I do this a lot, but if needs to be said. Everyone who is interested in this topic, go watch the video Teh Spearhead made on it. It’s a great video that goes into the topic quite well in my opinion.
Nope keep that trendy garbage away from Halo. This will be locked soon anyway.
I’m gonna give you some much needed Hard-Truths here. This is a poor post, supported by a poor argument. If we want this community to strengthen and unify, delivering on a traditional Halo experience is the best and quite possibly only pathway to doing so.
I’m positive that on a social level, an action sack mode made in forge and played in Custom Games would be a great home for a chaotic battle royale mode, but it cannot cost 343 any resources and it cannot be factored into the identity of this title.
Continuing this debate is only going to perpetuate this problem.
No, it does not.
Don’t feel it would be a good use of resources to chase a dying shooter trend like 4 and 5 elected to. Not a big BR guy so I’m biased enjoying warzone right now pubg was pretty fun.

I mean, it would be a neat mode, but I don’t think Halo “needs” it. I’m just excited for that campaign.

> I think you guys are all wrong. the game modes in halo 5 get stale and if infinite has a forge mode even better bc Battle royale maps can be created and cycled every week keeping the game fresh.
> like why would anyone continue playing infinite after the first week? the campagn 30 times over? slayer BTB are all boring. 343 needs to jump on the bandwagon bc if they don’t halo is going to continue to die.
Let’s start by saying: NO
The BR trend has only gained it’s popularity because Fortnite proved to be a success with multiple audiences. Recently CoD made another BR addition, which caters to… CoD fans.
The Battle Royale trend has passed, and has joined the other game genres as an equal, not as a media superior giant with dominating amounts of players.
You say Halo needs to follow the bandwaggon… Do you know is EXACTLY what caused it the most harm, when Halo 4 pretended to be a meager CoD clone with the multiplayer?
Halo Infinite needs no such thing, because it comes with its own gamemode called WARZONE, where two teams fight each other for map control, boss kills and have a variety of weapons and vehicles available to help them do that.
Also you say ‘‘why would anyone continue playing infinite after the first week? (…) slayer BTB are all boring’’ I am going to assume you are saying the amount of gamemodes available, forge, custom games, theater and all that is… boring?
Yes, let’s endlessly jump into a 100 player game, die, research for match, die, research for a match, die, research for a match over and over, because THAT is fun more several weeks.
No OP, you’re gonna face more opposition on this wish for Battle Royale in Halo than you can imagine.
I don’t think that’s a good idea, if someone can make it in custom games and have it stay in custom games I wouldn’t care, but I don’t want it to be a featured playlist.
Gonna have to agree with the majority here, I don’t want to see Halo chasing trends, most especially if it takes resources away from the development of proper Halo gametypes. If they can give us the tools to create our own BR in custom games, I think that should be sufficient.

I’d be down for the largest, functional, single or point based respawn system, game of multi-team possible. With the right type of objective(s) and map design, I believe a large scale, true to halo, BR inspired game mode could work and be fun. If it’s meant to be it’ll develop like Grifball. If 343 doesn’t, which is likely, I’ll definitely be looking for something in customs.
Unbelievable. I just can’t believe this kind of S… that I just read.

Tattoo this to the OP’s forehead please.
P.S. If a battle royale mode were eventually added it would need to be unique and appropriate for Halo. No moronic floss dances and dumb -Yoink- like that.

Something along those lines would be a lot of fun…
No it definitely dose not.

If it happened naturally, that would be a different story. Halo 3’s Infection came from Halo 2’s Zombies, which was a community created gametype. Grifball was literally made for a Red vs Blue video to advertise a new map pack, and it has now been included in every Halo game since. If there were enough community-created Battle Royale maps being played in Custom Games, 343i might want to included it in a matchmaking playlist of its own, but that depends entirely on the players. There’s no point shoehorning it in if the community doesn’t prove it popular to begin with.
No it doesn’t.
Hi no need for a battle royal mod. A warzone 2.0 reinvented with larger map new option and different game mood into the warzone experience will be great
I think someone in 343 said the only BR they’re focusing on is the battle rifle. This was a while ago. I never was a fan of the battle royal concept anyway.
343 already confirmed battle royale is not going to be in halo infinite.
However… there are some things in battle royale games that I think definetly should be in infinite…
Large scale maps and large player counts… an abitlity to have odst drop pod spawns…
Really halo infinite can be its own very unique thing…
I can imagine a multiplayer objective based game with 32 vs 32… lol… now as I speak… i just realized… invasion. Reboot invasion. (from halo reach). also implement aspects from warzone. owo or vice versa… warzone with aspects of invasion. I think thats a great idea.
What I like about battle royale… is the grand scale of things. The massive map, the ability to explore everywhere without those hard invisible boundaries that have plagued games for decades. Maybe an option to choose your spawn and also the sky dive lol. But im also in favor of the game deploying you from a pelican or phantom … or whatever… titan fall vibes.
