Tried playing some multiplayer, got an error ‘Dedicated Server not available’

> PERFORMANCE ISSUES - I have an RTX 2080 super and I am running the game on ultra with 80-90 fps. Even when I change the settings to high, medium, low etc It doesn’t affect the FPS I get.Personally, I would like at least 100 and the image sharpening tool in replacement for DLSS seems lackluster, clunky, and oddly blurry.

> - No option for Fullscreen just Borderless - Vsync option is capped below monitor refresh rate (mine is 144hz) - Loading screen times are very long, both to get into the game from launching and a match - On the rare occasion, players have spawned in before me cause I am still loading in.

> Overall definitely a stepping stone but needs optimization for PC for both AMD and even NVIDIA Cards. For PC gamers the lack of flexibility in changing options and seeing the FPS counter go up will cripple the number of people who can play a F2P title.
Good details on the post. I’m curious what resolution you are running since I have the same specs, but using a 120hz 3440 by 1440p ultrawide monitor. I’ve just been running V-Sync at 60 fps since I’m getting bad screen tear on the lower half of the screen.
has anyone had a problem on steam where the game wont launch? I will get to a screen with four dots and it just crashes right away. I verified the game folders and it comes up good but it still wont launch.

> When launching Halo Infinite I get stuck on black screen with 3 dots in the top left. Everything is fully up to date but it never pushes through to the main title screen.
Thats the placeholder loading screen, sometimes the game gets stuck in laoding loop
Can’t load into a multiplayer lobby, game is also very slow to start and load into the menu as well.
I noticed that I had low FPS until I raised the Minimum FPS to 85 or so. Then I was seeing better performance.
Game wont launch. Stuck on black screen with three dots, then crashes.
On steam, with a 980ti.
Loads of people with a 900 series card are reporting this, I think it’s happening to everyone.
I have created a ticket.
Running on gtx 1070 with a ryzen 5 card.
Playing on Pc the response seems lagged. When looking right to left I see screen shake. Playing with the mouse feels terrible to the point I plugged my controller in and found the game play much better which for me personally I don’t want to play pc with a controller. I found the same kind of issues with mouse keyboard with the mcc before recent patches.
Picked up the sniper and it was very slow horizontal adjusted in setting but the game def doesn’t feel like it was made for mouse and keyboard which is a major let down. Can they not make a game that makes mouse and keyboard feel as good as apex or even warzone?
I will continue to play but I can already tell unless major effort is made to make the pc mouse keyboard better this will not be a buy for me.
My specs
- Intel i7-8700K CPU 3.70GH - 32G ram - GTX 1070TiI am unable to get into the starting menu due to the game freezing before crashing after a few minutes. I assume this is due to my more lower end specs compared to nowadays graphics cards.
But what is odd is that if I were to start streaming the game to discord before my game freezes then the game will immediately crash instead of freezing then crashing.
Just find that a bit interesting.
EDIT:
OK, So it turned out my antivirus was screwing with the launching process for the tech preview. Once I made my antivirus not block the program from launching I was able to play just fine.
MAKE SURE THAT YOUR ANTIVIRUS ISN’T PREVENTING YOUR GAME FROM LAUNCHING.
Hello there!
Today I finally downloaded the tech preview of Halo Inifinte.
- When i opened the Game , first i saw , was a blackscreen with 3 little dots moving at the upper right corner. So i waited for 5-10 minutes but unfortunately nothing happens.
So I was experience a bit and found out that if i spam ESC and SHIFT, the game continues loading to the main menu !
The same happens when loading into a Match or Weapon Drills - Mode . - Long loading times to any Mode (Weapon Drill + Matchmaking)
- As many users mentioned before, i got heavy FPS Problems (Main Menu + Machtmaking and Weapon Drills) around 30-45 with drops to 18 FPS and peaks to 78 FPS. No matter which resolution I chose, the FPS reach its high at 78 and drop to 30-45 on ultra settings and even on low settings !
My PC parts: Ryzen 3600 stable oced at 4,3 GHZ (AMD turbo boost disabled ;-)) , XFX RX 6800 XT @ 2,55 GHZ ,Corsair DDR4 RAM 16GB @3200 MHZ , SSD (Crucial MX500)
I was monitoring with MSI Afterburner and HWINFO , there you can see that the GPU idles @ 500 -1200 MHZ regardless the resoultion and graphics quality.
The Match i played was still quite funny even the low fps though !
Greetings
One thing I noticed is that some of the bots pause when they reload, I am not sure if that’s intentional or not lol
Three dots followed by a crash after a couple seconds. 3060 with latest NVIDIA drivers. Happens regardless of monitor configuration.
Playing with a 1080ti at 2560 x 1440, love the gameplay so far. Just a little un optimized, few bugs with not loading the intro to the match but i imagine thats just because its the preview.
I’ve gotten two emails for the infinite tech preview and I checked the halo insider page and there’s nothing at the bottom stating that I’m in the tech preview.
I am playing on pc. I have a GTX 1080. Game looks blurry. No matter what settings I change, the shaders still look bad. Performance is bad. Getting between 50 to 70 fps. Not a smooth experience. This should not happen with a GTX 1080.
Testing the Tech Preview on an RTX 2060, Ryzen 7 4800H Asus Laptop
Getting 30FPS on a connected 4K monitor - Ultra settings 100%scale, which is GREAT in my opinion (I know 60fps is too much to ask for my hardware on these settings)
Loving almost everything so far! Great job 343, this genuinely feels like halo finally
Do we know if this will utilize DLSS and/or FSR? I’m seeing some less than ideal FPS figures for high end hardware.
GUYS. If you have a problem with your game looking like it’s at 60% resolution even though it’s 100% in the settings, TURN EFFECTS QUALITY TO LOW. For some weird reason this made my game look crisp and the correct resolution again. I will be reporting this as a bug of course.
Framerate/Frame Timing Issues:
The games framerate/frame timing feels very choppy. On a RTX 3090 with an i9-9900K 64 gigs of RAM, latest Nvidia driver. During gameplay I am not maxing out GPU load, temps are good. Turning setting down doesn’t help with the choppiness feeling. It feels like Halo Reach did before its framerate interpolation update was applied. Disabling Gsync helps slightly but it still feels very choppy. Not having exclusive Fullscreen as an option isn’t great either. We are forced to borderless fullscreen or windowed.
Visuals:
Not sure if the game is respecting resolution scale or dynamic res is borked. Along with poor performance and choppiness at any setting (despite having a 3090), it also looks very blurry, like dynamic res is messing up or something or its rendering at a lower % scale. It does not look as clear as many of the gameplay previews I see online.
Settings sometimes reset on relaunch
Party/Fireteam issues:
Lots of problems getting people into a fireteam, matchmaking queuing and leaving party members out of the match, or multiplayer just not loading stuck at a UNSC icon loading screen. Sometimes after a match you get stuck on the black dot loading screen and need to restart the game.
Gameplay:
Mouse controls feel very choppy and not as smooth/responsive as MCC. This could be due to the janky framerate/frame timing. Weapons, sound, quality of life changes are all really good. The map is pretty good too. Only feedback would have the skewer spike weapon push a target to whatever wall is behind them and pin them to it.
Audio:
Guns feel powerful and all the sounds are very good. Only issue is often gun firing sounds and reloads get muffled when other sounds or voice overs are playing. They should always have top priority.
Whenever attempting to change the keybind related to “Push-to-Talk” the game crashes.
