Infinite needs lowered crosshair and classic HUD

I liked the latest campaign reveal, but something bugs me. The HUD is still the exact same than in the flights, and that’s not good.

First, the game absolutely needs an option for lowered crosshair at launch, and it even should be the default. Yes, I know that most FPS use centered, but new players will adapt quickly. Lowered crosshair is an important part of the Halo DNA, and it really makes the game better IMO. I recently replayed Halo CE with lowered crosshair thanks to MCC, and it was way better.

Second,I really don’t like how weapons, grenades and equipements are all shoved into a tiny corner. Let the UI breathe ! It may seem counter intuitive to have elements all around the HUD, but I believed it had better readability. Right now, the HUD only shows you the ammo for your current grenade type and hides the secondary. Also, Halo players are used to have informations in the top corner !

Halo shouldn’t copy other FPS, it should embrace its uniqueness to stand out. And having these two options will help a lot.

As for UI, it works, but I def prefer the older UI given everything is easily viewable (in the case of nades)

Don’t care about the crosshair, but if all the games in the MCC retroactively got an option for that, even if they didn’t have it on launch, I don’t see any good reason why Infinite shouldn’t be made with this in mind.

As for the HUD, yes, it definitely needs to be more spaced out. I’m personally indifferent about which element goes where, but when you have to navigate actual sub-menus on your HUD for grenades and equipment, it’s abundantly clear that it’s too compressed the way it is.

I agree. I miss my lowered crosshairs. It’s great for skyboxes and it’d be perfect for Infinite. Maybe a Halo 3 style UI would be best, or a combo of 3, Reach and 4 what with them having abilities.

It’s really necessary?
