Battle Royal in Halo, but it’s team based like warzone.
I see people discussing BR like it should or shouldn’t be in another AAA title, but Apex Legends took an interesting twist and showed us how much more crazy and thought out a BR could be!
Halo could take Warzone and Multi-Team and mash it into an almost BR-like experience, dropping into the Warzone in drop pods, and maybe even picking your specific spartan ability much like how H5 was supposed to turn out. Warzone bosses could be defeated for loot or vehicles depending on their rarity, REQ points could be gained from AI or Player kills to buy little burn cards like Titanfall 1, and REQ stations would be player hotspots for both the burn cards and perhaps the ability to respawn teammates from your team. Teams could be Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, and each team made up of 8 players. Skins really wouldn’t matter, your spartan is your skin!
Don’t talk down about something until you’ve truly tried to find any way possible to make it better! C:
If you have your own opinions don’t be afraid to leave them below!
Halo shouldn’t have a BR mode, period. 343 already said Infinite won’t feature it, stop trying to make it happen.
Lots of good debate about this going on over here.
There no need for halo infinte to continue chasing trends as halo 5 did. Most of the community doesn’t want a br mode. The game needs to be unique again.

I don’t like BR very much after fortnite, I was simply thinking up a cool way to switch it up. I’m currently making a mode like this in Forge for a 4 team Multi-Team gametype to run sorta like Extermination on a large map where Gun Stations will cost 5 points, Respawn Stations will be worth 15 points, all points earned by players will be shared with their team, and every kill is worth 2 points.
Edit: It would pretty much run like a glorified Extermination gametype!

That’s where I was going to post this idea, but I decided to make a seperate thread because it wasn’t exactly a BR idea :v
Not that I’m trying to shoot you down or anything; but Battle Royale and Halo really shouldn’t ever mix.
Apex Legends was successful with BR because it was a brand new thing that was DESIGNED to be a Battle Royale. Just like Fortnite, the only difference is that Fortnite tried to make a campaign as well. Other games that have tried to replicate this were met with mixed results. I mean, I don’t really ever even HEAR about CoD BR and PUBG has pretty much died as far as I can tell because where people used to talk about it all the time, now it’s only ever even really uttered when people make a comparison.
With 343i getting some backlash from Halo 5: Guardians, is it really a good idea to start stirring the pot so heavily? A lot of players seem to want Halo: Infinite to fall back to its roots; putting aside needed time, resources, and money for BR would literally kill anything else they were trying to put into Infinite. Battle Royale isn’t a small thing you know. To have so many players on one map means a LARGE map has to be made (because as far as I am aware, BR games have almost always had about 50 people in one game at any given point) with a lot of structures and a means of corralling the player towards the center. Plus all the coding and scripting of placing caches and enemies if added; it’s a big job. That’s not something that’ll be done in a few months with only a little bit of the overall resources put into it.
Even as a standalone thing, I still think it’s a terrible idea to try and force Halo to fall into the trend of Battle Royale. Battle Royale is a game mode, game mode type games normally don’t last very long and there have only ever been a few of them (I mean, as far as I am aware; there could be thousands for all I know). Things like FPS’s and being a genre such as Sci-fi, fantasy, etc are vastly different things and their popularities vary.
As someone who loves Halo and isn’t a very big fan of BR games, I’d appreciate it if we never touched that territory. Ultimately, I have no say in the matter, just an opinion to post, but yeah.
From the recent interview with Bonnie, I am pretty sure there will be some sort of battle royale mode in Halo Infinite

Yeah this sums it up well for me. Halo is an arena shooter . It’s not meant for battle royal type modes. Weapons don’t require attachments, or armor to pick up, or even helmets and “ammo”. Hell, I can’t recall Halo using any type of ammo only pickups except for Rockets in Halo 3 or Reach and sniper clips in Halo 2. Any ammo you wanted came directly from uncontrolled weapons.
Personality I think a battle royal would be awesome in the forge/customs browser. Imagine if you were able to host a custom game with 99 people, hop in and out of custom games, go 5 teams of 20 Spartans CTF. Forge with its prefabs means people could build/share/mod bases and create a warlords type map with huge fire teams.
I will say BR should be confined to Customs/Forge in order to keep continuity among the community.
What do you think?
Oh yeah, 99 gladiators custom game, I mean come on.
BR should not be integrated in the Halo Identity
If you enjoyed this game mode on other video games, okay. But this is not a reason to apply it everywhere.
Halo is personally a title that bring me nostalgia and hope for future games, i really dont want to see the introduction of content just because it was popular on other video games.
Halo should keep his identity and learn from his past to progress in the future
If some of the players really feel the need to play Battle Royale in Halo, the next Forge mode will probably give them the opportunity to do so

How so?
YO Halo could totally do battle royale. halo got’s ODST’s . if its ODST’s im down all the way. i don’t think spartan battle royale would work as well as the shock troopers would.
