I think Halo Infinite would benefit having weekly or monthly in game tournaments where the winner gets a cosmetic. Pretty much what Modern Warfare does. What do you guys think?
Mmmmmmm idk. They could but I feel like its a little too much. You already have ranked, season rewards, and possibly even seasonal rewards based on ranked. I know a lot of games do this, but Iām not sure how Iād like it in Halo

If they did it maybe monthly or every 2 weeks I think it would be good for the game. People will want to play it because itās something to go after instead of just a rank. And there is skill involved to win it.
They could have it as periodic in game events for ranked maybe. On a social level Iām not sure how well it would work but it is a neat idea.

Yeah that could work too. Like maybe players in the certain rank class go up against others in the same rank class to make it more fair.

Personally Iād really prefer that the devs not be wasting their time on this kind of stuff. I also donāt think exclusive cosmetics are a good idea.

Nothing wrong with exclusive cosmetics. Itās no different than buying a battle pass for cosmetics vs not buying one.
Cosmetics should be able to be gotten by everyone. Letās face it, if it was for tournament winners or such, average or decently players like me or you aināt seeing any of that. Personally I donāt like not being able to get certain armours. I hated it with recon in Halo 3 (Before the vidmasters) and I donāt see it as any different than multiple pre-order bonus only for certain stores.
Call of Duty system was really cool as you could enter the knockout tournament as many times as you wanted. I played with randoms and reached the quarterfinals a bunch and the semis once but I played it about 10 times. Thought it was really cool.
Provided the matches are quick, I love this idea. Having small āGunfightā maps for this would be ideal. Breakout style knockout tournament.
I would love to see it. Worked so well and I would LOVE to see other games do this. If Gears of War did it for 2v2 Gnashers I would play it so much.

Right, it would be a fun little event to do every now and then. Even if I do not win it still sounds fun to me and will motivate me to try to win until the event goes away.

I disagree that cosmetics should be for everyone. People who are able to complete harder content should be rewarded for it. It gives people, who completed the harder content, a sense of accomplishment and makes them feel more special/stand out more. If you give everyone the same thing without them trying then no one will feel that enjoyment of accomplishment/uniqueness.
