Besides a number of the things pointed by other people in this thread, here a small thing I would personally enjoy: I would love if the turrets and fusion coils respawned during the matches. I love being able to chuck the boxes at enemies and lug around a turret and gun spartans down but they often get completely used up in the beginning third to a half of a match.
I’m sure this has been brought up, but have you all noticed that when you spawn on Fragmentation it takes a second for the grass to pop-in?
The game is honestly running great on my Xbox Series S. I haven’t crashed and I only lagged twice for 5 seconds max in the span of 3 hours. It’s a nice win to lose ratio, and the graphics are insane. The only problems I’ve had is when I die, my screen goes black for a extra second and throws my spawn attention off. The game froze on the main menu page at one point but I restarted and it worked perfectly fine. Reminds me exactly of reach, and I’m here for it.
BTB is a lot of fun! Lots of crazy stuff happening.
VEHICLES:
-Main problem is the Heavy vehicles. They come in way late into the match and when it does, everyone is trying to take it (Wasp, Banshee, Scorpion). I also noticed that they drop in at different times, which may make it unfair for one team. In one match, one team’s Scorpion dropped in first and beated everything as if he could do it all day. It would be neat and more chaotic to have them drop in more often and at the same time so neither team gets an advantage because one team had same day delivery while the other has next day shipping.
MOTION SENSOR/RADAR:
-Thanks for the change on the radar acting like a motion sensor! Gives more info about the surroundings compared to the previous iteration. But as for Big Team Battle modes and big maps, a larger scanning radius would be more useful.
TOTAL CONTROL MODE:
-Great new mode! I like that it has zones going from the middle middle, to left and right middle, but some zones are too close to either team’s spawns. I think most zones should stay near the middle of the map with one zone being near one team’s spawn. So if one team captures two mid zones, they have to push further into the enemy base to secure total control.
VEHICLE EXPLOSIONS:
-The sound of everything is amazing. But as for the visual aspect of vehicles blowing up and getting destroyed, it’s a bit underwhelming. I think they could use more “boom” and “fire” visually rather than just breaking apart into clean pieces. A destroyed Ghost looks identical to working Ghost. A destroyed Warthog looks too clean to be destroyed.
SPECTATOR CAMERA:
-The new “fixed” camera is great, especially when seeing a teammate drive a Warthog like it’s Forza. Can there be an option/toggle in real time that switches from a Free Rotating Cam to Fixed Cam? Sometimes, looking at the enemy that killed you and then seeing that enemy die with a fixed camera, a free cam would be a nice addition to look around while waiting to spawn in. Don’t wanna miss something cool happen while I’m staring at myself taking a nap. Spectating other teammates outside of your squad would be cool too.
MEDAL ANNOUNCER:
-Missing- please add back. It feels empty without the iconic Halo Medal Announcer.

As another day passes, I think I really need to reiterate that power vehicles need to spawn earlier. Me and 5 friends played about 7 hours out of the total of 8 for the day, and only in one single game did a Scorpion spawn, and it was available for about a minute before the match ended. Even when matches end due to the timer running out, tanks don’t spawn. Maybe it’s just bugged? Either way, not getting to see or use the power vehicles in most matches feels bad.

I was having major frame rate issues during BTB. It was oscillating between 70FPS-144FPS. This only occurred during BTB Slayer. CTF and Control had no frame rate issues.
overall I like it but one blaring issue is how short the matches are. I always feel like the matches end too soon and you’re lucky to see a banshee or a wasp in a game, much less a tank, much less being able to actually use the vehicles yourself. I like how the power level ramps up over the game but the games have to last longer in order for the power level to climax instead of 80% of games having one banshee or wasp at most and often not even those. BTB should be BIG and epic but that doesn’t happen. I think the simple remedy for this is to up the number of kills needed to win in slayer and for ctf and total control make the score to win 4 or 5. It would be a massive shame if such an awesome mode always gets cut short and we never get to see any of the vehicles that are such a big part of what makes btb fun. How damaged vehicles are could also be conveyed better, its often hard to tell when a vehicles is just a little damaged or about to explode, adding more fire would help.
I don’t mind the scope glints, I think its a creative way to encourage more interaction between two players that would otherwise end with one player getting killed by another player never knowing they are there, but it needs to be toned down a LOT. As it is right now the glint isn’t just an indicator its a massive beacon that anyone within your field of view sees and focuses fire on. Maybe make it more like an actual glint where when you look at someone it will make a little flash that they can react to, just so long as anyone with a sniper/shock rifle doesn’t have a constant massive light marking exactly where enemies need to shoot.

Yes, I’ve noticed this as well. I’m playing on the original XONE, so it could be just an issue with the lack of computational power of older hardware. What are you playing on?
Big Team feels great, honestly, but certainly could be better-
- The Skewer is way too overpowered in Big Team. In Arena, it is a good skillful weapon, but in BTB it is an instant vehicle eraser and counters half the fun of the mode. Maybe it’s an issue with vehicle health, but being one shot from god knows where and instantly exploding is never any fun, especially when you’re in a vehicle. The Banshee gets practically one-shot, the Ghost is one-shot, and Warthog is lucky if it survives an AR clip afterwards. And if you’re not one-shot, you’re flung in circles and/or upside down and ejected from your vehicle. It’s just not fun to fight. I think it’s meant to be some sort of Splaser replacement, but the Splaser has a charge time and is telegraphed- the Skewer has neither of those and feels just as powerful. - Going off that, vehicles feel rather papery. The Ghost is the only vehicle that feels like it can withstand a firefight. For a gamemode that should revolve around vehicles, the vehicles seem to have an incredibly small presence, and are dealt with very swiftly 99% of the time. Might have to do with the sheer amount of people and power weapons in one place. - Going off that, there are not enough vehicles for Big Team. Ghosts and Warthogs get dripfed in, and the really BTB-oriented stuff like Wasps, Banshees, and Scorpions don’t show up anywhere near enough. They feel like an afterthought addition in their own mode. - The Dynamo grenades hard counter vehicles way too well for easily available they are. Shock is an interesting idea, and I like the EMP effect on weapons, but an instant long stun on grenades that are everywhere is too oppressive, and adds to the poor feeling of vehicles in the vehicle mode. - I personally feel like grenades in general are too common or too powerful. I think I blew up 75% of my deaths. Especially in modes like Total Control, when everyone’s clustering around central areas, maybe consider not spawning with frag grenades and making them map pick-ups. - Vehicle physics are whacked. I recognize I’m not the best driver, but the amount of times I grazed any semblance of a hill and went careening into a quadruple backflip and spat out of the driver’s seat was, well, funny the first couple times but it made piloting vehicles, especially the Warthog and Mongoose, really frustrating. - 10 second respawn timer is waaaay too long, especially in Slayer. There’s no objective to defend or seize, let me get back in the fight! I want to play your game! Let me play your game! - Medals should be announced. I don’t care by who- Commander Agryna seems cool, and the AI are fun- but getting multikills and sprees or cool style medals and just hearing nothing is really hollow. One of the coolest things in Halo are the medal announcements. When I pull off something awesome, I want the game to fuel my excitement. And besides, you recorded all those high sprees and multikills from Jeff! Like two people are gonna hear Killionaire and whatever replaced Unfrigginbelievable in Arena- those medals have a much higher chance to pop up in Big Team, so why aren’t they announced there? - I like the concept of the side rooms to fight over, but they rarely seemed to come into play. When it did it was cool, but most of the time they felt almost too out of the way for too little. I felt like I just sat there bored and uncontested waiting for the door to open. It’s a nice little power package for one player, but I don’t think there’s enough in there to warrant any team fights or even seek it out. Especially since everything inside can be found elsewhere on the map. - The flag should be a one-hit melee in Big Team at least. I get the change for arena, but in a much more open map with a long distance to travel and 12 players gunning for you, the flag should have more power to it.

Everything feels powerful again, using that fantastic Audio with the Dynamic Setting on & Movement that feels we are using what should be, and were designed to be. An Enhanced Walking Tank.
Then the Weapons and Vehicles are just better! Full Stop
It’s back to form with Audio that came alive in Dynamic Mode and Headphones
Loved the Ai, The Armoury looked fantastic! And quickly passing the very nice touch that the armour looks stunning but not perfect which is what a Main Battle Tank should look like.
I think a few dials, obviously this is just my opinion but b there is still some things that need dialing in little
In my personal opinion, I would like to see rear melee damage much more deadly
Then the Pistol, now it feels great, Sounds punchier, but in reality it’s a bit useless but for possibly the pro’s, I hope not, as it js certainly no mighty Magnum, that’s for sure…No Soldier should have room for 'Useless" in there kit I once got told. hehe 
Oh and the Skins looked Fantastic! I can’t wait to see what things are possible in the future, such as getting a badass set of Armour & Matching Weapons…Nice
I am much more excited for the release of Halo Infinite now I have been through the confidence building Flighting Sessions post Halo 5

Seriously though, we need more vehicles at the beginning of each game. Lack of vehicles is a big problem for me. I wanna see Banshees flying over and ghosts, wraiths , warthogs and scorpions engaging each other but this feeling is not there. There are some rare ghost drops but only once in a minute i guess.
Vehicles feel weak i mean really weak. I got the banshee once in my 5 hour BTB playtime and it died almost instantly. Vehicles definitely need more HP.
Where is the brute chopper we saw in the trailer on this map ? I really love brute chopper and it’s role in Halo 3 BTB, please bring it back and make it more frequent.
- Vehicles felt very underpowered. There’s many counter weapons and gadgets that a vehicle that should feel powerful like the scorpion gets obliterated. The shock grenades felt like a very easy to use noob combo and emp , at least with the plasma pistol you had to aim and predict your target movement and not just simply launch grenades at the general direction of the enemy/vehicle.
- Something that seemed confusing was the vehicle spawns, sometimes the enemy team would get an air vehicle first and get an easy advantage which would allow them to steal our air vehicle when our spawn comes and dominate. This gets annoying fast specially when the enemy team already has an advantage in scoring and just gets a scorpion tank making it difficult to come back. Also matches would end and the heavy vehicles would never come or come too late that we couldn’t even try them.
- Jeff Steitzer should be at least selectable as an announcer. - Shock grenades should be nerfed.
Considering how weapon skins don’t change on pickup like in MCC and you can get weapons with other peoples customized skins I’m wondering a lot about how vehicle skins are going to work.
Total Control should be extended to last a little longer.
CTF flag should be one hit kill.
I’ve also noticed that there is no way to stop a flag carrier that’s being driven in a vehicle after they get a small distance across the map. Not having vehicles available to catch up and counter and generally spawning in the very back of the map makes it impossible.
The SPNKR is completely useless against vehicles. A single rocket should decimate a mongoose, but now it takes two. Why would I fire 2/4 rockets at a mongoose given I need to make a direct hit twice to stop the damn thing?
Somehow the AoE for the rocket launcher is wierd. It seems ok in Arena just not in BTB for vehicular warfare.
Congratulations to the 0,1% who was lucky enough to test the scorpion. Why can’t we spawn in with everything available and have the pelicans be the respawns?

I really want to see weapon and vehicle variants like Halo 5, I want an option to turn off the crossplay, sometimes playing vs pc players is very annoying.

Vehicles coming too Late and dropping too late in the Match was already mentioned.
Also I Had heavy lag Yesterday in basically every BTB Match. Sometimes it would get better after a while, Most of the Times it wouldnt. Kinda ruined it dir me Yesterday.
Arena was fine in that regard.
Firstly well done was expecting lag to be horrendous after last week but the extra players didn’t seem to make much difference.
It was great fun playing objectives most of the time and taking out an enemy warthog and all its crew including flag carrier with a single sniper shot from the other side of the map was definitely the high point.
Problems I encountered included no after battle reports loading again as last week.
Having to restart game after every 3-4 matches as it would stop searching.
Freezing on black loading screen and server errors
Biggest bug I saw was with melee. I could be stood behind someone trying to melee and instead I’d die saying they’d beat me down despite having back to me. Saw many other instances in games where the person using melee was going in totally opposite direction to player they were attacking yet that person died.
Some miscellaneous feedback, roughly from most to least importance:
- People are saying to make it a BR start, please don’t. It’s not fun being pinged from halfway across the map as soon as you leave cover. There are plenty of BRs and Commandos on the map that respawn often, the only thing I’d change is to make the Commando aim a bit tighter on controller. Way more inaccurate than BR right now. - Don’t like the outline system at all, but especially on BTB, it can reveal Spartans from an absurd distance when they wouldn’t have been visible in older games. - 150+ point limit on Slayer please, 100 goes way too fast with 24 players. - It can be really unclear when/where ordnance and vehicles are dropping, please try to clean that up (and please bring back permanent heavy vehicle spawns in addition to the new Pelican spawn system). - I’m not sure if this is true, but people are saying that each side of the map gets different weapon/vehicle spawns. Please make them even if that’s the case. - Skewer is too strong. It should toss vehicles around but not destroy them instantly, more like flip them and disorient the user. - Should be a counter to grapplejacks, at least for flying vehicles. - The Heatwave and Shock Rifle are super unique and tons of fun, but I feel they’re underpowered right now. Maybe lean into their unique traits (ie: Heatwave shots do more damage when they bounce off/pass through objects. Shock Rifle is fun but hard to aim, maybe give it a semi auto fire that drains shields but doesn’t kill well, make the current shot a hold to charge, make it EMP vehicles in differing shots depending on how strong/fast they are, and the Dynamo Grenades EMP slower) - Better vehicle destruction with more details, sometimes they don’t even look destroyed even after they’ve blown up. Halo 3’s crazily overexposed explosions were tons of fun. - Total control is lots of fun, except one team can win instantly when zones switch if they get into position. I’d say to either not show their locations ahead of time at all, or make it so that no points can be scored within one minute or so of a zone switch. - Better loot in loot caves please, I saw a Plasma Pistol in one earlier. Better vehicles from Pelicans too, I don’t think they should still be dropping Ghosts at the end of the match. - Free cam on death plsThat’s all I could think of for now, thanks for your hard work, I know it’ll pay off!
It was fun but now it feels just like a big arena. Needs more of that vehicular mayhem recipe.
In all the games I played Ive seen an awfull lot of warthog drops and a couple of ghosts. Ive only seen a wasp being dropped once and a banshee being dropped 1 kill before game ending. Is the scorpion even in this tech preview?
The heavy and air vehicles need to be spawned more often, i need some of that MAYHEM!
Last but not least, why do pelicans have their landing gear out!?!?
