MCC has a match composer that lets you launch into a game/playlist that pretty much guarantees you’ll make progress on your weekly challenges with every game you play.
It’s still VERY early in this Infinite MP Beta. I’m very thankful the team is making updates to the challenges already. If you missed it, Halo Support tweeted out today what Uny announced yesterday - fixes to weekly challenges, and changes to make them easier to complete.
However, I can still see myself getting very frustrated with the weekly challenge and ultimate challenge system.
To be clear - I’m not personally concerned about XP payout and Battlepass progression. The battlepass will never expire, so I don’t care how long it takes - but that’s just me.
What I care about is the limited amount of time most gamers have on any given week - and their ability to complete whatever the weekly challenges are to unlock the ultimate challenge in order to earn a specific, time gated, reward.
I want to know what is 343’s expectation for the number of hours to complete the weekly/ultimate challenge.
The new challenges should be easier that they were in the first 3 days.
However, I’m sure we’ll still see people getting onto their last 1-2 challenges, and those might be CTF related. And I can see people will be playing in whatever playlist they choose, but continuing to get Oddball or Slayer over and over, and never getting their CTF game mode to pop up. This is a massive step back from MCC, and I think Infinite will need to implement a Match Composer at some point in it’s lifetime to make it so people don’t pull their hair out trying to complete these time gated weekly ultimate challenges.
