I’m liking it a lot but when it comes to the powerful vehicles there is some tweaking that needs to happen, I think the benchy scorpion and wasp are very weak and very easy to destroy they need to increase the durability of the vehicles and also the Splash damage of the projectiles would be nice, I think there is too many variations of power weapons that are on the map that can literally take you out in seconds, the ghost seems to be way more stronger than any other vehicle so you could increase it to match it that’s if it is stronger.

It’s on the insider part of Waypoint, you sign up to be an insider and then you’re signed up…
I don’t think it should be right near the end of the match before the heavy vehicles are dropped by the pelicans because it doesn’t give you a lot of time to play around with them if one other person jumps in it and dies that’s it that vehicle is gone and doesn’t give anyone else the opportunity to jump in it before the games over
Really would like Jeff Steitzer back as the announcer for BTB. Current announcer is forgettable and just gets drowned out with all the chatter. I only find out I got certain multi-kills/killstreaks after the game because I just didn’t realise during the game.
BTB has been great, I’ve been enjoying the map and its Wildlife and Fauna (Nice additions)
I wish to add some feedback to what I feel that is needed to be looked at:
-Visual Indicator on Vehicle Integrity: As fun as these Vehicles are, I can’t really tell if the Vehicle is heavily damaged or about to explode, The Banished red is kind of hard to tell if the Vehicles are on fire. Change it from Red to Purple, invert the color of its previous renditions.
-Radar: 18 meters is not much in a large map. I’m likely going to see the enemy before the radar picks it up in the close quarter parts of the map. 12 V 12 is awfully chaotic for this current Radar range.
-Flag Damage: If we are holding the flag, can one-hit melee again? It’s seriously odd we lose the magnum but unable to defend ourselves through old means. Knowing I have to two-hit melee with the flag makes me want to drop drop the flag to fight once my position is exposed, especially in BTB.

I havent gotten a CTF game where we scored a single point. Just the other team scores one, then our team has to sit base as they lay siege.

> They aren’t asymmetric, there’s 3 progressive spawn locations which are the same for both teams. The first flag is in the open, the second is under the base, and the third is at the top. When a flag is captured from one spawn, it’ll move to the next.
Oh, well I guess my matches are skewed then cause I was always on the team that took the Ls. It always felt like by the end of the match the other team was bombarding us. I hope it panned out better for most players cause that sounds better than how it feels
I noticed that the hit detection on tyres on the Warthog and Mongoose are fairly off, with bullets going through them instead of puncturing them, hitting the rear of the vehicle instead.
Really having a blast, the gameplay feels great! Love the new control mode where you need to control all 3 points to score. I also like the radar as is, it gives other weapons a chance to shine rather than everyone hanging back with the battle rifle like in every other game and it it impossible for you to approach. The pelicans dropping off vehicles is awesome. Map feels great with 24 people and Im really excited to have that chaotic Halo experience that only BTB can bring.
Although not specific to BTB - flag kills need to be one melee.
I will add that the HP of the warthog feels like it needs to be brought up a tad, ghost feels great, mongoose handles well and feels balanced, havent tried any other vehicles.
I think that BTB is very boring as it is. You get dropped in as a 12 man squad into a big but still claustrophobic map with 1 warthog and a couple mongeese. The fun vehicles come in way too late for anyone to use and the spawning is also too slow. Id rather have the spawning of older halos back and them being there all the time. It would make the whole gamemode alot more chaotic and enjoyable. The removal of the spartan Laser was a good step and im all for it. It simply ruined the vehicle use most of the time.
I hope that atleast deathmatch szenarios get the btb qualities of old back because the current way even in objective matches is just… not enough. 2 warthogs and several mongeese and ghosts right at the start of the match would be what I call the bare minimum.
I really don’t like the way vehicles are done in this so far. Having all vehicles that aren’t the standard warthog or mongoose be dropped off in an extremely telegraphed way makes it so they rarely last longer than 10 seconds unless it’s a ghost. Vehicles are almost always destroyed, and power vehicles don’t spawn until like the last minute of the game. We get a slow trickle of fun with vehicles and the rest of the time is normal gameplay. I think looking to the way that Reach did vehicles, there were tons that were available immediately and would respawn on a timer regularly based on when they were destroyed. The sightlines in most map were longer, allowing for counterplays to vehicles if you were careful, so the mass amount on the field didn’t have too negative of an effect. In Infinite vehicles feel strange to use and have very little impact on the gameplay
While having a blast playing BTB so far, quick things I hope will spark at least a discussion:
- Not criticism, but the graphics are STUNNING. - I really hope we have an option for BR starts (similar to MCC). It’s frustrating fighting over the BR or Commando with 11 other people. That or they need to spawn a lot faster - I really hope we have an option for various game types vs. being forced into CTF etc, similar to H5. MCC does this well. Slayer is my jam - The Warthog is WAY too fast, and I found it difficult to control, even after 15+ years of playing. We need newer players to be able to drive that thing, too - The gunner controls on the Warthog should also have an option for sensitivity. I found it too sensitive - The ghost also needs tweaking. It feels too fast, and the physics don’t “belong” - Vehicles are too easy to kill, especially with the advanced longer range guns that can EMP. Please have the plasma pistol do this, or substantially reduce the amount of time the vehicle stays in a frozen state - There needs to be more vehicles/faster vehicle drops. With the 4 extra people on the team, it makes it REALLY difficult to experience vehicle play. Anytime a Pelican dropped a ghost/tank, there were 3-4 people on my team fighting over it - The short TTK feedback I read from a lot of players earlier really comes across on BTB. A lot of times I’d die out of nowhere, even with decent cover. A lot of times from an AR. It felt very COD, not in a good way
So far so good on my end, haven’t had any issues with BTB weapon training and with AIs, the frame rate is crystal clear and I am playing on the Xbox Series S which is hardwired and no I haven’t tried it on WIFI alone yet
Development team: So far the bugs I’ve encountered have been the following:
- When activating ‘Active Camo’ the game froze and closed out. No errors.
- When hitting ‘Play’ for Big team battle or Social Arena there seems to be a connection issue, my team would go through this ‘cycle’ where it states ‘Loading…0%’ and exits queue. After going through the cycle once we’re able to join the second time.
Why is there no Jeff Steitzer telling me when I get double kills, triple kills, killing sprees, etc. in Big Team Battle???
But I have to listen to 3 different obnoxious audio cues tell me when someone has taken our flag???
Plus, the medals are so tiny I can’t see them in the middle of a battle.
I don’t like it.
Cannot find any match to join, everytime I try to go to the multiplayer, it just shows me the loading screen without nothing else happening.
Ghosts take way too much damage before being destroyed. Plus the driver’s head is no longer visible above the front of the ghost so it is basically impossible to stop a ghost from the front. This is over powered.
The warthog now seems to take an appropriate amount of damage in BTB this weekend compared to how it felt last weekend in 4v4.
The tank doesn’t seem to take any damage from players boarding it and punching it. One teammate boarded the back of it and punched it 5 times before being killed. Then another teammate boarded it and punched it 3 more times before being killed. No noticeable damage???
I can’t join match just shows unsc logo how to fix?
Heavy vehicle spawns need to be more involved. I know the idea is to let the game ramp up, but having some games where they dont spawn at all just does not feel good nore does it feel good when they come it at the tail end. I think this can be resolved in 2 ways:
- change the time in which heavier vehicles spawn into the match. Currently it seems it happens at 5 mins left, this could be raised to 7 or 8 min left - remove the escalating nature and instead just have heavy vehicles spawn on a set timer. This could be every 3, 4, or 5 min. Thus allowing players to be ready for when they spawn in and allow for more play time with the heavier vehiclesI also think what spawns should be changed. Currently is seems both teams get the same version of a vehicle (of a banshee spawns, both teams get one). I dont think this provides a healthy sandbox and leads to games where vehicles are not really interacting with one another. Classic btb was fun cause a banshee could go up against a skorpian or a wasp versus banshee etc. If you increase the amount of heavy vehicle spawns and increase the frequency, I think it will lead to even more dynamic situations players can get themselves into.
While the current system is fun, I think it could be way better via the suggestions above.
Has anyone else been having issues getting into a game? Normally I don’t load/spawn in until a minute after a match has begun and it’s rather annoying. My download speed is at an average 900 MBps and my upload is at an average of 50 MBps.
BTB in Infinite is amazing. We just need Jeff Steitzer back. That was one of the problems in Halo 5’s Warzone.
