- keybinds lost after game restart
- changing vehicle related keybinds crashes the game to desktop
- going to store from armory, buying an item, then backing out back to armory makes items not appear
- sometimes when joining a match while in a party my sound freaks out, becomes quiet on sound effects, and super loud with music
- UI button click sound is very sharp. It shouldn’t be tied to sound effects volume
- Armory UI needs to be better than a side scroll. I can imagine it being a nightmare to navigate years down the line.
- getting 30-40 fps usually on low settings with 5700XT
- commando rifle really shouldn’t be automatic
On my 1660 super, the frames dip a ton. I understand the game is unfinished at this time, but just wanted to put that out there. There was also a audio bug where the game sounded muffled and the voices of the spartans were the loudest part of the audio. As I level up on the battle pass, it stopped at level 2 for me yet I have been playing for hours. These are just some of the bugs I have encountered, but the game looks and feels great!

I have the same problem on my pc
got my emails. in halo infinite website it shows no new messages for download. no new notifications… i have NO idea how to download and try this weekend
The game seems pretty badly optimized. You’d think a 3080 could run this at over 100fps maxed out with 1440p… Nope! Running everything maxed at that resolution brings my fps to something like the 60s-70s…
Cpu: I7 9700k 5.1ghz
Ram: 16 gigs.
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080.
GPU Driver: 471.41.
M.2 MVME SSD.
Resolution: 2160x1440p.
Running 3080TI with an I-9 10900K with 32 gigs of ram and it seems to be super laggy at medium settings in game. I am running it on a 28" monitor with windowed fullscreen. Is there something in the setting that I need to change in order to get a smoother game play? Or is it something on the server side?
Hey, I was accepted into the flight and can’t get a steam code but my Xbox is working. I’ve tried signing in and out of HaloWaypoint and refreshing the page but it only shows the Xbox as active. Does that mean that I wasn’t accepted into the steam version of the flight? I was going to play on both to test as much as possible. Is there anyway to fix this?
I use an Azeron keypad with a mouse to play most games (these: Azeron Keypad - Joystick Keyboard Gaming!). It has a joystick that can either be an xbox analog stick, or act as wasd. Infinite actually handles using an analog stick with a mouse pretty well! But I notice that the UI that tells you what buttons to use (like the grenade button) flicker between xbox and pc controls.
Please let Halo Infinite use analog joystick for movement simultaneously with mouse aiming. More and more keypads have analog sticks on them. It is so close as is! Just clean up the UI to not flicker between the two. It feels so much better to have analog movement than wasd. Hopefully it plays nice if you have input restricted ranked playlists as well?

> Playing controller on PC, it feels a little clunky and slow. The screen shake slider doesn’t eliminate screen shake completely, I know you are going for the feeling that we are actually sprinting but it’s just distracting. Most of the guns feel a little off and need slight accuracy changes in my opinion. The default AR needs a slight damage increase to make up for the bloom it has. A huge thing that needs to change before the game goes live is the boosts to xp ticking even when you are in lobby. Other games do this and honestly it’s just toxic. The player shouldn’t be penalized for slow matchmaking times. if you feel that makes the double xp too powerful make them for less time but run only during a match. Shows you care about balance and the player. Right now the only gun that feels good is the pistol and I’m sure you will be able to tell that’s what most of us are using. This absolutely does not mean it needs nerfed it just means that the other guns need balanced around the pistol. It feels like classic Halo gunplay. This is only my first impressions after 2.5 hours of gameplay I’ll update my feedback throughout my flight. Hopefully you take these things into consideration. Also in case my bug report gets lost in the sauce I’ll put it here as well, when you tab out and come back the audio bugs out and some things end up muffled.
noticed that as well. screen shake slider is all the way down but still getting a little shake.
Hey all! I’m not sure how much of the feedback 343 is going to read, but I played for a good while and wanted to provide my initial thoughts.
I’m playing primarily with a controller and, although I haven’t played on console, it feels a little bit off. The guns themselves feel great to shoot, but the aiming and sensitivity just don’t feel right at this time. The default sensitivity is set at 4 which I thought would be fine but I ended up having to lower it drastically to feel like I was comfortable with my aim. If there’s something I hope is improved in later builds (and the final release) it’s this. A game can look gorgeous, but if it doesn’t feel right it’s not going to be as fun.
Additionally, and this may just be me, I feel like there’s a lot of talking going on. Between the announcer, the Spartans, the AI, and even the other players there was just a ton going on at once. I was able to alleviate this a bit by disabling the Spartans, but it still felt like a bit much sometimes. I actually really like the AI, and hope to see more varieties, but it currently feels like they cheer you on or talk a bit too much. These moments should be fun and somewhat special but when it happens every moment of the game the effect wears off fast. I’d like it more if the AI’s banter felt more meaningful. Example: I don’t need to keep hearing how great my pistol is throughout the match.
Lastly, I miss being able to handle my customizations from the pause menu rather than a dedicated tab on the home screen. Again, totally just my opinion, but I like the way it’s currently handled on the MCC and even other previous titles.
Thanks for letting us have a chance to preview the game. So far it’s pretty fun and it makes me look forward to the next flight and the full release.
The gameplay is really great for me as I’m new to Halo game (I do play other Halo game on PC a bit, but I didn’t like all of it movement, I like it in Infinite better movement in general feel smoother) but one thing still bug me is the sliding animation as I’m coming from games that have smoother slide animation (COD, Destiny). I respect If that is your design decision, but If that stay I would rarely found myself using it because It a bit clunky, at least for me It contribute nothing for my gameplay and I would rather use sprint to run away than slide.
FOV setting keep reset itself back, no fullscreen option only borderless fullscreen. Would be nice If I can know what kind of Anti-Aliasing you’re using for the game instead of low/medium/high.
I haven’t been able to play a match, I get to the main menu and if I rush to hun drills before it crashes I can okay that, but if I sit at the main menus for too long my Spartan will pop up and it’ll say I’m fireteam leader over I’m and over until it randomly says “you were unable to join the fire team” unfortunately this means you need to close the game entirely because if you select “ok” the same prompt pops up immediately.
Unfortunately, When ever my game boots up, I load the title screen for about 10 seconds and then it crashes. I am unable to play after troubleshooting in numerous ways. (yes and updating drivers and updating win 10). The only difference it made was allowing me to see the title screen for 15 seconds.
Specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Eight-Core Processor
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
16 GB Ram
“Gigabyte” MoBo
Running w/ an RTX 3070 FE w/ a ryzen 5 3600 16gb dual channel. and I can’t get over 60-70 FPS regardless of setting whether it be on ultra of low settings
i have a ryzen 5 5600x and a 6700xt hellhound, havnt touched any of the boosting or over clocks yet. would i be expecting 50fps-60fps on either low or high presets?
i just got the email to download and everytime i press the link it says an error and the page wont load anyone know why?
With v-sync off I get well over 120fps, but camera movement looks like 60 or less. Constant microstuttering maybe? I have a feeling not having an option to play in exclusive full screen is a possible cause. Also, I can only play 5-20 minutes before the game crashes. Running 7700k and GTX 1080 with latest drivers.

> I have tested 5120x1440p at fullscreen and at windowed 2560x1440p, as well as low and ultra. The difference is maybe 8 FPS and am sitting at approximately 35FPS with a AMD 6800 XT Using the newest drivers.
I found a great way to play the game, 800x600 gets me a stable 40 fps. on all low etc. I even put this game on my ssd for that SWEET next gen performance.
Maybe lets call blizzard to optimize the game?
ryzen 2700 x amd 6800. Lifes GREAT
Changing Push to talk key binding causes game to crash.
Framerate is really rough. Lowest settings, 3440x1440, on an RTX 3090 I can barely sustain 60-70FPS. GPU reports only being at 50% load.
On Ultra I see ~40FPS while in multiplayer.
Friends on a 1070 Ti, 1080p, high settings get better framerates than me. So this leads me to very poor GPU utilization or CPU bottleneck due to software.
Character customization isn’t very responsive. Clicking one customization brings up the wrong one sometimes. Equipping a customization isn’t straight forward either since I found that I need to click the small checkbox in the corner if the item panel.
Along with this the preview images look a little squashed. I’m not sure if it’s due to the angle and placement of the preview shots but they don’t look very good.
Every time I restarted my game my mouse sensitivity and FOV settings were reset to default.
Game load times are less than desired for a brand new game engine on an Gen4 NVMe SSD. But this could be due to having to wait for others to load in multiplayer. I’m unsure. It would feel good when Direct Storage is released for Windows that applicable users can instantly be put into a map with panning cameras with a waiting for players to load message. But I’m just having expectations for a modern game that’s built on a brand new custom engine.
Aiming is sometimes weird but is likely due to inconsistent framerates.
Weapon functions feel fine.
The bots are actually interesting. I feel like they know how to crouch dance. Throw grenades just before you so they detonate in the right area. Melee fairly quickly if you get too close. Don’t always magically know when you’re behind them. They’re generally pretty good in terms of actions they take. But definitely just walking target practice as it stands.
Higher difficulty bots could be made to strafe more aggressively. Jump unpredictably. Keep long distance sightlines when equipped with something like a sniper. And obviously be given a higher average accuracy rating with a more aggressive take on constantly firing, chasing targets, or moving towards cover and staying in cover. Maybe try to disengage if it breaks from a fight with little to no shields remaining.
Lastly I found the game to look about as good on Low as it does on Ultra. Which doesn’t bode well for lower end PC’s if it’s this rough to run. Especially when lowest settings take up 5.8GB of VRAM. Seeing as there’s silicon shortages and the USA still has an import tariff making new GPU’s even harder to get. This should be given a very serious look at before release or you’ve effectively cut out a huge amount of the potential playerbase.
Alongside this there’s increasingly bad aliasing issues the higher graphical settings you’re set on. So right now being on Lowest settings not only performs better, but it legitimately looks better.
