Not a problem but Big Team Slayer, feels way to fast. With 12 players per team getting 100 kills is very fast. Maybe raise the kills to reach to 150? Just so it balances out having 4 more people per team. It’s fantastic and I am so far loving this more than the previous flight! Well done and thank you!

These Ice Unicorn playdates are NOT putting your players first. You only conduct them while most contributing members of society are at school/work. Someone asked about this during the last MCC Season 8 playdate and Postums respoded that you guys were going to find more ways/times for players to get a chance to obtain them… but here we are at 12:00 PST again. Please be better to your fans or just give out the Ice Unicorn nameplate to everyone.
Edit: To make things worse, you are running a full 343 team, eliminating slots for other player to match. And, you surprise everyone with “we’re searching” seconds after you’ve clicked “PLAY” instead of giving us a proper countdown.

I can confirm that there is a level of RNG. I’ve gotten a Sniper, Frag Grenades, and Grappleshot in the same match as a Skewer, Plasma Grenades and Repulsor from two separate ventures into the caches.
Please set voice chat as PTT by default rather than open. I have had to outright turn off in game voice chat due to the massive amount of people who don’t know how to mute their mics. This ruins my experience, as one of my favorite parts of Halo is coordinating with random players to win a game, and making friends along the way. I don’t need to hear some kid’s echoing TV or their mom vacuuming in the background.

Gotcha, so I just have bad luck good to know
In my first game of BTB today I spawned in and could not move or see my weapons. I could jump and shoot though, as well as throw grenades. My friend walked over to me and said he could walk through me. The gametype was strongholds and most of the players disconnected.
Getting allot of discconected from network and request to join has timed out seems the servers not liking it
hello, the map is great I love it. on the other hand, playing against pc players is really awful. I get screwed and I take no pleasure on the big team. yet it is my favorite mode. I hope that we can deactivate the crossplay otherwise we will have to find a solution so that the joystick players can enjoy it … because this is not the case. I was not a fan of halo 5 but I limit it prefer gameplay level because at least I can do kills … I have never had so much piyr aimed at a player. and I wonder if some aren’t cheating already. At one point a player clearly saw that I was coming … while there is no radar, another killed me in the BR while considering the cadence I would never have believed that it was a BR. in short … the crossplay is very nice … but we can see what it gives on call of duty … otherwise a single bug to find a part of the 6 that I have done … and the pc sjoeurs who are aps happy … take a controller and you will see the difference … the sbon pc players know very well that they have an advantage compared to us … 2nd weekend, 2nd disappointments … I am disgusted for the moment …

The AI. I want to turn the voice off because I’m not a fan of the quips and one-liners it gives, but I also need it to tell me when we have the flag or when we’re in the lead etc. (the role of the announcer). I also am not a fan of the… unprofessional nature of the AI. If there’s an ordinance drop, for example, I just want to hear “Ordinance inbound” or something, not “A GIFT FROM THE HEAVENS!” I far preferred the classic announcer. I think the idea of personal AIs is really cool, but I’m just not a huge fan of them as they are right now. It could also be cool if the AI color corresponded to the HUD color (customizable HUDS, etc.) - The scoreboard feels too small - Weapon names. For me, the weapon names need to be memorable. I remember the names of plenty of the new weapons, but when it comes to the human weapons, I don’t know what anything is called because it’s all just letters and numbers. An option to switch to casual names "like Magnum, Assault Rifle, etc.) would be nice - Placement of weapon/grenade info on HUD. This may just be something I need to get used to, but I miss seeing my weapons and ammo count on the top of the HUD rather than the bottom. I also miss being able to see which kinds of grenades I have, rather than just seeing what I have equipped.

I believe there will be input-based matchmaking in the final game.
So far BTB has been excellent, really feels like classic halo BTB chaos to me. A few thoughts:
- Grapple-jacking a wasp felt incredible. Made me feel like I was in the trailer for the game. The Scorpion oddly felt a little weak. The map might have something to do with that though because it is very easy to get high ground and gang up on it. Though I have only played 1/12 games so far where the vehicles drops were anything other than ghosts and hogs. The frequency of better vehicle drops could use a buff. - All of my BTB games have run at a consistent 30-40 frames lower and way more stuttery than arena matches. I know this is a flight but BTB could still use optimization. - Sometimes it can take a minute to find the action in BTB slayer because the map is so large. - 12v12 is awesome, I love the large engagements. The map feels well designed to break up the engagements into 1v1’s but also allow for large fights between whole teams. - CTF with separate flag and capture points feels very strange, but I think I could get used to it if that’s the way its going to be permanently. - The power weapons actually feel balanced. - The AR is much stronger than it should be at range. It is possible to compete with BR users just by tap firing the AR. Not sure if this was the intended balance but it feels a little odd. - Loot caves seem a little weak for how long they take to open. I know the rockets are a power weapon and overshields are strong, but maybe include some other stuff in there too so teammates could use it. Possibly just another weapon rack or two with the normal map guns.
So is anyone else having issues where the game is crashing and then now you are banned? This is happen now twice. Playing on an Xbox one X. Is there anyway to fix this from happening?
Im on a xbox one s and so far haven’t had to much trouble. I dont know how this map is considered to be friendly for vehicles. Big team battle is a open space where ur ripping around fighting off each other in vehicles. This map literally besides the ghost gives you no chance at using a vehicle to its full potential maybe i just have to play it more but when your in the tank you don’t feel like your at A advantage at all your a sitting duck. YOUR IN A TANK YOU SHOULD HAVE A ADVANTAGE. BUT SINCE SOMEONE CAN HIGH JACK OR PLANT A GRENADE IN THE BACK YOUR ACTUALLY BETTER OFF ON FOOT BECAUSE ON THIS MAP THERE IS NO WHERE U CAN SIT SAFELY AND GET A FEW ROUNDS OFF SAFELY YOUR JUST IN THE THICK OF IT AND THEN BLOW UP. You can’t stay back and support your teammates on a claustrophobic map like this. Maps like sand trap or Avalanche you could battle it out against another tank or warthog. At least on the map BEHEMOTH you have clear lines of sight and if u need to hightail it out of there you can but clear line od sight no clutter and u can then do some serious damage with the Warthog. I thought they were trying to go for a less cluttered feel and this feels worse than halo 5. Not a fan of tanks being dropped in make it simple each side starts off with the same stuff. Don’t just drop it off in the middle of the map in a real war-zone you wouldn’t drop off stuff to reinforce your guys by dropping things in the middle of the battlefield hopefully there will be classic btb where like i said things are equal on both sides.
Also once again huge concern with the hole doomday as it was called with vehicles blowing up. There tin cans and have to be buffed. And please tell me im not the only one that feels this way. Praying for a more open map feel on other maps. Larger radar scanner its so small someone is hitting you in the back by the time you realize they are there. This is gen 7 spartan armor shouldn’t the sensors be getting better lore wise. Not worse. I personally hate to complain about a game but these are serious things that need t be looked at. Also hoping they add this map to training so we can learn where everything is.
Honestly loving most things so far, but came here specifically to mention that I feel Total Control is a really poorly implemented gametype. The RNG spawns of the zones and the relative speed at which they appear makes it far too easy for one team to win the match effortlessly if they get fortunate spawns. I’ve won one and lost one match of the gametype and both times it was hardly competitive. Both games had times when two of the three capture points would be significantly closer to one team than the other or providing much more cover to pushing from one direction than the other which just snowballed into an easy win.
I’d prefer the game be like Domination where you receive points for having the majority captured, along with the switching, instead of simply capturing all three meaning a won “round”. Either that, or actually make it round based and reset the match after one team captures all three. Both times whenever the new points spawned in the team that just had map control easily took them again, making it an annoyingly brief and frustrating game.

I feel like in big team Battle the teams are supposed to be divided into three fire teams but it doesn’t feel like that. I know I can see the green indicators saying who’s in my fire team but it doesn’t really feel like I’m part of a fire team. I would like to see a name specifically for the fire teams and then a name for the team name. It doesn’t seem like there’s any incentive to work as a fire team. I would like to also see all my teammates when you load into a map instead of just four people.
Please either remove the Commando or give it much better aiming mechanics. BR starts would be best, half the match is spent running around looking for a BR. Also, ghost is currently way too difficult to kill.
My reply will primarily be about gameplay.
1. Time-to-Kill
I’m not sure if anyone else feels the same way but the time-to-kill for some weapons (i.e. Assault Rifle, Magnum) seems fairly high and unrewarding. As a PC player, I’m confident in my aim and I can often recall times where I put a whole magazine of the Assault Rifle or Magnum into a player from close to medium range and struggled to kill them. I feel like it’s especially unrewarding for landing consecutive body shots or headshots with these guns. I often get into fights with players where we both run out of ammo in our primary weapons during a single engagement and it seems awkward. The high time-to-kill for guns like these also makes it difficult to get multi-kills with standard weapons as opposed to power weapons.
2. Auto Weapon Pickup
I’ve searched for this option and haven’t been able to find it, if it exists; but I would really appreciate an auto weapon pickup for when I run out of ammo and drop my primary. If this feature is implemented, I would also want to see an option to enable or disable 'automatic weapon switching on pickup so that my player won’t automatically switch to a weapon they just walked over if I don’t want them to.
3. Options for Mitigating Motion Sickness
Thankfully I don’t suffer from motion sickness in video games like some of my friends do but I would really appreciate an option to disable view bobbing when sprinting. I’m sure there are other gameplay settings that could mitigate motion sickness and this is just one idea.
4. Other Suggestions
- Increasing the radar size for BTB
- Creating a ‘weapon proficiency’ reward system where players would need to get 100, 200, 300 kills with a specific weapon to unlock a customization option for said weapon.
- Increasing the Carbine’s effective range in BTB
- More pronounced sounds for when your shield goes down and an enemy gets you to low health
- The ability to have my health on the bottom of the screen and the score on top
- An option to increase the size of certain UI elements, like the team scores (with a preview of the in-game look from within the settings menu)
- A ping indicator for each player when I open the scoreboard
- A hotkey for creating an in-game screenshot which would assist bug reporting (yes, I know I can use the windows feature but my windows button is disabled)
- Please, for the love of god, mute all of my teammates while I’m loading into the game or until the game starts. I can’t tell you how many times someone’s poor microphone has tortured me during the time I’m waiting in the loading screen where I can’t access any volume options.
Some stuff I picked up on during BTB matches:
-The Battle Rifle finally feels right. Not the best in the franchise, but I like its state right now
-The Assault Rifle also feels balanced. It being so precise at long/medium range made it clash with the Commando in the sandbox. Now they both fit their roles
-Vehicle drops just have players swarming to that spot. I don’t know how this could be improved
-The Ravager feels like a precision weapon when not overcharged. I feel like it should do more splash damage in normal shots
-The 1st person camera sometimes clips through your legs when sliding
Other than that, for the most part the game feels right as it is now
