get, and I’m allegedly getting a consistent 100FPS in game. However, the frames stutter for sure and it feels clunky. When I run around in game, the screen lags quite frequently.
The game has crashed a handful of times, both in game and not in game. When it crashes, my controller settings are reset, but i don’t think everything is reset. My audio settings do not, for example.
Not sure if anyone on PC is experiencing the same, but every time I start the game, I always have to adjust the FOV. I enjoy it at 120 and the default puts you below 70.
No longer able to swap grenades or change the input for switching grenades? Whenever I attempt to do either of those things my game just straight up crashes.

Curious how you’re checking your 99% fps? Don’t think I’ve done this before
(The game takes a long time to load, it stays in the black screen with three dots for up to ten minutes before actually getting to the main menu, I always open the game with the Task Manager open to see the progress and it’s always stuck, I don’t know if it’s a server problem or my PC but it’s strange.) After today’s update the game loads much faster. - The game never reaches a high FPS, I played around with the settings but it doesn’t seem like they have any effect, granted my PC isn’t the best but I can still play most games pretty well. - A follow up to the issue above, even at low it fails to reach a good FPS so the matches feel sluggish and slow. - There are some server issues like finding a game and then getting disconnected. - Sometimes the shop doesn’t show any images, just the name of the items. - The game keeps resetting my mouse sensibility - Sometimes when you exit the shop or the armory, the screen stays grey. - I pressed alt-tab when the game was getting into the match, when I went back I only had the voice sounds and no other sounds. - Game freezes if you alt-tab too much and makes you open it again after today’s update. - Game has been freezing a lot with this new update so I can barely finish one match before having to open the game again. - Even at 50% of scaling the game still runs pretty bad on my PC and with minimum FPS active at 59 FPS. - All in all, graphics settings have no effect whatsoever in the game’s performance. Gameplay Issues:
The Needler sound is so low at first I didn’t think it had any. - I feel like the aim is kinda laggy, I raised my sensitivity but still felt it was kinda slow, but it might just be me and a matter of time before I find that sweet spot. - (The bots don’t seem to melee you even if you are pretty close to them.) It appears they do, maybe they just didn’t want to melee me before. - Bots are too sparse and too few, maybe if they lower the spawn time the matches would feel more engaging. General Feedback:
Lower the respawn time of both players and bots, this will make the matches feel more engaging and interesting, I spend way too much time looking for enemies. - Put more creative colors in the shop, they don’t feel creative and instead just bland and uninteresting. - Let me change my Spartan voice, they do talk more than Chief so it would be cool to be able to change it. - The shield wall takes a little too much time to activate, sometimes making it useless, or maybe I’m just too slow. - The bots are pretty good, it’s fun playing with them and sometimes they feel better than some players (me included), but I noticed they usually follow the same path and sometimes they stop and stare at nothing. - When reaching a new Battlepass level, it just doesn’t give me the happiness kick that some games do, it feels boring, maybe add some sounds and effects whenever you get a rank and also show the player what they got with that level on the screen. - An option to hear an AI’s voice and personality when customizing your Spartan would be good.
Every time I load the game the fov is reset, it also seems to happen at random after a match. There was also an instance where the entire hud was gone for the whole match.

im playing on pc, (rtx 3070, ryzen 7 3800x, 32gb ram, 2tb ssd m.2)
the first day the game runs excelent, i get 144fps in 1440p, but today update make my game a trash, 30fps in 1440p, ultra graphics not supported but the first day was available, also when i try to bind a key to score the game crash always, this also happen when i try to bind more key to my mouse buttons besides that the game looks great and its fun to play!

> I’m using the GeForce performance overlay (available because I have an NVIDIA GPU) - I pull it up via ALT+R (ALT+Z pulls up the main ‘menu’ where you can customize how much info it displays).

Thanks, never seen the fps tab on that haha. yeah my 99% FPS is extremely low too. Hovers around 30-50fps
