On BestBuy.com, Halo Infinite is available for preorder. What do you think of this?

Well it’s also on amazon, Walmart, GameStop etc.
Why would anybody preorder a game when we don’t even know a release date? In fact why would anyone even preorder a modern game in general? You aren’t reserving a copy, which used to be the point of preordering, so you’re just giving them your money for no reason other than blind faith. Please, do yourselves a favor and don’t preorder, atleast until we actually know a release date at the very minimum.

It was delayed until 2021 Microsoft delays Halo Infinite to 2021 - The Verge (theverge.com)Doubtful its 1st of January type of delay. Most likely middle of 2021. These pre-orders are nothing but thin air at this point honestly.

yeah i was aware of all that, just passing on the information instead of ten more threads popping up. plus with the links, i believe i made it idiot proof for those trying to find it.

EB games NZ have it live for preorder too, at $120 for the standard game.
Don’t gasp, it’s just the exchange rate. The X and S over here are $800 and $550.

That’s where I’m at with this as well…if I can go online and find the halo 3 helmet, reach statue, etc. I’ll hold off until I hear something from Microsoft for the different editions.

31st is always a placeholder date. So don’t expect it on the 31st of December
If I were you, I would preorder the most expensive version possible as soon as 343 tells you.

I’m somewhat in agreeance with pre ordering without a release date. Rushing to pre order right now isnt something I’d personally do.
However, it’s very unlikely the game is going to get cancelled or held back for years. It’ll drop in 2021.
For anyone who wants special editions it’s good to get those orders locked in now.
For me as a game pass member I’d rather just play the game for free, save myself a few pennies.
These pre order dates were probably set in place a while ago, retailers are probably just assigning stock ahead of time.

What release dates? They only have placeholders.
Wait till official announcements come then you can decide where to preorder for exclusive items
