That would be amazing imo. ODST was a one off game but it was intended as an additional DLC for Halo 3, ODST might work as a Battle Royale, but I prefer the idea of Spartans. Also the Halo multiplayer simulation was introduced in Halo 4 as war games, not all the Halo games.

A saga is traditionally one really long story with offshoots coming in and going out of it. Changing it gives them the option and opportunity to expand. You cannot say there will be no Halo Battle Royale. Bonnie Ross has stated in an interview that Battle Royale is discussed at meetings. That would indicate that theyāre toying with the idea, but that does not confirm or rule out a Battle Royale game, or mode.

Whether we see one or not remains to be seen, but Iāll remain optimistic, especially as the trilogy was changed to a saga, and the fact 343i have stated that Halo Infinite is a spiritual reboot.

> It is the last halo as it is going to end as stated by the developers with halo infinite also Spartans have different training simulations than the ODST so it wouldnāt work also playing as a Spartan would make the gameplay unbalanced as it would be a matter of who shot first, also halo has more lore than both those games combined and the fact is that halo would never make a battle royal due to their focus on story and not all out gameplay meaning a battle royal isnāt in the nature of halo so they would never make a halo battle royal
Just link where the developers state itās the last Halo. It might be the current story arc ends with Halo Infinite, but as stated they changed the current trilogy to a saga making Halo Infinite the 3rd game in the Reclaimer saga, 343i have never stated it was the last Halo that I know of, so link please or it didnāt happen. Again stating your opinion as fact because it could easily work with spartans, odst or marines imo. Also like I stated earlier the training simultion was added in Halo 4 and was made to fit Halo. Battle Royale could be made to fit too.

Halo needs a good campaign, Halo isnt going to die because 343 didnt jump on a bandwagon that may die in the future. Halo always succeeded when it did its own thing, the problems with 4/5 is a weak campaign and multiplayer. What made the Bungie era replayable time after time was a campaign you could play over and over, multiplayer that was fun for the 10th, 100th, 1000th time. Thatās how Bungie made the games. 343 can learn from that, Halo 2A is a great example of that.

I do somewhat agree, but there has to be innovation imo. My tastes have changed over the years. I still have my core favourites like DOOM, Ninja Gaiden, Halo etc. I now also like Battle Royale. Iām 100% in agreement that Halo Infinite does not need a Battle Royale mode, and Iām sure youāre correct when you say it wonāt die. Certain fans want different things though.
For example, I would not be happy with a Halo 2 reskin every few years. I would like to see other game genres that I enjoy. RPG and Battle Royale are two genres I like. Having Halo versions would be fantastic imo. I also believe it would bring new players to the Halo franchise, and if a Halo Battle Royale is a stand alone, anti Battle Royale players can avoid it.
If āInfiniteā is going to break away a little bit from past stories it needs to be GREAT! It does not need a Battle Royale⦠However, there are some statements in this thread that make sense. I could see a Halo themed Battle Royale as a filler between title works. Although, I love the Lore of Halo and everything its about.

If they decide to bring Warzone back, I think it would make an interesting Warzone mode. The maps are roughly the right size if the Battle Royaleās player count is limited. Best case scenario is Warzone maps are even bigger, and designed more like a world to battle in than linear, symmetrical maps.

We all know Halo Infinite wonāt be launching with a Battle Royale mode. However thereās a big difference between them saying that, and Halo Infinite being the last Halo, and there never being a Battle Royale game or add on to an existing title. As stated 343i have never said either. Itās also a reason I say a stand alone or an optional free expansion to an existing title is better. I live in hope of a Halo Battle Royale one day. Also, that article is around a year old, a lot can change in that time. I think about the start of Halo 3 where the Master Chief is in armour lock. Thatās how I would design it.

If you had read the entire entry you would have seen that they said it is only possible as a gamemode due to engine limitations also I donāt know why I said last halo because it probably wonāt be.

I donāt know why you think H:I is supposed to be last Halo, because it was already stated multiple times that it wonāt be.
Besides from that, if a tiny minority wants a halo-themed BR, theyā probably be able to create one with Forge.
No need to force 343i to waste their time and resources.
Uh no way. Halo has and always should be there own game. They should not rly to follow the trend.

I donāt know why I said it was the last halo as it probably isnāt but I agree they wonāt create a battle royal due to many factors like software limitations and wasted resources
They should have a
- Classic Halo 4v4,3v3,2v2,1v1 and FFA Playlists
- Battle Royale
Honestly halo 16 vs 16 playlists are so booooooring. And there is no way they compete with battlefield 5ās 32 on 32 gametypes.
I could see halo making a better version of Apex Legends. Maybe you can choose to be an elite, grunt, hunter, etcā¦

I have read the entire post. He did say it would only work as an add on due to engine limitations, but he was referring to the MCC and Halo 5 in that comment. However he does not rule out a Battle Royale in the future. They have also built the new slipspace engine for Halo Infinite, I bet that engine is more than capable. On topic, Halo Infinite does not need a Battle Royale mode, Iāve always said that, but I would not rule out a Halo Battle Royale in the future.

Warzone is a training simulator, why not have a last spartan standing training simulator ?

The fact is halo isnāt the type of game for a battle royal and it seems your incapable of seeing that so I think our discussion is over Iām going to talk to somebody else who is how you say smarter than a pineapple.

Halo was at first an RTS in the same style as Bungieās Myth. One of the first models was even a Flood creature.
Then it was meant to be a third person shooter.
After that it became an FPS.
Someway down the line a fan project was made called Halo 0, which was a side-scroller. Another fan-project started, I do not recall its name but it was an RTS mod for some RTS game, which if I recall was issued a sieze and deceit order, not long after that Halo Wars, the RTS was announced. After that news surfaced about a Halo MMORPG being cancelled in favour of Halo Wars.
Weāve since then gotten top-down shooters and board games.
Halo could easily fit a stand-alone Battle Royal game featuring squads of ODSTs with specific roles / classes and unique abilites and traits such as medics, engineers, heavy weapons, snipers and so forth.
Dropping in from high orbit if thatās required, or emerging from underground access points into a city, carshing in with a pelican or whatever way of entry can be imagined which is in somw way interesting.
Heck, why not insurrectionists, covenant, the banished, UNSC, ONI, Hand of the Didact or whatever different factions could be used all with different abilities and traits.
Objectives and points of interests to capture / destroy / defend / hold and so forth instead of scavenging for equipment, or instead of just scavenging for equipment.
Iāve played around with the idea of how a Halo moba would work, and I think Iāve got some nice ideas thatād work well, while differentiating it from other mobas.
Halo āmainā would perhaps be slightly difficult to make into a good battle royal, but to say that Battle Royal doesnāt suit Halo, is just simple denial.
No, I have not liked what little BR Iāve played, and I do not support the idea of a Battle Royal implemented into Infinite.
That doesnāt however stop the possability of a stand-alone version.

There were multiple mods as far as I recall. The one youāre referring to was for Command and Conquer Generals while I remember at least another one for Star Wars - Empire at War.
I have also played a Battlefield 1942 mod, Homefront, myself. It even had an amazing original soundtrack.
You also forgot the MegaBloks game.
After launch, fine, do whatever you want. A spin off, yeeeeessss. At launch, noooooooooo.

Pretty much this. If 343i wants to do something crazy and different, they can make a spin-off. If they want to go making a game where all the armor types and VISR types actually do what their flavor text says, there can be some Halo RPGāesque spin-off thatās not tied down by the Arena style gameplay of the mainline games, like how Halo Wars and Spartan Assault/Strike or Fireteam Raven can go and do whatever they want without messing up the mainline games.
Spin-offs have total freedom.
Over saturation is a thing. I like battle royale but thereās too much of it on the market. Iād rather them focus on building a core game which is enjoyable for a substantial amount of time. And when population drops, launch a new game mode like BR.
I whole heartedly believe 343i is capable of making a good game and they have extremely talented members. But they seem to dwindle with multi tasking sometimes. Itās not a bad thing, when thereās so many things going on at once we get distracted and lose focus. So I think 343i should focus on a good base game that DOESNT NEED battle royal and is fun and itāll be successful without bandwagoning at launch and you can always add stuff later. Halo 5 kept popping out with stuff for a whole year. Not crazy to think 343 could make us a battle royal. But I think itās a trend and numbers for big BR games drop and spike. Itās not consistent. So I wouldnāt put all my eggs on focusing on BR if itās an inconsistent trend
