Infinite Release Date: Early-Mid November 2020?

  • Xbox (original) - released: November 15th, 2001 (Thursday) - Halo: Combat Evolved: November 15, 2001 (Thursday) - Halo 2 - release: November 9, 2004 (Tuesday) - Xbox 360 - released: November 22nd, 2005 (Tuesday) - Halo 3 - released: September 25th, 2007 (Tuesday) - Halo 4 - released: November 6, 2012 (Tuesday) - Xbox One - released: November 22nd, 2013 (Friday) - **Halo 5: Guardians - released: October 27, 2015 (Tuesday)**Halo & Microsoft historically LOVE Tuesdays & Thursdays for BIG releases…Looking at the mainline Halo game’s release dates in conjunction with console generation release dates I suspect that we can expect a release date of MID NOVEMBER. This makes the sense for a few reasons, but of course the main reason being the HOLIDAY season. We already know that Xbox series X is coming out Holiday 2020 & Halo: Infinite is a launch title for it (343 have also said Infinite will release in holiday of 2020) Black Friday is November 27th this year…I know that it’s not the crazy consumer holiday it once was, but it’s still the prime time for consumers to purchase electronics of any kind. I cannot see Microsoft missing out on this opportunity as they Historically never have. That’s my theory & I’m sticking to it :)Also I find it interesting that Halo 5 was the ONLY mainline Halo game to release AFTER November…just goes to show how 343 was off course with the game, marketing, & possibly overall release window. I just don’t see this happening with the launch of a new Xbox console & Halo launch title. It’s too big of an opportunity to miss.

In terms of priority I would think the console would take priority over the game(s).

So you would be better off mapping out the release dates of the previous Xbox consoles; Nov 15 (xbox)… Nov 22 (360)… Nov 22 (one)… Aug 2 (one S)… Nov 7 (one x).

These fell on Thursday, Tuesday, Friday, Tuesday, Tuesday.

So… given that the S was probably an outlier… sometime in November is the go. Probably a Tuesday.

Agreed, mapping out the consoles would be better because if you think about it for almost every halo game there has been a console skin for each game when it came out. But you also have to remember due to Covid-19 the console and game may be delayed to at least early December making it a holiday release like they said initially.

I still think we will most likely see the upcoming Halo Infinite coming out on December 2020. That is the perfect date for the new Halo video game to come out. And, it can also create a lot of excitement from Halo fans once Halo Infinite come out on Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.

Makes sense to me but there’s the possibility that MS tries to get a head start on Sony and release ASAP. Wouldn’t it be awesome if they shot for a September release, we could have the new xbox and Halo 2-3 months. Wow it just dawned on me how close we actually are even if it is a November release. Dreams aside though, I think your scenario is more likely.

Yeah, highly agree that the console and the game are more than likely coming in November, in the mid-Nov kind of range. So we’re actually highly likely less than 5 months away from the console and game’s release. Hope we get that July event earlier in the month.
