can someone please tell me how i see my invited gamertag account is it in an email or something please help me
我无法在steam上启动游戏。当您打开游戏时,程序在两秒钟后崩溃。
As well as a few other pc players, I got an email claiming I was invited, but never got a follow up email with installation instructions. I don’t have any key under my halo insider additional info either.
PC issues:
When re opening the game I can’t move left or right with the thumbstick on Default controller setup in game.
Controller feels clunky and slow and aim assist doesn’t work well with smart-link either minimal assist or none.
FPS issues on RTX 2080 with Ryzen 7 3800x, settings seem stuck at High pre set even when restarting getting 50FPS on average
FOV occasionally resets to 70 on startup
Occasional crashes when launching from Steam
On a 5600x & 2080Ti w/ 32gb of 3600MHz ram @ all low settings and 1440p, getting ~100 fps at 55% internal res, ~50 fps on 100% internal.
Menu UI is obnoxiously spaced out - just give me a vertically-oriented set of options on the left like previous halos that split it into Campaign, Multiplayer, Forge, Customization, Settings, Exit, and then have the battlepass up at the top right.
The current menus are split into weird places. Having play / customization / shop on the top left, while settings, social, etc are bottom right, and then a separate group of options on escape is just not intuitive. Include stuff like the credits, support page, and other niche options in a side-menu of the settings instead of being immediately present and making the escape menu cluttered. Please provide a ‘back’ button on sub-menus, there’s no reason to not afford mouse-selection for navigating back through menus.
Needler impact feedback is not great, player experience on the receiving end feels like you get hit by the first needle, and then follow-on hits do not seem to register, resulting in the player thinking they’re dodging successfully before supercombining.
Pulse Carbine velocity feels too low; the tracking is fairly strong, but landing shots does not seem reliable and you can’t lead targets effectively because the tracking works against lead-aim.
After about 3 hours of gameplay, I’ve noted some observations…
- The obvious one is performance. I have an i7-8700k and RTX 3070 but can barely escape 60 FPS (others have beefier computers and still have similar FPS).
- Aiming feels… interesting. Doesn’t really resemble any Halo game I’ve played before. Sometimes weapons feel incredibly sticky and other times it’s almost impossible to line up a shot. I’ve played with the deadzones and sensitivity extensively but it feels awkward at all settings.
- This might just be beta related, but when I quit and hop back in, my settings all get reset.
- Having to manually pickup grenades on spawn beacons seems unnecessary.
- Literally love everything else.
Also, the links to specific discussion threads doesn’t work, nor does bug submission. Hopefully those get sorted out.
For those with the “game_Release.exe has stopped working” error, what fixed it for me was disabling all display adapters except the gpu I wanted to run on. I have a multi-gpu setup and apparently the flight preview isn’t smart enough to handle that yet.

If you were invited, you would have got an email. So check your email account(s). In halo waypoint, you should also have a message with the code for the flight.

im in the same trouble
The game seems to go black whenever on full screen, i played a couple of games / Ryzen 3700X & RTX 2060S, not getting a smooth 60FPS experience at all times neither
I am playing on PC - ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio and in the armoury the top half of the Spartans helmet is cropped off screen
Noticing the same things are others have stated in this thread. Specs are: 3700x, 3080, 16GB 3200MHz RAM
-
Low FPS during gameplay - Gameplay feels a bit “choppy” when turning - Some settings not saving (FOV slider is one in particular)Some positive feedback:
-
Guns feel snappy and “heavy”, like they actually are delivering some punch to the enemy - Grenades feel good to useIn-game issues:
-
When I’ve had the VK78 Commando low on ammo and I go to pickup another from the wall to get more ammo, I cannot fire my gun until I swap weapons and come back to the VK78. I cannot reload either until I swap guns
Yeah, I got a message in my inbox that tells me:

When I’m running the game my CPU Usage is always at 99%-100% and gpu usage 20%-50% in medium settings 1080p res. I have an i5 9600k and RTX 3060 ti. Tried to use more gpu by maxing everything but I only managed to 70% usage gpu with everything maxed out and 200% scale res (2160p). Game is actually unplayable in both settings having frame drops/stuttering.

It’s not there. I’ve been checking regularly since yesterday.
As others have noted, there’s something weird going on with graphic settings:
-
FPS stays around 55, regardless of whether i play on low or high (didn’t test ultra), GPU is a 1070 and it’s never hitting 100% usage, others with much better GPUs report the same results so there’s obviously something weird at play. Would like some guideline on what good settings are for different hardware. - V-Sync is either triple buffered or nothing, would like double buffered instead, the performance loss with VSync on is very major, from 55FPS to 35FPS on average - Ultrawide works fairly well but the camera angles in menus are all messed up, the customization screen for example has the head of the spartan out of viewOther than that, there’s some issues with weapons:
-
UNSC weapons have the best sound design i’ve heard for ballistic weapons in any shooter in 15 years of playing, but the Covenant and Banished weapons sound incredibly weak and not punchy by comparison, unsure if anything can be done about this considering they’re mostly energy weapons, though i did like Halo 5 sounds more for the plasma pistol and Needler. - Needler is more powerful than any other weapon in the preview, it’s sort of absurd just how much better it is than other weapons, it needs slightly slower projectiles and a significant (maybe 15-20%) reduction to rate of fire. - Somehow, the Sidekick feels far better to use than the Commando, it seems to have better accuracy and it feels far more reliable, i think the Commando needs a slight damage buff, maybe take one less shot to break shields. - It’d be really helpful to have weapons like the Battle Rifle leave a particle trail behind to see where our bullets are going, more visual feedback on projectile impact against surfaces other than spartans would also help.
