I have seen how the game can look on my series x… Unfortunately any time I turn the settings past low, everything turns into a blurry mess. Even on low, I have to keep the framerate locked to 72 for the game to be any semblance of playable.
I am running a Ryzen 3700x and a 3070. I hope this gets fixed soon.

This is visible at 90° as well from certain movements/angles
So, about ODST Bot Slayer Difficulty. I had a great surprise when i was walking like if it was the same bot difficulty from yesterday and got wipe out the first time, i died a lot more in this settings (Not sure if it’s because the game wasn’t smooth as yesterday on my rigg)
Bots are more efficient, hiting really hard if you’r not at cover, more reactive as well, AND THE NADES, i died so many times when i was hiding waiting my shield to go up and took a nade in my family jawels ! I stack a lot more with my team mates to be sure to at least not being surrounded by bots ! Overall it’s a good point !
I feel like i got flanked multiple times when in fight, idk if it’s true hasard or if it’s the AI behavior or bad spawn timing ! But if they can flank, that’s really nice !
Matches are still really one sided from my experiences, i die more, it’s true, but overall the team still manage to do a 50 - (10~20) on the scoreboard.
I played a little less than yesterday so maybe this information isn’t right but i felt like Bots hit harder but have less evades movements ? I should try more and edit later !
I think you are on the good way with the AI, i’ll surely try Spartan difficutly huhuhu!
PS: About the nades, maybe i was so focus on my aim but, there is any indicator about grenades ?
Vega 56, My gpu cant use more than 80% usage with frequent dips down to 20% usage. Drivers are 21.6.1 so there as up to date as they can be. This pretty much results in an unplayable game even when im at 60-70fps the drops every 20ish seconds down to 20fps make it a stuttery mess, no graphics settings result in any better performance either.
Just streamed the game for a couple hours and encountered the following issues:
Voice / Chat settings do not carry over between matches. I turned of the voice chat in one match, when entering another game I could hear the voice chat from other players again. The Audio tab in Settings did not change so it still showed it as “off”. I turned the chat back and and off again and it remained off for that match, this had to be repeated in each game.
I only got put into one on going match however in upon joining certain parts of the audio was muted or very quite. Most noticeable was the music and the sounds from guns and grenades. Voice lines were still at normal volume.
At one point my whole system lost all sound, I couldn’t hear anything from any source and the steam couldn’t hear me either. Unsure if that’s something more specific to me and my system however that hasn’t happened before so may be related to H:I.
Enjoyed the first bit of the preview a ton. The gameplay feels great and the style feels locked in. On a pretty decent system and a 240hz monitor, I was originally able to stay at around 40-50 fps at full 1440p, no resolution scaling. This felt good, but I was hoping to maintain AT LEAST 60fps.With minimum fps set to 60 or anywhere closer to 120+ which would be ideal, I couldn’t tell much difference in the specific variables themselves, but having the minimum fps set anywhere was the only setting I tested that had a MAJOR impact on performance and would allow me to maintain better performance, more around 55-62fps or so. This makes sense, since it’s utilizing dynamic resolution scaling, but it causes most frames to end up looking pretty fuzzy to maintain speed. For the first part of the flight, this was fine and I would switch between performance or graphics, but the update today has caused the game to perform much worse overall and has caused pretty major stuttering regardless of settings really. I’m curious to hear about others’ experiences. Here are my specs:
CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i7-10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz (16 CPUs), ~3.8GHz - GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB - RAM: 32GB DDR4 memory running at 2700MHz - STORAGE: 1TB Samsung Evo 970 Pro SSD M.2 drive*fov was at 105 for 99% of this testing btw. Default fov helped a bit, but not enough to be worth sacrificing the view
First off - Fantastic technical preview thus far: Keep it up 343.
I’m well aware that users having their microphones set to “always on” is a known bug with the Technical Preview, but it would be nice if we have a “mute player” or “mute all” button upon joining a game even after this bug is fixed. I’ve tried looking for this in the PC settings keyboard shortcuts, but nothing exists.
So much of the time when people use voicechat they’re not even using it strategically, and giving the player the option to the player to mute a specific player or the entire voicehat with a single button press would be a godsend. You can have a microphone with an X next to my name to indicate that I’ve muted one or more players on my team (just in case someone is indeed talking to me and is wondering why I’m not responding).
Nothing is more distracting then hearing someone breathing into their microphone and the echo of their game playing in the background, hearing a 10-year-old screaming his head off with every kill, or a salty ex-call-of-duty player complaining every time he dies because he doesn’t know Halo actually requires skill.
Not that us halo players have experienced any of the above 3 or more scenarios before

> Not a fan of being able to walk through other Spartans at all we need collision back it is important to halo, For example boosting your buddy to a ledge that you can’t reach with a normal jump/clamber or pushing your afk friend close to a ledge and you push him off when you hear him coming back just to goof.
>
> I kinda feel the same about bots there is an unspoken understanding in halo if you T-Bag at a living enemy and he T-Bags back you two are now best friends for the match… But you can’t do that with bots and that makes me kind of sad. I wouldn’t mind if bots were just in academy and ranked because I think their addition to halo is overall a good thing, especially for the academy new players can really benefit from that but I dont thing they have any place in social.
Agree 100% with the collision… As good as the core game play feels, boosting and team damage have always been a part of the halo experience. I hope with further iterations these are brought back in core game modes.
I also cannot wait for the multiplayer to be true multiplayer instead of bots. They will def be a good addition later on, but the matches are kinda boring without playing other real people.
I also mentioned this once before, but the performance on PC is really pushing me to just play on my series x. I have the latest nvidia drivers, and made sure that windows was completely updated. Not sure what the problem is here but the performance seems unacceptable for a release. I hope this gets ironed out before the game comes out.

> I’m sure this has been covered by plenty of people but figured I might as well add mine in as well. AMD optimization is tragic. I played for 45 minutes on 1080p LOW settings and averaged 36 FPS. While playing in bot matches I was running at a pretty steady 25 FPS. Hopefully the next preview goes better.

To follow up on this, I played a little bit more today with Radeon software open so I could monitor what was going on. My gpu clock speeds were in the 500-600mhz range when this card should be clocking 2000+ under load.
When joining an already ongoing match of bot slayer the sound is very muted and muffled for the entire match. This is only present if you join late into a match.

My CPU is still sitting around 40% usage, GPU never breaks 70%. I’m getting 40-60fps and Live Fire seems to run significantly worse. I’m playing at 4K max settings with a 3080 and i7 8700k, both stock.
I know that Windows 11 is still in beta (released on the Beta channel a few days ago) but I’ve been switching between my Windows 10 and Windows 11 install and so far there is no difference so far in the gameplay/performance/issue between the two. Which is kind of expected but I thought it was interesting to know anyway.
Other than that, I got the usual issue the other players got (Windows 11 and Windows 10):
Technical Issues:
Low performance/stuttering on a decent build :
Amd 3800X
Amd 5700XT (Present on low and scaling set to minimum, driver updated with the latest release and I get around 45-50 FPS)
16 GB of ram
Game is installed on a 1 TB pci-e 4 SSD
FOV slider sometime reset - Random strange artifacts at the bottom of the screen.Preference issues:
Plasma pistol and needler could sound a bit more like in the other games but otherwise they work great. - I think my biggest concern is that the shield effect is really not appealing and seems like a step back from the other games. It’s hard to know when the shield of the enemy is down and the shield color makes it hard to know too.
-Gravity Hammer attacks should not be avoided by stepping to the side
-Optimization needs work
-Bots get hyper-accurate when switching to the sidekick and spam grenades
-Network lag
-I selected Lumu as my AI but still only heard Butler speak
-Some stutter and flickering
-Sometime I would get kicked out of the game randomly

> Playing controller on PC, it feels a little clunky and slow. The screen shake slider doesn’t eliminate screen shake completely, I know you are going for the feeling that we are actually sprinting but it’s just distracting. Most of the guns feel a little off and need slight accuracy changes in my opinion. The default AR needs a slight damage increase to make up for the bloom it has. A huge thing that needs to change before the game goes live is the boosts to xp ticking even when you are in lobby. Other games do this and honestly it’s just toxic. The player shouldn’t be penalized for slow matchmaking times. if you feel that makes the double xp too powerful make them for less time but run only during a match. Shows you care about balance and the player. Right now the only gun that feels good is the pistol and I’m sure you will be able to tell that’s what most of us are using. This absolutely does not mean it needs nerfed it just means that the other guns need balanced around the pistol. It feels like classic Halo gunplay. This is only my first impressions after 2.5 hours of gameplay I’ll update my feedback throughout my flight. Hopefully you take these things into consideration. Also in case my bug report gets lost in the sauce I’ll put it here as well, when you tab out and come back the audio bugs out and some things end up muffled.
Per my first post on the stuttering and lag since the last update. I decided to play with some graphic settings and see if low, medium or high, down from ultra would make a difference. None of these changes seem to matter with the current problem. Not sure what else I can do, but for the time being I wont be able to test anything else its just not playable. Hopefully this is a problem they are aware of because it seems other are also having this same problem.
Specs

I have 2 graphics cards installed on the machine, and only use my nvidia geforce rtx 2060 for gaming (yeah I know it’s old, but still works on medium’ish settings for most games).
Main monitor, Samsung U32R590, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
Secondary monitor AMD FirePro V3900 (crappy thing that was lying around, and takes strain off the nvidia for dual monitors)When I launch the game, I get an error that it Failed to Create DirectX 12 Device for the following Adapter: AMD FirePro V3900, I DON’T USE THIS CARD FOR GAMING!!
How can I tell Halo Infinte to launch on the NVIDIA card?
Is it just me or do controller settings don’t save on PC?
Also another question Do i just post here about Visual bugs in the main menus of the game? I have found a decent amount. I already posted a forum about my findings, but if this where i should post it?
