aiming with semiautomatic guns is very difficult on controller.
Hiya, BTB is fun as h*ll but there are some issues that I have come across. Firstly being the lack of heavy vehicles, in my time of playing, (as many games as I could in the previews) I have only come across one wasp, one banshee and two scorpions, only one per match, this is really low, and makes games that run out the full time range feel static, when these heavy vehicles coming later in the match should feel dynamic. Whilst we are on the topic of vehicles, it seems odd that the pelicans bring in great heavy vehicles but also less interesting warthogs and ghosts that already (in some maps) spawn in by default, I feel like the pelican drop should be reserved for more interesting and powerful vehicles, because that would make the drop more worthy of the event that it is. Next for vehicles is that they seem too far on the weak side, ghosts and hogs don’t survive a circuit around the map, and my scorpion didn’t even get that far (that could be my driving tho). A small buff to their health would help in that regard. Next the abundance of power weapons, particularly mid to long range weapons has made traveling the map alot harder, with 12 players to each team, and easily more the 12 precision weapons avaliable for each team, any open space is suicide to traverse, even woth the same type of weapon. To solve this I belive more closer range weapons/power weapons would solve this issue without any major map design changes. Weapons on the whole feel good, but I personally believe that the amount of low trees can obscure sightlines unintentionally, such as around the middle structure on the map fracture. Gamemodes feel fun but I believe power weapons/vehicles should not be random, especially with the extreme power of them, making them random but equal to both sides would fix this. RREEDDUUCCEE TTHHEE NNUMMBBEERRSS OOFF RROOCCKKEETT LLAAUUNNCCHHEERSS OO NN BBTTBB. sorry note sure what happend there, I was controlling my rage. I also believe that a change to how the grapple shot reacts with vehicles should be put in place, maybe the grapple breaks if the vehicle moves a set distance away from the player, meaning that two shots would be required. Anyways this is just my 2 cents, hope it helps!
Love the game, keep up the good work!
I’ll admit, I’m more of a casual player. While playing this time around in BTB, it feels like half or all of my shots aren’t doing anything. I unloaded a full mag on a guy and melee him, but he never fires and melee me once and I’m gone lol. Also, I can’t swap weapons at all.
Just some things I’ve noticed.
4v4 feels much better and the shots land as they should.

> The Commando especially feels very… weak? It doesn’t seem to fit any real niche or have much staying power in BTB fights when the AR has that range and role covered already.
Don’t fire it full auto. If you fire it in rapid single shots or feather it while aiming for the head, you can use it almost as a DMR. It’s actually very strong and accurate that way.
The one thing that this game mode needs the most is either Halo 2 style proximity chat(which would be the best and most fun) or at least be able to communicate with your 11 other teammates and not just three. It sucks in Battlefield and other big team games and it sucks here too. How am I supposed to tell the guy right next to me to drive the Warthog or get in the gun, or tell someone to flank the other entrance as we sneak in for the flag? It is simply not fun to not be able to communicate.
We the gamer should have the choice to have proximity chat, not have it taken away from us automatically. A choice to turn it on or off or mute anyone. Those options can make everyone happy. Thank you for your consideration.
Overall good fun experience.
-Pacing is good
-Weapons/equipment/vehicles equally spread out
(haven’t been team killed for a gun)
Total Control BTB
- Good game mode, would be better for a 16v16.
- 1 zone should always be near losing teams spawn, creating a tug of war and incentive to push.
CTF
- 1 flag CTF variation
- BTB needs an increase from 18m radar to at least 25m, maybe even 30m, it’s way too easy to get surprised at 18m - The dynamo grenade disables vehicles too quickly and leaves them disabled for too long, it makes using the Ghost or the warthog not very fun, getting disabled and then hit by multiple enemy frags and guns. Halo was better when only a charged plasma pistol shot could disable a vehicle. - The homing/red reticle range for the needler and plasma carbine need to be increased some, BTB shows their weakness even more than arena does due to the larger map with longer distances. The plasma carbine needs buffs in general, easily the weakest gun in the game currently, only really useful at very close range for the plasma to take down shields followed up by a melee. - Vechicle spawns need to be randomized instead of always appearing in the same locations. Also power vehicles need to show up earlier in the game and more often throughout the game. I’ve been playing 2 days now, both sessions each day for about 9 hours of BTB, and still have yet to see a scorpion, let alone use one myself. Only got to use the wasp once, no banshee at all. - Respawns are a bit too quick on BTB CTF, resulting in the majority of CTF matches going to overtime and ending in a draw. - The shock rifle needs some work. You need to be scoped to do much of anything with it, but people can descope you quite easily. As it stands it just feels like a worse sniper rifle most of the time.

Ive had the same issue when i used custom button mapping on xbox one (first gen/ release gen) are you in the same boat? Default control scheme to swap/ drop is “hold y”

Just as a heads up, there was a bug in this flight where your weapon swap isn’t assigned to any button by default, you need to go into the options and assign it to Y or whatever other button you want.

I agree, the medals could be a bit more “in your face/ dynamic”
I am absolutely loving big team battle.
My only feedback for the mode: JEFF STEITZERS VOICE LINES NEED TO BE INCLUDED.

To tac onto this there is an exploit to where players press Melee and then press x to reload then interupt it with another Melee, the result it a furious onslaught of Melee attacks that is almost too fast to counter. Hopefully it gets fixed before release. (XBX)
Another issue i have had, whenever I pick up equipment, my AI only comments that I picked something up about half the time. So for example if I walk over a grappleshot someone dropped on the ground, I may not know I have it until its too late.

Have you hit a vehicle with it yet? Thats it true function. Try shooting a weapon on the ground with it once. It’ll chain to nearby weapons, vehicles and players. Its pretty clever of there is a lot of litter on the ground.

> Frame rate is bad and hit detection is off… weapons are unbalanced. Radar needs to be fixed, literally the enemies show up on the radar in melee range.
The radar has changed for Halo infinite; now it only shows enemies that are either running or dealing you damage. That means that the spartans only walking will approach your radar range and be unnoticed.
Personally, I do feel that original plasma guns (not from the Banished) are underwhelming or straight useless in most cases.
Small hope here: I hope the Ravager’s alt-fire mode gets a buff to make people actually want to use it. Right now in BTB the ravager is pretty prominent, but people only ever use the primary fire mode, since it’s like a 2-3 shot (I forget the exact number). The alt-fire mode seems to almost be an area-denial sort of thing, but it does a poor job at actually denying area. In training mode, I literally charged up the shot, fired it at my feet, and stood still in the pool it creates the entire duration. I was brought down to about a third of my health, but the fact that I didn’t die seems kind of stupid. Since I can survive standing still in it, there’s no way a walking player would be killed, let alone somebody sprinting or in a vehicle. Honestly that kind of defeats the whole purpose of area denial in the first place - you should deny the area, not just tickle the enemy as they walk over it. Certainly I don’t want some busted insta-kill area denial, but some sort of small buff could be cool.

That change was only for the first flight I believe, this radar is closer to classic halo radar
I don’t love the AR starts /I also don’t like the idea of have the weapons that spawn on the map be random some times it’s a BR and some times it the other (forgot the name)
Hog feels terrible to drive it flips on the smallest little bump / gunning feels good and I like how the hog gets very red before it explodes.
I do feel like the spawns are kinda bad for all slayer games.
I realize this is a very early build and is still a flight and I’m sure a lot of things that we do not enjoy could potentially be changed so I’m taking all of it with a grain of
At the end of the day I really enjoyed this weekend’s flight playing with a lot of people that I haven’t played with in years.

> The biggest issue I’ve encountered so far is that for 90% of the matches I complete, my weekly challenges do not track. I have played 7 matches so far and only one of those matches did my challenges track. Could be poor connection on my part, but the game itself runs smoothly during the match so I doubt it.
I’ve already sent a ticket for that, yet I cannot find it on my Halo waypoint access. For me it worked either restarting the console or closing the game app and starting it again.
Don’t know about any pc issues on that. And as recommendation is to keep tracking your challenges to notice when the issue starts, that to avoid trying to complete challenges while unable to.
