Infinite needs to end forced crosplay. Its killing the matchmaking fun

Infinite is too messed up to where you can’t even tell the difference if someone is cheating or if it was the result of something broken. But on the MCC they do blatantly cheat. They don’t deny it when you call them out either.

It has nothing to do with skill or being “good”… just want equal I think

Equal in what? Series X supports 120hz so it’s not frame rates that are the problem. Controllers have aim assist and mice don’t. If anything PC players should be the ones complaining.

The cheaters/modded controller arguements are a joke. Those types represent such a tiny minority of players and won’t be the reason someone gets stuck in Diamond.

Actually Infinite has aim assist on KBM too, hilarious I know :facepunch:

What do you play on?

  1. Cheaters on PC are also a tiny minority
  2. Cheaters on Xbox will get bigger when there is no crossplay, since that extra step they have to make then pays off. The only reason almost all cheaters are on PC is because there is crossplay. If crossplay is removed, a portion of the cheaters will move on to Xbox, since they can then have more of an impact there.

and how do you know it will become big then on the xbox console if there is no crossplay anymore with the pc platform.
so far there are no big cheating problems at all on game’s that you only can play on the xbox and not the pc.
halo 5 is a good exemple that was only release on the xbox one and not has a PC port at all.
and there got no big cheating problems at all.
sadly there was no cheating problems in the first place there.

and for the modded controlers there are with aim bot fuction and so is something microsoft or sony needs to deal with to make sure that type 3th party controlers are not comming on the markt in the first place.

I have an Xbox in my living room and pc upstairs. Typically I prefer my pc, for Multiplayer, since it’s on a smaller, more manageable display than what’s downstairs.

I never rarely ever see anyone of console going consistently 30+ kills in a game. And also if someone is getting steamrolled by a console player that means the other player is better for PC you can be worse and still be better than a console player.

Shaking my head… whatever dude lol

Accusing randoms of cheating is such a weird habit console gamers have got into, but nonetheless forced cross-play needs to go. I realize the idea is to have more players in each queue, but if your best option is it pool every player together than you’re not doing enough. Let players play HOW THEY WANT, and you’ll attract more players. Stop telling us what we’re supposed to find fun. 343’s track record should indicate, they have NO IDEA WHAT HALO PLAYERS FIND TO BE FUN. If they did, we wouldn’t be at the 3rd consecutive BOMB. So put the power in players hands.

Halo 5 DID have a cheater problem, 343 even had to make a statement about cheaters in 2015 to adress the concerns. And still you can find hacks for Halo 5 on the internet. So it’s not like it’s solved now. You can say that a lot of cheaters moved on to other Halo games, since after that MCC and now Infinite came into existance (and newer games are often more interesting for cheaters). But to act as if Halo 5 didn’t have an issue with cheaters is just not true.

And so did earlier Halo-games that where Xbox only. CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, they all had cheaters.

The big issue with Infinite is that the supposed anti-cheat is not realy working very well…

That modding is not per se by buying modded controlers ofcourse, and also not all cheats depend on modded controlers.

On your remark that Microsoft and Sony must do something to make 3rd party controlers not as common: they can’t. There are anti-competition laws in place that forbid companies to do that. If a 3rd party wants to sell own made Xbox or Playstation controllers, they are allowed to do that by law.
Even extremer: if some company wants to sell modded controlers, they are even allowed by law to do that, because of that same law, since cheats are not against the law (only hacking is). The only thing they can do is ban accounts that use those in multiplayer matches.

then please link the artickel from it since when i have google it i see notting at all about it only the statment from the halo infinite cheaters problem there have done not from halo 5.

and if there are also threads on the forum from round that time about it link then also since so far i know there are no threads about it on the halo 5 section from round that time.

any anti cheat system is not going to work any more.
the time’s have chance hard that anti cheating systems and software are doing there thing good that time is now gone.
there are all compleet worthless now since people that make the cheating software are much smarter to bypass then super fast then there have done 10+ years ago.
a developer that needs month’s to make a cheating software or system is going to lose from somebody that only need 1 week or less to make a software for cheating to bypass it.
same with if there updating it its taking month’s for the developers and less then 1 week for the hackers to bypass it again.

and cheating software is not that easy to install on your console since with 1 wrong move you can destroy your console for good with it.
and cheating on the PC is super easy to do since its only dowload the progam and install it and its done.

This game basically has no cheaters in my experience. Been playing Halo online for 2 decades, outside of lagswitching in H2 or modded controllers in H3 cheating has never been a problem. I really think all these people who think the game is full of cheaters are just bad. I know what playing against aimbot/wallhack feels like after 5k+ hours on various pc shooters, and I’ve never noticed a problem with those in infinite.

All you have to do is ask Pc players that are outside of the Halo Waypont forms thay will tell you the complete opposite from what’s being said here.

do you mean more that people that are on reddit or so and are playing on the PC platform tell that the console’s have almost no cheating problem at all and its always comming form the PC platform?

I want on steam and ask around there first about cheating and hacks. Some of the players said the game servers had to give out Ip bands It’s was that bad.

I try to avoid Twitter and reddit as fan boys of both consoles and Pc will not be very trustworthy. So I’ll look for players that actually are playing games.

There was other that said thay didn’t notice it as well but It wouldn’t surprise tham.

Just say what you want to say. I have both options available. Xbox on a larger TV and PC on a smaller monitor. Why are you shaking your head?
