I have been a long time Halo fan since Halo Reach, and I have been waiting for Halo Infinite since its announcement back in 2019. The thing that I think I am most excited for would have to be the customization. 343 industries have decided to go back to the darker, worn out & scratched look of the Spartans from Reach, and I think that is a fantastic choice. It makes the Spartans look more battle torn and fierce. Not only that they are also using a similar customization style from Reach. This will help bring forward even more player expression and create a sense of individuality. I know some people are disappointed with the removal of the color system. However, with the new armor coatings that we will be receiving, it could bring infinite possibilities and crazy patterns. Imagine a spartan with bright noticeable tiger stripes or a spartan with bright painted hot-rod flames, or maybe even a spartan with some kind tech coating that is painted all over the Spartan. Remember Halo Infinite is supposed to be a 10-year game, they can add a lot of things in between that time just like MCC. The only thing that I am disappointed in would have to be the elites. I think elites should be a part of Halo Infinite. I know there are issues with player hit boxes in terms of multiplayer and competitive e-sports, but I think it would add another layer of player expression. I also believe that if 343 industries wanted to, they could find some way to work around the issue of player hit boxes. But to that I must say “never say never”.
