The only BR that’ll be in Halo Infinite is the Battle Rifle.

> I fail to see how a stand-alone with its own allocated resources, not connected to any main Halo game in production at that time, would take away from anything you’ve just said. The only way that could happen, is if the Battle Royal game for some reason, would be better and appeal to more players, than the main Halo game, and perhaps that’s your concern, perhaps you’re afraid that a Battle Royal Halo could be made so well that it’d outshine the main game, and you dislike Battle Royal games. Just like there are those who dislike MOBAs because they feel that genre killed off RTS games.

> 10% is taken from air, and the only way a stand-alone Battle Royal would take away from the main series is if i343 didn’t manage to make a good enough main Halo game. Just like the RTS genre hasn’t been the hot stuff in many years because there’s been nothing interesting for the gamers released, not because MOBAs suddenly showed up.
> If it really just was 10%, of what group exactly? You’d have nothing to worry about, but here you are, grasping at straws. So I’d say it’s a fear you have, that a stand-alone Halo Battle Royal could steal any main Halo game’s spotlight, and become more popular, just like what happened with Fortnite.

I know many players that think 343i have ruined Halo without having Battle Royale as an excuse. I’m sure they can turn it around though as what little we’ve seen about Halo Infinite looks promising. You say Battle Royale is dying. How ? Fortnite and Warzone are the two most played games on Xbox. Then there’s also PUBG, Apex and Blackout in the top 50 too.
Even if it was dying how do you know a well made Halo Battle Royale would not succeed ? There’s no way of knowing unless they make it. Also Microsoft brought Ninja to Mixer. He has enough numbers folllowing him to get eyes on the game. There are too many variables to say it will or won’t work. Fact is, some players want Battle Royale, some don’t.
I’ll remain optimistic.
I wouldn’t consider Ninja to be a strong point, his career (sadly for him) kinda died the moment he left Twitch.
That said - and I’m repeating myself here - a stand alone BR in the Halo universe can work and wouldn’t impact Hi at all, especially if it’s not developed directly by 343i. A HW2 kind of situation basically! So I don’t understand why people are getting personal about it. If it’s made and you don’t like it just ignore it. If it’s good you got more options!
HOWEVER this kind of gameplay works better with fairly fast TTKs and without rechargeable health. That’s the opposite of Halo! Also MS already owns PUBG, so if they’re pushing more BR games it’s more probable to be with that IP. I could see a PUBG2 with an ODST spin on it happen though. Maybe as its own mode. If I have to stay realistic, I would say a Halo BR stand-alone game is highly unlikely - based on MSs line-up and release windows that is!

I guess I just don’t want the bones of the game to be taken away… Like they use a Battle Royale mode in lieu of a Warzone for example. I think that 343 could make a pretty bad -Yoink- Halo themed/style BR, but I still want the multiplayer modes that are there, as well as the chapter style/mission campaign. I still want Halo to be Halo.
I mean when they put sprint in Halo 5 people were furious about it!! lol … If there’s BR then there’s BR, but I do not want it to be the main focus of the game. If aint broke…

The chain was about a stand-alone Halo BR being beneficial for both the Stand-alone and the Main game.
A stand-alone would be free to pursue gameplay which suits its style, and all resources would be allocated towards making it that.
While the Main Halo wouldn’t have resources allocated to a mode which most likely would require a significant amount of resources to be worthwhile, as well as being bound by the gameplay of the main game.
No. Please no. It’s just a fad in my opinion and I don’t think it could fit the Halo narrative.

However there’s a big difference between them saying that, and Halo Infinite being the last Halo, and there never being a Battle Royale game or add on to an existing title. As stated 343i have never said either. It’s also a reason I say a stand alone or an optional free expansion to an existing title is better. I live in hope of a Halo Battle Royale one day. Also, that article is around a year old, a lot can change in that time. I think about the start of Halo 3 where the Master Chief is in armour lock. That’s how I would design it.

However he does not rule out a Battle Royale in the future. They have also built the new slipspace engine for Halo Infinite, I bet that engine is more than capable. On topic, Halo Infinite does not need a Battle Royale mode, I’ve always said that, but I would not rule out a Halo Battle Royale in the future.

> > > > > > Again stating your opinion as fact. Why is Halo not the type of game for a Battle Royale mode or game ? It has an fps, twin stick shooter, rts and arcade games, there was even a table top game in the works as far as I recall. Also Halo was never supposed to release as an fps as mentioned above. As stated, Frank was referring to the MCC and Halo 5 in that report when talking limitations, and yes there would be engine limitations for older games, but Halo Infinite and new games will have a new engine going forward.

> > > > Halo being a game based around fun and intersting lore is your opinion of it. So, on your opinion, a Halo Battle Royale could be made to be fun and fit the lore. They did it with Warzone in Halo 5. Frank did not state that. In the article he is saying how they currently view it.
> > > >
> > > > He does not say there will never be a stand alone Halo Battle Royale. Also, Frank is only expressing his views and that article is a year old, who knows what has changed. I don’t care if it’s a stand alone or add on, I just want a Halo Battle Royale, but it’s my opinion a stand alone would be better.
>
> I don’t care about your stupid battle royal also it wasn’t 343 that ruined halo it was activision also yeah battle royals are releasing slower than the are dying so there’s that I don’t care much for battle royal so please stop messaging me about your stupid battle royal as you cannot seem to grasp any evidence against it and literally nobody cares anymore
Stop replying with the wrong info and I’ll ignore it. How did Activision ruin Halo ? They have never had anything to do with Halo. As stated Fortnite and Warzone are the top two most played games on Xbox. There was over 200 million Fortnite players alone across all platforms, in fact I believe it’s nearer 250 million. I’m sure Fortnite and other Battle Royales have had a drop, but given their Xbox chart positions they are obviously still popular. There is no reason a Halo Battle Royale cannot be made, either as an add on or stand alone.
Back on topic. Halo Infinite does not need a Battle Royale, but there are players that want a Halo Battle Royale. If you don’t that’s fine, post your opinion in a polite and respectable manner and move on. However, when you post wrong information, or state your opinion as fact you’ll get challenged. This thread is just players sharing opinions about whether Halo Battle Royale could work or not. Stay and discuss in a polite manner or move on, and stop posting innacurate info like Activision ruined Halo. I don’t know where you pulled that from.
Yeah, still a hard pass on this whole ‘Battle Royale’ Shovelware, boss. Big no.

>

> I don’t think I’m the one who can’t take it, I’ve already expressed my opinions, I’m fine with there being no Battle Royal mode or stand-alone game for Halo, but you’re in this thread insulting others and censoring your own words to make it clear you’re in a bad mood.
> You are free to not respond at any time you like.
I don’t care about the battle royal I’m just trying to say there’s not going to be a stand alone game I’m sorry for being rude but most player cannot seem to grasp the concept of no stand alone game they haven’t ruled out a game mode however which is fine by me but a full game isn’t going to be made.

I can’t be bothered with this you can’t tell me what the director says is wrong when he’s the one in charge of making halo, they have stated that they will always treat it as a game mode rather than a stand alone game which you cannot grasp so if you seriously can’t take the truth then I cannot be held responsible for your ignorance and if you knew that much about halo you would understand that activision was directly involved in halo 4 and 5 which was the main reason for most of the changes I don’t know how you don’t know this information?

I know what Frank said. It’s my opinion that a stand alone Halo would be better, that’s what you cannot seem to grasp. It’s also my hope that they do make a stand alone, changes can be made and game studios change too.
Please link where Activision was involved with Halo 4 and 5.

I can grasp it you just don’t understand it as I’m not talking about your “opinion” im talking about fact, also Let me try and explained the Reason activision is involved, activision was in charge on Bungie the original creators of halo but due to the changes activision wanted to incorporate Bungie split from the company and then Microsoft put 343 in charge making the whole dilemma activisions fault.

You’re not talking about facts. You’re stating your opinions as facts. Again, you’re of the opinion Activision was involved with Halo, please link where Activision were directly involved in halo 4 and 5 which was the main reason for most of the changes. It did not happen, Activision have never been involved with Halo.

Activision-Blizzard and their subdivisions were never involved in the development, marketing and/or financiation of any Halo title so far.
If you mean that H5 and especially H4 took heavy inspiration from CoD during the Don Matrick era, okay. I get that! But that’s not what you’re implying now, is it?
No. Please don’t follow every fad.

You’re the one completely not understanding what’s being discussed.
It does not matter in any single way what Frankie has said regarding battle royal for Halo.
No one is saying there will be a stand alone.
We’re saying that in the hypothetical scenario that a Battle Royal for Halo was planned, a stand-alone version would be far better for both the Stand-alone version and the main Halo game.

Microsoft, you’re talking about Microsoft…
Activision came into the picture for Bungie with Destiny.
Bungie wanted to make Destiny, microsoft wanted more Halo.
Bungie had to make two more Halo games after Halo 3, and thus ODST and Reach were developed and released.
No renewal after that, then Activision came in to publish Destiny.

The part about destiny isn’t relevant Bungie splits with Activision, keeps control of Destiny | PC Gamer also can you stop with “YoUr PoStInG YoUr OpiNionS As FaCt” I’m giving information about the game I don’t care much for battle royal but you cannot seem to grasp that they won’t be making a stand alone game but they may make a gamemode. And if you don’t understand that information than there’s nothing I can do to help you.
